Background / History

Vina first encounters Jiang Mu when she intervenes after he suppresses a group of nobles who had tried to force him to kneel. She initially enforces the prohibition on fighting without addressing the nobles’ aggression, and Jiang Mu wrongly assumes she is connected to them. Their exchange rapidly turns hostile; the Revenge List records her with 50% killing intent toward him. 103

After refusing to be used by the nobles as a weapon against Jiang Mu, Vina personally investigates the incident. She secures testimony from residents by promising protection from retaliation, confirms that the nobles instigated the confrontation, and later presents her findings to Jiang Mu. 104 105 Though angered by his accusation against her reputation, she accepts his repeated apology and agrees to take him to meet the Heaven Dou Emperor. 106

The Emperor recognizes Jiang Mu as a valuable talent and assigns him to Vina’s Class Three, intending for them to become familiar. Vina becomes his guide within the academy, explaining its training facilities and helping him navigate its social environment. 108 109 112

Her efforts to prevent a duel between Jiang Mu and Long Aotian create further tension. She openly states that Long Aotian cannot defeat Jiang Mu, then physically leads Jiang Mu away from the confrontation, causing classmates to speculate about their relationship. 111
