Background

Before Madara Uchiha's death, a White Zetsu was entrusted with delivering and protecting the embryo that would become Cangshu Qianyu. It later saved Qianyu during the Nine-Tails' attack and continued observing him after his arrival in Konoha. 1 2

The White Zetsu revealed Qianyu's origins as a creation made from Madara and Hashirama Senju's cells through Yin-Yang Release. It remained close to Qianyu afterward, acting as an informant and protector. 3 4

Qianyu formally named it Abin after it retrieved a vast cache of Madara's scrolls. The name gives Abin a sense of individual identity and belonging; it reacts with overwhelming joy and begins referring to itself by that name. 6

Tsunade later established Abin's human identity as Cangshu Bin, a retired Konoha jonin assigned as Qianyu's personal guard and training assistant. This cover allows him to live openly beside Qianyu while continuing his covert work. 32

Appearance

In its natural state, Abin is a distorted White Zetsu with a cold, slimy, irregular body, grass-like hair, and small bean-like eyes. 6

After receiving a human identity, Abin adopts a human form modeled on Qianyu's memories of his former life. The face resembles Qianyu's past-life appearance by roughly seventy to eighty percent, though Abin's livelier demeanor and curious eyes remain distinct. 32
