Background and History

Tang San awakens in his six-year-old body in Holy Soul Village, remembering a previous life in which he became a God King. He hopes to change events involving his parents, Xiao Wu, the Clear Sky Sect, and Spirit Hall. The arrival of Ye Lin—a fellow villager absent from Tang San’s memories—is an early sign that events may not repeat themselves 1.

At Nuoding Academy, Yu Xiaogang hears Tang San’s contemptuous thoughts and rejects him as a disciple, choosing Ye Lin instead. Tang San later rejects Yu Xiaogang’s proposed control path for Blue Silver Grass. He chooses to develop it for healing and support, intending to rely on his second Martial Soul for offense 2 3 6 7.

At Shrek Academy, Tang San repeatedly expects people and events to follow his previous life. Those expectations fail as Yu Xiaogang arrives earlier than he remembers, his classmates respond differently, and Ye Lin receives opportunities Tang San had counted on claiming 23 29 41.

Personality

Tang San presents himself as courteous and cooperative, but his unspoken thoughts frequently express contempt, jealousy, and plans for revenge. He tends to judge classmates by their future usefulness; Oscar, for example, hears Tang San privately call him a “tool” 1 2 20 48.

He trusts his past-life knowledge even when the present contradicts it. His thoughts can be heard by others, though he often does not realize it. This exposes his intentions and steadily damages his relationships with teachers and classmates 3 23 33 59.

• Star Dou Forest — Tang San plans to claim the Eight Spider Lances while pretending to search for Xiao Wu. Flender stops him, and Yu Xiaogang later gives the External Soul Bone to Ye Lin 29 35 36 44.
