Brandon was born and raised in Greenport to parents from the Rayak Kingdom. Since childhood, he had admired adventurers and dreamed of wielding a sword, traveling the continent, and making a name for himself. His family could not afford even basic training equipment, forcing him to search the Lower District black market for inexpensive weapons and delaying his hoped-for path into adventuring 31.

He worked as a bolt polisher at the goblin-funded Rolling Bolt Workshop. The workshop offered comparatively high wages but imposed harsh conditions: six workdays per week, long hours, no meals or lodging, and no compensation for workplace injuries. Brandon planned to keep working until he could become a Tier 1 warrior and save enough money to quit 35.

Recruitment into the Knowledge Sect
