Extreme Explosion

Lu Mingyu held Black Lantern Quicksilver and the others. Once he saw the explosion completely enveloped by Scarlet Witch's power, he relaxed and exited his speed state. But that did not mean he could stop. He continued watching the explosion vigilantly.

No one knew why Dark Blade had exploded, nor did anyone know why Lu Mingyu had saved Black Lantern Quicksilver.

Only Lu Mingyu himself knew. He wanted to save Black Lantern Quicksilver, then have him lead him to the world rift. Lu Mingyu suspected that the world rift could send him back to the universe that belonged to him. After all, DC items could now pass through the world rift into the Marvel world, so Lu Mingyu suspected that he had arrived the same way.

When Lu Mingyu came to this world, he gained new powers. The same was true of the Black Lantern Ring. The Black Lantern Ring here, along with some DC abilities, had become completely different. Therefore, Lu Mingyu could clearly determine that he had definitely crossed over through the world rift. Moreover, anyone or anything that passed through the world rift would gain new abilities.

That was Lu Mingyu's understanding of the world rift.

The flames of the explosion before him were like a small ball glowing white. Scarlet Witch's energy continuously compressed it, and beneath the red energy, its dazzling light appeared incredibly magnificent. It possessed a strange kind of beauty. Lu Mingyu backed away while watching the explosion. He did not want to leave, nor could he leave, because Dark Blade was still within Scarlet Witch's energy. That was why Lu Mingyu had remained all this time.

As Hawkeye watched Scarlet Witch control the explosion and sensed Lu Mingyu's tremendous speed, he was too shocked to speak. At first, he had thought he was certainly going to die, but the young man before him had saved him.

Lu Mingyu watched the screaming Scarlet Witch. He knew Scarlet Witch's power had not been enhanced. After all, Scarlet Witch had the Avengers' strongest individual combat ability. That was what Lu Mingyu believed, because Scarlet Witch could inflict immense, immense damage.

"Are you all right?" Lu Mingyu looked at Hawkeye, the only one who could speak.

Hawkeye said awkwardly, "I'm fine. You can put us down. Aren't you tired?"

That was right. Although Lu Mingyu was not tired, Hawkeye looked as though he was having a hard time. Lu Mingyu held Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch in his hands, carried a thread-bound Black Lantern Quicksilver over his right shoulder, and was not exactly moving conveniently. No matter how Hawkeye looked at it, it seemed awkward.

Although Lu Mingyu wore the Allen Armor, that did not mean the armor provided him with strength. Hawkeye had heard about Lu Mingyu from Tony, so he knew about the armor Lu Mingyu wore. Tony had bragged quite a bit when he made this armor. But as Hawkeye looked at it, it did not seem particularly impressive. Its lines simply glowed.

Although Hawkeye and the others were not in Avengers Tower—or rather, had been treated as fugitives by those bastards—they could still stay in contact with Tony. After all, the Avengers might appear to be just those few people to outsiders, but after the Civil War, they all agreed that the Avengers were still the Avengers. Nothing had changed too much, except Hawkeye and the others could no longer appear through normal channels.

Tony had always been trying to mend the relationship between them, so he kept offending those higher-ups until they no longer trusted him.

"I'm not tired. I don't know why, but you don't feel that heavy," Lu Mingyu answered Hawkeye's earlier question, then continued watching the explosion warily.

Black Lantern Quicksilver's mouth slipped free from the threads wrapping him. "Hahaha, do you see that? My sister is helping you escape, yet you just stand there, keeping my sister on the verge of collapse. What exactly are you doing?"

Lu Mingyu glanced at Black Lantern Quicksilver from beneath his visor. He did not know what the Black Lantern Ring had gone through while passing through the world rift, but some of its traits had indeed changed. Still, that was dangerous for Lu Mingyu. Listening to Black Lantern Quicksilver's words, he felt they made sense. But he could not retreat, because Dark Blade was still here. Dark Blade definitely had some connection to the world rift.

Hawkeye realized the problem as well. "Why aren't you retreating?"

"I don't need to tell you. Wanda has to stop this explosion. This is a fifty-story building. If I retreat, the whole building will collapse. If you want to blame someone, blame yourselves for fighting on the rooftop." Lu Mingyu came up with an excuse. Though it sounded reasonable, guilt still filled his heart.

I'm sorry. I want to go home.

That was what Lu Mingyu thought. He watched the explosion and kept his attention on Dark Blade.

Scarlet Witch screamed. She was about to collapse, her power already at its limit. Lu Mingyu did not know what kind of force Dark Blade's explosion represented, but even Wanda had to suppress it for so long. That showed just how powerful the explosion was.

Back in Captain America 3: Civil War, Wanda had controlled an explosion too, but it had not been nearly as difficult as this. She had pushed the explosive energy into the sky, causing casualties among the people in the building.

This time, she could have pushed the explosion into the sky as well, without causing any danger, since they were on the rooftop. But Wanda could not do it at all, because this explosion was simply too powerful. She could only maintain the current state.

Black Lantern Quicksilver's mocking voice reached Lu Mingyu's ears. "This is what you call heroes? Saving people while disregarding whether your own comrades live or die? Using her power like this, I'd guess it'll cause damage, right? Are you really that unconcerned?"

"Shut your mouth." Lu Mingyu's face darkened. He could not let Black Lantern Quicksilver say anything too excessive. Black Lantern Quicksilver wanted to use old memories and psychological warfare to make his opponents collapse.

Black Lantern Quicksilver laughed loudly. "I hit the nail on the head, and now you won't let me talk?"

Hawkeye fell silent. He felt Black Lantern Quicksilver was not wrong. But Lu Mingyu immediately crushed that thought. "He eats people's hearts. He'll eat the hearts of people he knows too. You're superheroes, so naturally, you'll provide him with limitless energy. That's why he targets people close to you. Understand?"

"He'll say things that make you question your entire life. I advise you not to listen."

That was what Lu Mingyu said.

Then the explosive flames surged. Wanda finally could not withstand that energy any longer. Dark Blade truly was extraordinary. Lu Mingyu turned and ran, racing vertically down the building's glass toward the ground. The moment he leaped onto the glass, everyone was stunned. Even Quicksilver had not expected Lu Mingyu to possess such an ability.

Reverse-Flash had just taught him this ability. Though he had only explained the principle, Lu Mingyu still wanted to try it, especially with Wanda's help beside him.

Completely exhausted, Wanda leaned against Lu Mingyu's right arm and watched the scenery change. Everything flashed past in an instant. She only knew that they had jumped from the roof and arrived on the ground.

Wave after wave of dizziness made Hawkeye and Wanda vomit. They could not hold it back.

At that moment, the entire building was damaged by the explosion. Everything above the twentieth floor had vanished.

Lu Mingyu stared at the explosion's destructive power in shock. His heart pounded nonstop, a sign of fear.
