Background / History
Minato held the top position at the Ninja Academy for years despite competing with children from Konoha’s major clans. During an Academy spar, he faced Uchiha Liuyun, who surprised him with strong taijutsu and Ice Release. Liuyun ultimately won with a Genjutsu planted during their first exchange. Minato accepted the loss and resolved to win their next fight 7 8.
After a year of training under Jiraiya, Minato challenged Liuyun again at the graduation assessment. Liuyun caught his gaze and trapped him in Genjutsu almost immediately. Minato could not identify when it had been cast, but renewed his promise to surpass Liuyun 18 19.
