Ch. 151See You in the Octagon

After recovering, Lin En enjoyed the sunlight outside the infirmary and retrieved his communicator, which flooded him with messages from the Ultramarines. He began reading the brothers’ invitations and thanks, and replied to Castor that he had awakened.

  • Monks greeted Lin En warmly as he went outside, and Captain Kellers helped him sit beneath a tree.
  • Lin En asked Kellers to fetch the communicator from his Power Armor, and Kellers returned it from the ward.

  • Lin En read the Fourth Company captain’s invitation to a victory prayer ceremony and its detailed training plan.

Ch. 152Do You Not Have Your Own Priest?

While recovering in the Librarium Healing Ward, Lin En received eager invitations from Ultramarines company commanders hoping to recruit him, along with messages from the Techmarines about repairs to his gear. He promised Fabian that he would return to the Third Company, leaving Fabian furious over the other companies’ attempts to poach their Chaplain.

  • Lin En assured Fabian that the Third Company was his home and that he would return after recuperating.
  • Fabian angrily gripped the other commanders’ poaching messages and complained that the Blood Ravens had their own Chaplain.

Ch. 153Psychic Healing

Lin En received word that the Psychic Healing Ritual was ready and worried that psychic healing might expose the system in his mind. After using the Eye of True Sight to verify that the Librarius apprentice escorting him was free of Chaos Corruption, Lin En set out for the sanctuary, carried by Ultramarines because he could barely walk.

  • Lin En received a message from the Ultramarines Librarius Psychic Medical Division that Chief Librarian Tigurius had prepared the Psychic Healing Ritual.
  • A young Librarius apprentice arrived to escort Lin En, and Captain Kellers thoroughly checked his identification and confirmed his orders with Tigurius.
  • Lin En used the Eye of True Sight to inspect the apprentice and found his psychic presence clean and uncorrupted.
  • The apprentice told Lin En that Tigurius and several senior Librarians were waiting in the sanctuary for the ritual.
  • Lin En struggled to walk, so Captain Kellers had two Astartes carry him in a chair toward the sanctuary.

Ch. 154Boxed Up Early

Lin En was escorted to the Librarium’s Sanctuary for a Psychic Healing Ritual, where Chief Librarian Tigurius and the senior Librarians prepared to treat him. Reassured that the ritual would not expose his system, Lin En climbed into the open iron coffin and lay down for the procedure.

  • Captain Kellers escorted Lin En to the Sanctuary’s entrance, where the Ultramarines waited outside.
  • A Sanctuary guard and the little Librarian led Lin En through the candlelit passage to the inner door.
  • The senior Librarians and Chaplains, including Tigurius, welcomed Lin En and directed him to the ritual platform.
  • Lin En asked the system whether the Psychic Healing Ritual could reveal it, and the system reassured him that it could not be discovered so easily.
  • Lin En climbed into the padded, open iron coffin, folded his hands over his chest, and closed his eyes.

Ch. 155Astartes Carry the Coffin

Tigurius and four other Librarians healed Lin En’s psychic wounds and cleansed the Chaos traces left by Lord of Change’s attack. Lin En slept through the entire treatment, and the Astartes carried him back to his hospital room to recover.

  • Tigurius and the other Librarians used psychic power to repair Lin En’s damaged consciousness and cleanse the Chaos energy from his soul while the Chaplains recited scripture.
  • Lin En found the treatment soothing and fell asleep inside the iron coffin.
  • Tigurius discovered Lin En snoring and told the summoned Astartes that he was merely asleep.
  • Four Astartes carried Lin En through the Sanctuary to his hospital room, startling everyone they passed.
  • The Astartes tipped Lin En onto his bed, covered him with a blanket, and prayed for him.

Ch. 156The Flattering One-Two Punch

  • Fabian's warriors backed his refusal, and Lin En watched the First and Third Companies bicker together.

Ch. 159For the Glory of Humanity!

Calgar summoned Lin En and Fabian to settle Lin En’s postwar appointment, then appointed him Chapter Honor Advisor while keeping him based with the Third Company. • At a ceremony attended by all the Ultramarines and a large crowd, Calgar formally appointed Lin En Chapter Honor Advisor, awarded him an Iron Halo, and named him Guardian of Ultramar.
  • Lin En saluted and shouted, “For the glory of humanity!” as the Ultramarines answered with their battle cry.

Ch. 160Going After the Ultramarines' Lives

After Biel-Tan attacked Ultramar, Guilliman ordered the Ultramarines to destroy the Craftworld, which had launched its invasion because of a prophecy that the Chapter would eventually destroy it. Yvraine tried to confirm the Ultramarines were targeting only Biel-Tan, then chose not to warn the Craftworld as their fleet advanced.

  • Fabian showed Lin En an emergency notice reporting that the Aeldari had begun attacking Ultramar.
  • The chapter’s intelligence report revealed that Biel-Tan had ambushed an Ultramarines patrol and attacked an agricultural world, killing sailors and civilians.
  • Calgar learned that Biel-Tan had committed nearly its entire force to the invasion, and the Ultramarines deployed seven Companies toward the Craftworld.
  • Yvraine contacted Guilliman to ask whether the Ultramarines intended to fight all Aeldari, and Guilliman said they would fight only Biel-Tan.
  • The Macragge's Honour forced its way past Yvraine’s ship and headed for Biel-Tan, while Yvraine and her adjutant agreed not to warn the Craftworld.

Ch. 161All Forces Advance—Raze Everything!!!

Calgar led the Ultramarines fleet in a direct assault on Biel-Tan Craftworld, ordering Macragge's Honour to break through its defenses by ramming its shield. The Craftworld's shield shattered and its outer docks were destroyed as Calgar commanded the fleet to advance and raze everything.

  • The Ultramarines fleet arrived at Biel-Tan Craftworld and formed an attack formation opposite the Aeldari fleet.
  • Calgar ordered the Ultramarines to attack, and Macragge's Honour and the fleet opened fire, vaporizing several Aeldari warships.
  • The Aeldari warships evaded the incoming fire, while the Ultramarines' barrage drained Biel-Tan Craftworld's shield.
  • Calgar ordered Macragge's Honour to ram the Craftworld, and the battleship shattered its shield and smashed through the outer Wraithbone docks.
  • Calgar ordered the entire Ultramarines fleet to advance and raze everything.

Ch. 162Let's See What You've Got

The Ultramarines launched a coordinated assault on Biel-Tan Craftworld and its Webway holdings, aiming to destroy the engines and prevent the Aeldari from escaping. Invictus and his Terminator Squad destroyed the number one engine and withdrew as attacks on other engines and Webway nodes continued.

  • The Ultramarines began purging Biel-Tan's Webway nodes, outposts, and mining worlds without offering negotiations or surrender.
  • Invictus and the First Company Terminators landed inside an underground fortress on Biel-Tan Craftworld and fought their way toward its engine hall.
  • Invictus broke through the fortress's psychic barriers, charged the Farseer defending the engine hall, and punched through her chest with his Power Fist.
  • The Terminators cleared the engine hall, planted Melta Bombs on the number one engine's reactor, and withdrew before it exploded.
  • Invictus reported the engine destroyed and requested extraction, while explosions at other sites destroyed more Craftworld engines.
  • Ultramarines forces assaulted and destroyed Biel-Tan's Webway nodes around the Craftworld, leaving the Aeldari without an escape route.

Ch. 163Your Second Company Is So Brutal

  • Second Company's captain ordered his squad to concentrate fire on the Life Source Crystal, shattering it and extinguishing its psychic light.
  • The squad reported the Life Source destroyed, then turned back and planted Melta Bombs throughout the hall.
  • The Melta Bombs demolished the hall, and Biel-Tan Craftworld's water stopped flowing as its air began to thin.

Ch. 164Send Them to Slaanesh

The Ultramarines destroyed Biel-Tan’s food dome and launched Exterminatus against its three wraithbone-gathering stations, crippling the Craftworld’s ability to survive and repair itself. Calgar then assigned Lin En and First Company and Third Company to destroy Biel-Tan’s Spirit Stone Mine.

  • Eighth Company planted more than sixty Melta Bombs in Biel-Tan’s agricultural dome and destroyed it in a cascade of collapsing wraithbone.
  • Calgar reviewed reports showing that Biel-Tan’s engines, Webway, Life Source, and food stores had been destroyed.
  • The Ultramarines launched three Cyclonic Torpedoes at each of Biel-Tan’s three asteroid mining stations, killing the wraithbone artisans and leaving the Craftworld unable to repair itself.
  • Calgar ordered Lin En to destroy Biel-Tan’s Spirit Stone Mine with First Company and Third Company.
  • First Company and Third Company accepted their orders and departed.

Ch. 165The Rise of the Machine Again

Lin En and the Ultramarines launched an assault on Biel-Tan Craftworld’s Spirit Stone Cultivation Site, aiming to destroy it before moving on to the Infinity Circuit. The attack began with Lin En empowering the troops and awakening Machine Spirits, leaving the battle poised to turn into an overwhelming mechanized assault.

  • Lin En, Invictus, and Fabian planned to attack the Spirit Stone Cultivation Site first, then pursue the defenders toward the Infinity Circuit.
  • Invictus and Fabian agreed that First Company would pin down the defenders while Third Company planted Seismic Bombs in auxiliary passages.
  • Fabian ordered First and Third Company to prepare, and their Thunderhawk Gunships launched from Macragge's Honour toward Biel-Tan Craftworld.
  • The Thunderhawks landed near the mine entrance as Biel-Tan's Aspect Warriors opened fire from fortified positions.
  • Lin En activated Mass Healing Aura and Emperor's Gaze, then used Machine Spirit Resonance to awaken up to two hundred vehicles.
  • First and Third Company charged into the defenders' resistance as two hundred Sentinel Mechs rose from the Thunderhawks and prepared to open fire.

Ch. 166The Value of Abominable Intelligence Keeps Rising

Ultramarines used unmanned Sentinel Mechs and a Terminator shield wall to overwhelm Biel-Tan’s defenders, then destroyed the Craftworld’s Spirit Stone cultivation site with Seismic Bombs. The surviving Aspect Warriors retreated to defend Biel-Tan’s Infinity Circuit, the last foundation of their Craftworld.

  • Two hundred unmanned Sentinel Mechs advanced under Aeldari fire, absorbing heavy damage while their heavy bolters inflicted mounting casualties.
  • The First Company Terminators advanced behind linked Storm Shields, crushing the Aeldari fortifications as the Ultramarines pushed toward the mineral vein entrance.
  • Fabian’s Third Company deployed nearly a hundred Seismic Bombs, and Lin En learned they could reduce a mountain range to desert.
  • Invictus ordered the Ultramarines to withdraw, and the Aeldari commander spotted the abandoned bombs and shouted for his defenders to get down.
  • The Seismic Bombs shattered the mountain and collapsed the underground works, burying the defenders and destroying Biel-Tan’s Spirit Stone supply for centuries.
  • Biel-Tan’s surviving Aspect Warriors abandoned the ruined site and retreated to defend their Infinity Circuit.

Ch. 167Trapped Between Two Dead Ends

Valva led the battered survivors of the Spirit Stone Cultivation Site to the Infinity Circuit and reported its destruction to Morilion. His account of the Ultramarines and their godlike powers spread fear among Biel-Tan’s defenders, leaving Morilion to insist they could still be killed.

  • Valva and the surviving Aspect Warriors fled the destroyed Spirit Stone Cultivation Site, where the garrison, Bonesingers, and Spirit Stones had been lost.
  • Valva reached the Infinity Circuit’s keel with the survivors and was brought through the Psychic Barrier to Morilion.
  • Valva told Morilion that the Spirit Stone Cultivation Site had been destroyed and described the Ultramarines’ seemingly tireless machines and healing golden light.
  • Valva called the enemy warriors of a god, and his report frightened the defenders as Talahades stepped back in silence.
  • Morilion rejected the idea that the humans had a god and urged the defenders to treat their Living Saint as a human who could be killed.

Ch. 168The Ups and Downs and Downs and Downs of Aeldari Life

Biel-Tan’s defenders learned that Priest Lin En had kept the Ultramarines nearly untouched through the campaign, so they committed every available force to an assassination attempt. As the Ultramarines gathered to breach the Infinity Circuit, Lin En saw that the Aeldari had concentrated their remaining defenses at the Wraithbone Hall.

  • A scout confirmed to Morilion that the Ultramarines had suffered no deaths in the battles on Biel-Tan and that Lin En’s powers protected and supported them.
  • The Striking Scorpions leader asked to attack Lin En, and Morilion ordered every infiltration squad to strike while front-line units provided maximum fire support.
  • The Ultramarines prepared to assault the Infinity Circuit with the First, Second, and Third Companies while other forces secured the Craftworld and detained its civilians.
  • Lin En inspected the entrance to the Wraithbone Hall and saw that Biel-Tan had packed it with layered fortifications, Aspect Warriors, weapons, and Psychic Barriers.

Ch. 169He Wanted a Thorough Beating

Lin En led the Ultramarines’ assault on the Biel-Tan Aeldari defenses, using his healing aura, Emperor’s Gaze, and two hundred Sentinel Mechs to overwhelm their positions. As the Aeldari defenses collapsed, a Striking Scorpions Exarch ambushed Lin En, but his guards drove the attackers back and formed a shielded perimeter around him.

  • Lin En strengthened three hundred Ultramarines with Group Healing and Emperor’s Gaze, then directed two hundred Sentinel Mechs to charge the Aeldari defenses.
  • The Ultramarines advanced under the mechs’ overwhelming fire as the Terminators stripped away the fortifications and the Second Company stormed the exposed positions.
  • The Second Company captured the forward fortifications, while the Sentinel Mechs’ sustained barrage crushed the Aeldari defenders.
  • Lin En’s Danger Sense warned him of a close flank attack, and he dodged as a Striking Scorpions Exarch tried to strike him.
  • Lin En’s guards forced the Striking Scorpions to retreat, and the Sentinel Mechs and First Company Terminators formed a protective barrier around him.

Ch. 170666 Wasn't Even Trying to Hide It

The Assault Scorpion Bishop failed to reach Lin En through the layered defenses and detonated himself, creating a Warp Storm. The storm opened a rift that pulled Lin En and the Third Company Captain into the Warp, leaving the Ultramarines behind.

  • The Assault Scorpion Bishop charged the Terminators' shield wall as Sentinel Mechs fired on him.
  • The bishop's psychic core reached critical mass, and he detonated himself when he could not break through the defenses.
  • A Warp Storm formed and darted through the defenses toward Lin En, bypassing the Ultramarines who tried to stop it.
  • The Third Company Captain grabbed Lin En and locked their Power Armor together as a Warp Rift opened.
  • The rift pulled Lin En and the Third Company Captain into the Warp, then closed while the Ultramarines watched them vanish.

Ch. 171Ultramarines Were Humanity's Standard Answer

After Chaplain Lin En and Captain Fabian were pulled into a Warp Rift, Invictus and the Ultramarines slaughtered the Aeldari defenders on Biel-Tan. Calgar ordered a purge but allowed the Reaper Host two hours to evacuate civilians, and the Reaper Host arrived with ships to collect them.

  • Invictus ordered the Ultramarines to leave no Aeldari soldiers alive after Lin En and Fabian vanished into the Warp.
  • Invictus reported the incident to Calgar, who ordered the remaining Biel-Tan forces purged but granted the Reaper Host two hours to take the civilians.
  • Invictus ordered the Ultramarines to advance toward the Infinity Circuit and broadcast the two-hour civilian evacuation window before Exterminatus.
  • The Reaper Host arrived with an escort warship and two civilian transports from Iyanden to collect Biel-Tan's surviving civilians.

Ch. 172Their Wish Granted, to Their Delight

The Reaper Host evacuated innocent civilians from Biel-Tan while the Ultramarines destroyed its last defenders and Infinity Circuit. After Lin En vanished into the Warp, Calgar reported his disappearance to the Lord Regent.

  • The Reaper Host screened Biel-Tan's civilians and admitted those it deemed innocent, executing warriors and anyone who endangered its people.
  • Invictus led the First, Second, and Third Companies into the Wraithbone Hall and ordered the remaining defenders killed.
  • Invictus shattered the defenders' psychic shield, killed Morilion, and had the chief seer's head placed beside the warlord's.
  • The Ultramarines destroyed Biel-Tan's Infinity Circuit and every Spirit Stone within it, ending the Craftworld's Aeldari population.
  • Terminators guarded the place where Lin En and the others had vanished, while Calgar reported Lin En's disappearance into the Warp to the Lord Regent.

Ch. 173What's in the Warp?

Lin En and Fabian were stranded in the Warp, where the Four Chaos Gods could now see Lin En’s physical body despite his lack of a Warp projection. As lesser Daemons closed in and Lin En tried to reach Fabian, a powerful attacker struck from above.

  • Lin En realized he and Fabian had been transported into the Warp after the Assault Scorpion Bishop self-destructed, and he learned that his physical presence there made him visible to the Four Chaos Gods.
  • The system warned Lin En to escape the Warp immediately, while Fabian stabilized himself, raised his Bolter, and called for Lin En to get behind him.
  • A swarm of lesser Daemons gathered around Lin En and Fabian, and Lin En cast Purification, Gaze, and Enchanting on Fabian before swimming toward him.
  • The Daemons charged, and Fabian prepared to cover Lin En as they tried to close the distance between them.
  • Just as Lin En reached Fabian, Danger Sense warned him of a powerful attack from above, and he activated Mass Healing Aura and Thirty Days.

Ch. 174Chaos Space Marines

Lin En used Thirty Days to protect himself and the Third Company Captain in the Warp, then identified their attackers as Word Bearers. Dark Apostle Aekrion and his Enchanted Warriors surrounded them and prepared to attack.

  • Lin En stacked Mass Healing Aura and Thirty Days, letting the Third Company Captain pull him clear of a force-blade attack.
  • A black dome formed around them, shutting out the Warp and revealing the human voice and figures behind the attack.
  • Lin En used Eye of True Sight and learned from the system that the dome was a Soul Altar that also blocked the Chaos Gods' perception.
  • Lin En recognized the corrupted warriors as Word Bearers and identified them as Enchanted Warriors led by a Dark Apostle.
  • Dark Apostle Aekrion declared himself and the Word Bearers' intent to kill the Ultramarines, while his warriors surrounded Lin En and the Third Company Captain.

Ch. 175The Damn Heretics!!!!!!

The Third Company Captain fought Aekrion’s demon-possessed Word Bearers while Lin En supported him with healing and buffs. Lin En’s attempts to purify or weaken the possessed warriors failed, leaving the two sides locked in a stalemate as he continued keeping the captain alive.

  • The Third Company Captain shot Aekrion twice with Holy Light-empowered Bolter rounds, interrupting his speeches and burning a hole through his hood.
  • Aekrion empowered the Enchanted Warriors with black gas, and they charged the captain as he fought them with his Holy Light Great Chainsword.
  • Lin En maintained Thirty Days and other support effects from behind the captain, estimating that they could endure the stalemate for a long time in the Warp.
  • Lin En tried Purification on the Enchanted Warriors, but the system explained that their demons were willing symbiotic partners rather than Chaos corruption.
  • Lin En tried using the Emperor’s Gaze to weaken the warriors, but the system said it could not affect the demons possessing them.
