Background and History

Blue Silver traveled among humans while seeking a way to advance beyond the limits of a Soul Beast. In a border town near Star Dou Great Forest, she distributed food to the poor and healed injured neighbors. Yue Guan and Gui Mei found her there while searching on Qian Xunji’s orders 22 23.

Qian Xunji invited her to Spirit Hall rather than taking her Soul Ring or Soul Bone. He showed her the Angel Codex, which describes a cultivation path for Soul Beasts in human form, and told her that Lin Fan knew her possible fate. She initially declined, then went to Spirit City to hear Lin Fan’s account for herself 24 25.

Lin Fan described a future in which she meets Tang Hao, bears Tang San, and sacrifices herself to save them during Spirit Hall’s pursuit. He also told her that the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well could greatly accelerate her cultivation. After hearing him, Blue Silver agreed to stay at Spirit Hall in an effort to change her fate 26 27 28. She was introduced to its elders and chose to remain with Lin Fan while Bibi Dong’s party searched for the Well 30.

During Bibi Dong’s absence, Blue Silver continued caring for Lin Fan. After he collapsed, Qian Xunji assured her that he had suffered mental power damage but was not in danger. When Lin Fan woke after two days, he described seeing colored lines before losing consciousness. Blue Silver relayed this information to Qian Xunji, who suspected an unstable Mental Power ability 40 41.

Although Spirit Hall’s elders had been ordered not to harm her, Blue Silver remained afraid that another Soul Master might kill her for her Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring and Soul Bone. She wanted to cultivate at the newly discovered Well and reach maturity as quickly as possible. Bibi Dong promised to persuade Qian Xunji to let her go 43. Before her departure, Qian Xunji introduced her to Qian Daoliu, whose orders had also helped restrain the worshippers from attacking her 44.

Qian Xunji approved her request and assigned Bing Luoli, the Ice Douluo, to escort her and fifty gifted Academy students to the Well. When Bibi Dong called her aside while discussing the Pope’s forthcoming marriage, Blue Silver briefly feared she was being forced to marry him. Bibi Dong clarified that the bride was a fire-attribute Soul Douluo from Spirit Hall and that Blue Silver was instead being told about her cultivation trip 50.

While still at Spirit Hall, Blue Silver overheard Lin Fan explaining Tang San’s unsuitable first Soul Ring. She angrily questioned why Tang Hao had allowed his son’s Blue Silver Grass to be developed poorly despite secretly watching over him. Lin Fan’s account further damaged her opinion of Tang Hao’s supposed love for the Blue Silver Emperor 54.

Blue Silver subsequently departed through Spirit City’s North Gate with Bing Luoli and the fifty students. Bibi Dong instructed the group to conceal Spirit Hall’s involvement by claiming to be an academy expedition obtaining Soul Rings. Bing Luoli’s blunt assurance that she neither needed Blue Silver’s Soul Ring nor had a use for her Soul Bone helped ease Blue Silver’s concerns about the escort 57.

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Bing Luoli assigned cultivation positions and warned the students about the poisonous plants. Blue Silver began cultivating cross-legged on a massive stone platform, finding the spiritual energy more abundant than anywhere she had experienced since taking human form. She is also direct about her safety and ambitions. She asks Qian Xunji to make her status known to Spirit Hall’s elders and states plainly that she needs the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to grow stronger 28 30.

Learning her predicted future leaves her troubled, particularly by questions about Tang Hao’s choices and Tang San’s later conduct. Rather than accept that account as inevitable, she resolves to follow her own path 26 32 33.

Her gentle disposition does not prevent her from defending her dignity or her lineage. She objects firmly when Bibi Dong mistakenly suggests that she has accepted Qian Xunji’s pursuit, and later angrily condemns Tang Hao for allowing Tang San’s inherited Blue Silver Grass to be neglected 29 54.

She remains cautious even under powerful protection, recognizing that Spirit Hall is too large for every member to know or obey the arrangements surrounding her.
