Background / History

Ten thousand years before the story, the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect renamed itself the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect after Ning Rongrong's martial soul evolved into the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda and she became the Nine-Colored Goddess. The sect itself did not inherit the evolved pagoda martial soul or Ning Rongrong's bloodline. 19

Without the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, the sect gradually declined from the world's second-greatest sect to a power described as the lower end of the first-rate factions. It nevertheless retained its wealth, extensive commercial reach, and ability to offer resources to sufficiently talented recruits. 19 36

The sect preserves a longstanding connection with Shrek Academy and uses the academy as a venue to identify and recruit young talent. Ning Tian, its young sect mistress, attends Shrek specifically to build connections and seek prospective members and a future Guardian Douluo. 4 19 25

After the freshman assessment's round-robin matches, the sect authorizes Ning Tian to give Jiang Yue the complete technique and cultivation notes. In return, it requests only that he prioritize the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect if he chooses to join a faction after graduating from Shrek. 25

Freshman Assessment

Ning Tian's team represents the sect's combat strength during the freshman assessment. Her Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda enhancement skills boost Wu Feng and Nanmen Yun'er, while her mastery of the Distraction Control Technique enables sustained auxiliary support. 20 30

Jiang Yue defeats Ning Tian's team in the semifinal, but the encounter ends without hostility; Ning Tian accepts the result calmly, and their exchange suggests an emerging understanding between them. 32

Investigation into Jiang Yue's Past
