Origins of the Black Lantern Ring

Tony brought Spider-Man back to Avengers Tower. He made no comment on Spider-Man's battle with Mordo. After all, it had been a battle between magic and the real world, so there was no comparing them. They would never truly grasp the mysteries of magic. Not even Doctor Strange was qualified to fully comprehend them.

Lu Mingyu collapsed wearily onto the bed in his room. He had to admit, Tony's little room was really huge. He knew it was probably as large as a track field, and it was even a secret room. So, Lu Mingyu really wanted to know: was this what rich people's lives were like?

Tony pushed the door open. Jarvis helped remove his armor while arranging a room for Spider-Man. Tony shook his head. Mordo's affairs were beyond their ability to handle. They could only wait for Doctor Strange to step in. Magic was not something Tony could fight against.

After all, science could not deal with magic. Every law in that world defied scientific understanding.

"Hey, Tony, the one you're holding is..." Lu Mingyu was so exhausted that he could barely see clearly, but in that instant, he caught sight of the spider emblem. He shot upright in bed and pointed at Spider-Man. "Is that... is that Spider-Man? And that new gear? My God, he's my idol too!"

Tony looked at Spider-Man in his arms and pressed a finger to his lips. "Keep it down."

Lu Mingyu quickly shut his mouth. He knew he had indeed lost his composure just then.

Tony said, "Even if he's changed his gear, I still want to call him the Pajama Baby. You know, he hasn't done anything serious all day. At his age, he should probably be in high school, about the same as you."

Lu Mingyu did not have an ounce of strength left. He lay back down and said, "If I can become friends with Spider-Man, oh my God, I feel like my life is going to heaven."

Tony did not understand what Lu Mingyu meant by going to heaven. He placed Spider-Man in another room, then returned to Lu Mingyu's room. "Tomorrow morning, I'll train you two. You and Spider-Man are the same age, so I think you'll work better together on missions. I should pair you up, since you have more in common. Especially academic topics, like electric currents and so on. Oh, right, you can also talk to him about your super speed. He's always been interested in Quicksilver, though he knows Quicksilver sacrificed himself. So..."

"Okay, Mr. Tony. Tomorrow, I'll discuss myself with Spider-Man, hahaha." Lu Mingyu was simply too happy. At that moment, he did not even know how to show off properly. If others found out he was friends with Spider-Man, that would be absolutely awesome. He did not know why he had not been this happy when he met Tony, but meeting Spider-Man filled him with unusual pride and excitement. Maybe it was because Spider-Man was the same age as him.

He eagerly awaited tomorrow.

The Flash looked at the rift before him and could not help marveling at how the world seemed to have been torn apart. The rift split Central City's Flash Museum cleanly in two, and an inexplicable suction force came from within it. It was clearly not the Speed Force, but something even more terrifying. Lightning coursed across his body as he vibrated at high speed. Cisco had just told him that he could connect with this rift through a Speed Force-generated breach.

He stood still, yellow lightning flickering in his eyes. Then he suddenly began running madly. Everything froze, and his speed was enough to stir up a tornado. Or even a lightning storm.

His super-speed movement drew the Justice League's attention. They did not know what trouble Barry had encountered or why he was running so desperately. On the Watchtower, a man covered from head to toe in gray metal sat in a chair, watching the Flash through a screen he had created. He had no idea what had happened to Barry.

So, he formed a portal in his hand and headed for Central City. He needed to find out what was going on. Batman had just pushed open the door when he saw Steel Bone vanish from the Watchtower. He sighed. Green Lantern and he had been pursuing the Black Lantern Ring, only to lose it. He had hoped Steel Bone could help, but seeing him disappear into the portal, Batman said nothing and merely sighed. With Steel Bone occupied elsewhere, capturing the Black Lantern Ring could only be left to Green Lantern and himself.

As an alarm sounded, signals indicating unstable space continuously locked onto Central City. Batman muttered a prayer to God as he pulled up the surveillance footage. Clusters of lightning were moving at high speed beside the rift. If Batman had not guessed wrong, that lightning was Barry!

Green Lantern staggered out of the green lantern, clearly having gone through something unbelievable while pursuing the Black Lantern Ring. His head was still spinning, and he even felt like he was about to throw up.

"I don't know how you train, but I still have to say it, your physique is really impressive." Green Lantern did not forget to mock Batman's physical condition, but Batman cut him off. Looking at Green Lantern, Batman asked, "Do you still have the strength?"

Green Lantern forced himself to remain calm. "You underestimate my stamina. This is routine for me."

"Good." Batman said one thing, then addressed Steel Bone entirely through his next words: "Open a portal on the Watchtower. We need to get to that rift quickly. Barry can't hold on alone."

Green Lantern was instantly dumbfounded. Looking at the screen and then Batman, he said, "Wait, you never told me we were continuing..."

Before Green Lantern could finish, a portal appeared to the right of Batman and Green Lantern. Batman looked at the hesitant Green Lantern and said, "Move."

At the same time, Batman shoved Green Lantern directly into the portal. In an instant, the scenery before their eyes changed without end. Green Lantern fought down the urge to vomit, too embarrassed to actually throw up. But the moment the scenery finally reassembled and stopped changing, Green Lantern could not hold it in any longer and vomited. He dared say this was absolutely the most humiliating moment of his life.

"Alright, now that you're done vomiting, it's time to get to work." Batman stared intently at the rift. This was definitely no ordinary rift. It was a tear that had ripped apart the world. Inside it were endless stars, and it even seemed as if they could see one—one Earth after another!

That was Batman's feeling. He could not shake the sense that something was wrong. Just then, a white light arrived in an instant. Green Lantern pointed at the white light. "The Black Lantern Ring!"

Yes, white light flickered from the Black Lantern Ring, like an evil little sprite in the midst of a carnival!

"Catch it!" Batman immediately ordered. At the same time, the cannon in Steel Bone's hand instantly aimed at the Black Lantern Ring. But unexpectedly, the cannon's force blasted the Black Lantern Ring directly into the rift, while a Dark Blade sprang out from within it. The Flash's power was instantly absorbed. At the same time, the Flash came to a stop and was about to seize the Dark Blade when it flew into the rift like a victorious champion.

The surrounding crowd was terrified. They had never seen such a bizarre scene, and the situation quickly spiraled out of control. They all believed Barry had created the rift. After all, the Flash's power was incredibly formidable.

In an instant, the crowd gathered before the Flash Museum descended into chaos, like a startled herd of beasts.
