New World, Dressrosa
"Fuffuffuffu..."
A tall man standing over three meters, with short blond hair, sunglasses, a pink feather coat, cropped trousers, and pointed shoes, sat in a luxurious chair holding a newspaper as he let out a strange laugh.
He was none other than Dressrosa's king, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, a man involved in underground arms dealing and human trafficking who moved freely through both the underworld and the legitimate world—Heavenly Yaksha Donquixote Doflamingo.
"Crocodile actually got killed. That rookie called Slayer is really something. This world is becoming more and more interesting. Fuffuffuffu..."
"Doffy, should we send some Family members to make contact with that Slayer? Behihihi..." asked an ugly middle-aged man. He held a cane marked with a club symbol and wore tiny sunglasses. Half a strand of snot hung before his mouth, while the upper half of his hair was cut in straight bangs and the lower half hung down like glue. Barefoot and shackled at the ankles, with patchy stubble on his upper lip and sparse teeth, he wore a cape covered in circles that resembled a quilt.
"Not yet. Slayer Rody isn't someone easy to talk to. If you go, there's a good chance he'll kill you."
"You are my family. There's no need to take such meaningless risks. Once he enters the New World, I'll go meet him myself. Fuffuffuffu..." Doflamingo said pleasantly as he set down the newspaper and gazed out at the vast sea beyond the window.
Kuraigana Island.
Inside the enormous castle amid the kingdom's ruins, Hawk-Eye Mihawk, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea and known as the world's greatest swordsman, was sipping red wine while reading the newspaper.
"Crocodile... is dead!"
"Slayer, Rody." Hawk-Eye Mihawk set down the newspaper and calmly looked out the window. "What a pity. He isn't a swordsman."
[T-X Terminator at your service ×10] [Please set permissions ×10]
Rody took out the cards dropped from the treasure chest. A flash of white light passed, and ten expressionless Western women with blond hair, dressed in red leather jackets and pants, appeared before him.
They turned out to be robots from Terminator—not androids or clones. However, as far as the Terminator films went, aside from the T-800 Terminator played by the Governor, Rody only remembered the T-1000 Terminator, whose entire body could turn into liquid metal.
Rody summoned the Divine Dogs and had them call Nami and the others over. In less than a moment, before Rody had even finished a cup of tea, they pushed open the door and entered.
"Rody, these are?" Robin, Nami, and Vivi sat down beside Rody, while Windfire Wheel, Mike, and the others stood behind him, all looking curiously at the ten Terminators ahead.
"Yeah, Captain, where did you find these female robots? They all look exactly the same." Windfire Wheel scanned them with the detector in his eyes and immediately determined that they were robots.
"They're robots? I was wondering why there were ten identical people." Hearing Windfire Wheel's words, everyone nodded, the doubts in their minds answered.
Seeing that everyone already knew the Terminators were robots, Rody addressed the ten T-1000s. "Set Rody, Nami, Vivi, and Robin as highest-authority users."
"Set Mike, Carmen, Windfire Wheel, Leo, and Jose as secondary-authority users."
"Permissions successfully set. Terminator model T-X at your service. Please issue your command."
"Demonstrate and explain every function you possess." Once the permissions had been set, Rody gave the T-X units his command.
At Rody's command, the T-X Terminators began explaining and demonstrating. Rody soon learned what they could do. The T-X Terminators had superalloy skeletons and lifelike liquid-metal skin. Their skeletal frames could twist and deform at will, while their arms could transform into particle impact cannons with considerable firepower. Their liquid-metal portions could also form precision mechanical tools, use nanoprobes to infiltrate electronic systems, alter programs, dominate and control lower-level mechanical systems, and their internal algorithms were highly advanced as well.
"That's way too incredible. They really feel like robots from the future!" Everyone was somewhat stunned by the T-X Terminators' capabilities.
"Windfire Wheel, why do I feel like these robots are much more advanced than you?" Leo said with a grin, knocking on Windfire Wheel's arm.
"Hmph. These robots are indeed better than me in some areas, but there's one thing they can't compare to me in." Windfire Wheel put his hands on his hips and looked at the T-X Terminators confidently.
"Oh? What is it?" Having seen the T-X Terminators' abilities, everyone was curious that Windfire Wheel still dared to sound so confident, and they all turned to look at him.
"Hehe, obviously my brilliant brain. I have an intelligent brain just like a human's. These female robots may have impressive functions, but they can't think for themselves. I'm different. I used to be the number two figure in Time City, and I have management abilities. I can easily handle the affairs of an entire city." Windfire Wheel spoke to everyone with a proud expression.
Windfire Wheel was not wrong about that. Whether they were from the Vehicle Clan or Beast Clan, the robots of the Machine Beast World all possessed their own thoughts and personalities.
"Robin, how is the gathering of Baroque Works members going?" Rody asked, giving Robin's thigh a squeeze.
"All the Baroque Works members have been gathered. They're currently waiting in the banquet hall for their new Boss to show himself. I was just about to come tell you about it." Robin nodded.
"Alright. You and Vivi will come with me." Robin led Rody, Vivi, and five T-X Terminators toward the banquet hall.
Inside the spacious banquet hall, Baroque Works' officers sat down along both sides of a long table, waiting for the Boss they had never met.
Along the two sides of the table sat Mr. 1 Daz Bones and his partner Miss Doublefinger Paula, Mr. 2 Bon Clay, Mr. 3 Galdino, Miss Goldenweek Marianne, Mr. 4 Babe, Miss Merry Christmas Dorothee, Mr. 5 Gem, and Miss Valentine Mikita—all senior agents of Baroque Works. Just as everyone was beginning to grow impatient—
