Background / History
Rena is the daughter of Moni, owner of the Moni Brothers Tavern in Greenport’s Lower City. Her family came to Greenport after Moni and fellow stonemasons sought work outside the Rayak Kingdom’s royal capital. The Stonemasons Brotherhood won a major construction contract through the goblin broker Slyshadow Shatterstone, but Slyshadow withheld payment and employed Dursley and the Bloodfang Gang to harass them. The gang’s intimidation left the tavern nearly without customers. 12 17 18
Before arriving at the tavern, Rena was rescued alongside other victims from a black-robed ritual site by Pete Chinar. She asked Pete not to tell her family about her encounter with the black-robed people, fearing they would worry. 12 17
Although she initially wanted to avoid the thugs outside her family’s tavern, Rena proved capable of defending herself: after Pete defeated the gang members, she ambushed their leader with a brick and dragged the unconscious men into an alley. 14 16 17
Seeking power to protect her family, Rena accepted Pete’s introduction to Noven, the God of Knowledge. She received 10 Knowledge Points as a new believer, then spent points to obtain the principles and procedure for creating a vocational talent assessment array. 19 21
Appearance
Rena is a neatly dressed young woman from an ordinary Lower City family. Her clothes are plain and slightly old but carefully washed; she has brown hair like her father, Moni. 17 25
- Often wears practical, ordinary clothing suited to tavern work. 25
- Used gray hooded robes and a white veil to hide her identity during black-market activities. 28 29
- Wore a black nun’s habit while representing the Knowledge Sect’s aptitude-test operation. 28 31
Personality
Rena is warmhearted, cheerful, and grateful toward those who help her. She admires Pete’s magic and trusts him after he rescues her and helps drive away the thugs threatening her family. 12 19
Her concern for Moni and the tavern drives much of her decision-making. She is willing to take personal risks as Pete’s public-facing partner because she wants to repay him and find a way to end the Bloodfang Gang’s harassment. 18 22
Despite her gentle outward impression, Rena can be decisive and physically bold when protecting others. Her early brick ambush and later attempt to strike the gang leader from concealment reveal both initiative and a willingness to act first. 17 43
Abilities & Skills
Stealth
Rena’s exceptional affinity with Murphy, the God of Shadow, makes the Stealth path her strongest professional fit, with potential to reach Tier 6. 24 25

- Provides no direct offensive power and does not compensate for her weak physical foundation. 43 44
Vocational Talent Assessment Knowledge
Rena obtained the principles and basic procedure for creating a vocational talent assessment array from Noven. 21
- Helped establish an aptitude-testing ritual without requiring a true believer of Phil, the God of Justice, to officiate. 21 22

- Partnered with Pete to use the testing service in the Lower City black market. 22 28

Story Role / Major Arcs
Moni Brothers Tavern Trouble
Rena brings Pete to her family’s tavern, where they encounter men extorting Moni on Dursley’s orders. After Pete confronts the gang, Rena finishes the encounter by knocking out the leader with a brick. 13 14 16 17
She explains that Slyshadow Shatterstone withheld payment owed to the Stonemasons Brotherhood and hired the Bloodfang Gang to force them into submission. Her desire to protect her family leads her to accept faith in the God of Knowledge. 18 19
Rogue Path and Aptitude Testing
Using knowledge acquired from Noven, Rena helps prepare an aptitude-testing ritual in the tavern’s wine cellar. The test reveals her exceptional affinity with the God of Shadow and identifies the Stealth path as her best route to becoming a ranked professional. 21 24 25
She spends Knowledge Points to receive rogue cultivation instruction and rapidly masters [Stealth] through Noven’s visible progress system. 26 27 30
Black-Market Recruitment
Rena and Pete use [Stealth] and [True Name Knowledge] to slip personalized notes to potential recruits in Greenport’s black market. At Moni Brothers Tavern, Rena serves as the visible representative of their faith while Pete plays the role of a prospective recruit. 30 31 33
Their scheme gains four new followers for Noven, and Rena begins guiding converts such as Brandon through prayer and Knowledge Point exchanges. 33 34
Bloodfang Gang Event
When the Bloodfang Gang returns with supernatural strength, Rena reveals her rogue status to Moni and attempts to ambush their leader. Her Stealth technique succeeds in creating an opening, but her weak physical foundation leaves her unable to defeat the enhanced thug. 42 43 44
After the gang members are lured away, Rena explains the Knowledge Sect to her father, who becomes a follower. She later provides the group with crucial information about the limited-time event skills [Status Display] and [Evil Sense], as well as the gang’s connection to an evil god. 46 47
Trivia
- Rena earns daily Knowledge Points by cleaning the tavern; Pete could not earn points through the same task, suggesting rewards depend on a believer’s identity or role. 23
- Her talent assessment indicates she has better affinity with noncombat gods such as the God of Wine and the God of Art than with most combat-oriented paths, aside from the God of Shadow. 24
- Pete initially found Rena’s decisive use of a brick at odds with his first impression of her as a polite, gentle girl. 17
