Illusion and the Sharingan

Genjutsu alters a target’s sensory experience. The Sharingan greatly amplifies an Uchiha user’s aptitude for it 3.

  • Liuyun concealed a Genjutsu during his first exchange with Minato Namikaze, then used Minato’s immobilization to place a kunai against his neck 8.
  • In their later match, Liuyun caught Minato’s gaze for an instant and defeated him almost immediately. He warned Minato not to look into his eyes in a future fight 18 19.
  • Against two Sand Jonin, Liuyun used his Three-Tomoe Sharingan to stop their movements before cutting them down 36.

Tsukuyomi

Liuyun’s Mangekyō technique constructs an illusionary world in which he can torment targets. It can affect no more than five people at once 17.
