Background / History

Lynn transmigrated from the modern era into the One Piece world six months before the story. He was born as the sole surviving member of the Figarland Family, granting him Celestial Dragon status, enormous inherited wealth, and authority despite his family having little influence among the World Nobles. 1

The Figarland Family’s longstanding enemy is the Roswald Family. Lynn particularly despises Saint Charlos, who repeatedly flaunts slaves before him; Lynn had already beaten Charlos in the past. 1

After 181 days, Lynn awakened the Worlds Technology System, which allows him to unlock technologies by spending money and guarantees successful development once a technology is activated. His beginner package contained Admiral-level Droplet Technology, estimated to require 50 billion Beli to develop. 1

Lynn immediately redirected his family’s resources into research. He ordered CP agents to withdraw 100 billion Beli, acquire a deserted island, purchase materials, and requisition Marine personnel to construct a laboratory. 2

Conflict with the Roswald Family

After learning that the Roswald Family took the Figarland Family’s wealth and attempted to politically erase it, Lynn returns to Mary Geoise. He beats Charlos, defeats Jean Bart through the Droplet, and resists Kong’s attempt to intervene. 11 13 14
