Bei Bei joined the declining Tang Sect of his own accord and became its eldest senior brother. He helped Tang Ya begin to understand the sect's secret arts, which she had initially struggled to grasp. 11

He and Tang Ya accepted Huo Yuhao into the Tang Sect after learning that Huo was an orphan, despite Huo's limited initial talent. Bei Bei later accompanied Tang Ya and Huo Yuhao into Star Dou Forest to secure their needed soul rings before Shrek Academy's enrollment. 10

Star Dou Forest Soul Hunt

Bei Bei accompanies Tang Ya and Huo Yuhao into Star Dou Forest to find suitable spiritual-attribute soul beasts. When a mutilated thousand-year Datura Snake appears, he shields his companions and prepares for the possibility of a stronger pursuer before Jiang Yue reveals that he had been hunting the snake. 10

After Jiang Yue gives the dying Datura Snake to Tang Ya, Bei Bei recognizes Jiang Yue as an extraordinary young Soul Elder and worries for the first-year students who may have to face him at Shrek Academy. 10

Xu Sanshi Soul Fight

When Xu Sanshi provokes Huo Yuhao over grilled fish, Bei Bei intervenes and accepts Xu Sanshi's challenge in the Soul Fighting District. He warns Jiang Yue against betting too heavily, while privately displaying confidence that he can win. 17

With Huo Yuhao's perception-enhancing soul skill supporting him, Bei Bei overwhelms Xu Sanshi from the outset, finds a gap in his defense, and paralyzes him with lightning to secure victory. 18
