Plotting out loud
The Purple Carapace Chapter achieved a resounding victory in their first battle, and when the news reached Terra, the Inquisition was in an uproar once again.
Where there are Xenos, there is Inquisition.
The Inquisition, which has always been intolerant of injustice, never imagined that one day it would have to swallow its pride and endure humiliation.
Heresy! Utter heresy!
This is blatant Alien Xenos.
To put it kindly, it's exploitation; to put it bluntly, it's collusion.
While I intellectually know this is good, ethically speaking, it is simply unacceptable.
The Inquisition headquarters then convened another joint meeting.
Terra, Inquisition Headquarters, Supreme Conference Room.
The three Lord Inquisitor sat at the end of the long table, with a battle report spread out in front of them, which had just been relayed by the Astropath.
A dozen or so Inquisitor were seated in the conference room.
Representatives from all factions were present, generally divided into three categories: radicals sat on the left, conservatives on the right, and centrists in the middle.
The air was filled with the smell of incense and paper, and an oppressive tension.
The Lord Inquisitor, seated in the middle, cleared his throat and began, "Gentlemen, have you all seen the battle reports displayed before you? News has come from Bolomite: the Purple Carapace Chapter has achieved its first victory."
The radicals clenched their fists tightly, speechless.
The conservatives, however, were quite pleased. "This is good news! Let's take a look at the battle report."
"Wow! The Purple Carapace Chapter has achieved a great victory in its first battle; the Greenskins Planet is wiped out."
"Wow! Zero casualties for the Imperial Navy!"
"Wow! Solving the global problem in less than half a day, such high efficiency!"
The radical slammed his fist on the table. "Efficiency?! Taking twelve Tyranids Mothership to fight the Greenskins, is that what you call efficiency?!"
"Otherwise?" The conservative tilted his head. "What do you want to see? The fleet crippled by the Greenskins? Heavy casualties? The Purple Carapace Chapter defecting?"
"..." The radicals couldn't utter a word and angrily looked away.
He really didn't want to see those things, but he also didn't want to see this.
That's outrageous.
"Think about it," the conservative coaxed, "If the Imperial Navy were to wipe out a planet overrun by Greenskins, how many people would die? How much ammunition would the fleet consume? How much of its budget would be wasted?"
"I suggest everyone be nicer to Bolomite; I've heard Lord Lin En doesn't like being treated badly."
"That's right, a meritorious official of the Imperium!!!"
One by one, the conservatives stood up, packed their documents, exchanged pleasantries, and left.
Their expressions were relaxed, and their tone was casual, as if they hadn't just been discussing anything earth-shattering, but were simply having a routine meeting.
They left without even glancing back at the radicals sitting behind them.
I'm too lazy to argue with these idiots. How can someone still not see the situation clearly at a time like this?
Lord Lin En's status is no longer that of an ordinary person. He is invincible both Imperium and outside the Imperium. The lowest enemy who can threaten him is a Primarchs.
Who do you think you are, babbling on and on?
Even if we don't stop you, what can you do? Rush to Bolomite and become food for the insects?
The radicals clenched their fists.
The meeting room was empty.
There was only an empty table in front of them, and only they remained on the table.
They stared at the battle report on the table for a long time.
Damn it, how can that person be so strong...?
*******
Terra, the Lord Regent's Office.
Guilliman also received a report from Lin En that the Tyranids were wiping out the Milky Way.
What kind of situation is this...?
He only dared to cooperate with the Aeldari secretly, but he never expected Lin En to lead the Tyranid Fleet openly and brazenly through the city.
That's incredibly audacious!
Guilliman sat amidst a pile of documents, rubbed his temples, and made a phone call to Lin En.
Connected.
Lin En's voice was light and cheerful. "What brings Your Highness Lord Regent, to call me?"
Guilliman placed the Dataslate on the table and stared at the battle report on it, "I see the Purple Carapace Chapter's battle report."
For some reason, Lin En found it particularly amusing to see Guilliman's expressionless face as he spoke of the Purple Carapace Chapter, and he laughed uproariously for a long time.
Guilliman was speechless. "Stop laughing."
"Hahaha, I'm sorry, Your Lord Regent -- hahahaha --"
"I said, stop laughing."
Hahahaha--
Guilliman placed the Dataslate face down on the table, pressed his forehead, and tried to ignore it.
Lin En laughed for a long time.
After laughing, he reported the battle situation, "The Purple Carapace Chapter has achieved remarkable results! Please, Lord Regent, commend them and also inform the entire Imperium to grant them passage."
The Purple Carapace Chapter needs to move within Imperium territory without permission, and they are subject to naval scrutiny every time they pass through a star system, which is very troublesome.
Guilliman frowned.
"Recognition is acceptable, publicizing it throughout the Imperium is also acceptable, opening up passage... Is it confirmed that the twelve Tyranids Mothership will be allowed free navigation in Imperium airspace?"
"The Purple Carapace Chapter has proven their loyalty. I will set up Dispatch Center in Bolomite, with all routes reported in advance and monitored by the Lamenters warships throughout."
"Approved. But please ensure, Lord Lin En, that the Tyranids do not spiral out of control. You will be fully responsible if anything goes wrong."
"No problem!" Lin En agreed immediately.
*******
The pass was issued quickly.
Iron Hammer shook open the parchment stamped with the Lord Regent's seal and stared in disbelief.
"Goddess, you thief! Has the Lord Regent gone mad?"
The communications officer, expressionless, said, "Chief Iron Hammer, this is a pass personally signed by the Lord Regent."
"I can read. Twelve Tyranids Mothership have free passage through Imperium airspace. If those things were to sail onto Terra, wouldn't the High Lords Council all hang themselves?"
Lin En nudged him. "I'll go tell the Lord Regent right away."
"No, no, no! I was just kidding! The Lord Regent is brilliant in both literature and military strategy, and even more so than the Emperor— "
"Emperor what?"
"The Emperor is... is still in good spirits!" Iron Hammer exclaimed quickly, "Even sitting on his throne, the Emperor is more energetic than him!"
Lin En pointed at him again. "I'm going to tell the Lord Regent that you said he's worse than a Cripple."
"How dare you! You actually dare to say that our great Emperor is Cripple!"
"Go ahead and sue! Sue him all the way to the Golden Throne!"
"You!!!"
Lin En laughed loudly, slammed the Tactical Star Map on the table, and unfolded it.
Holographic Projection of the Maelstrom Sector rose from the center of the star map, with countless stars marked in green, red, and gray.
Green represents the territory controlled by the Imperium.
Red indicates enemy-controlled territory.
Gray areas represent unexplored or war zones.
"Alright, I'm not going to argue with you anymore." Lin En pointed to the red area on the star map.
"The pass has arrived. The Purple Carapace Chapter can move out. I plan to push outwards from the Maelstrom, clearing them out circle by circle. Greenskins, Chaos, Drukhari —catch whatever you can and eliminate it. The Purple Carapace Chapter will lead the charge, followed by the Lamenters, Flesh Tearers and Blood Knights will take turns resting."
Iron Hammer leaned closer and glanced at the star map.
"With such a vast Imperium, how long do you plan to clear it out?"
"Clear for as long as it takes, until there are no more enemies left in the galaxy."
The Iron Hammer initiates the team fight and immediately follows up.
He then turned his gaze to the red area on the star map, stroking his chin.
"There are indeed many Greenskins planets near the Maelstrom, some occupied by Chaos, and many raiding routes of the Drukhari."
Lin En: "Full elbow."
Insect swarm disaster.
Regardless of cost.
It was directly submerged.
If the bugs die, just replace them; if you can't replace them, just catch them. Don't worry about it.
Anyway, the remnants of the Tyranids are all over the galaxy; we can capture a batch and use them.
