Imperial upbringing and escape

Dai Mubai is a son of Dai Tianfeng and Zhu Tiancai, born into the Star Luo Empire’s hereditary White Tiger family. The Dai and Zhu families have intermarried for generations because their martial souls can produce the Hell White Tiger fusion skill 94.

His elder brother Dai Weisi initially introduced him to mischief and pleasure-seeking. Their relationship became lethal as the succession struggle developed: at about seven, Dai Mubai nearly died after his maid gave him medicinal soup. He subsequently understood that Dai Weisi wanted him dead 134.

At nine, Dai Mubai was rank nineteen while the fifteen-year-old Dai Weisi was already rank thirty-six. With almost no political support, he decided to seek help from his Fourth Imperial Uncle, Dai Tianyue, and flee the empire 134.

His escape proceeded with his parents’ secret permission. Black Tower escorted him, while five other Soul Emperors accompanied similarly built boys along separate routes to confuse pursuit 143 201.

Injury and attempted recovery

After his flight, Dai Mubai approached Bibi Dong’s group and fought Bing Lianxue. Despite having two rings against her one, he was overpowered and found his White Tiger suppressed by her Ice Jade Emperor Scorpion 144 145.

A lasting injury attributed to Qian Chongling left Dai Mubai sexually incapacitated and caused changes to his body and voice. Healing Soul Masters failed to cure him, and he turned to cultivation in hopes of recovering 221 226.

Flender and Yu Xiaogang proposed obtaining a transformation skill resembling a weaker Martial Soul Avatar. White Tiger Vajra Transformation temporarily improved his condition, but its effects disappeared when the skill ended. Dai Mubai is arrogant, pleasure-seeking, and acutely concerned with status. While escaping the empire, he privately resents Black Tower’s refusal to obey him and imagines that becoming crown prince would force such subordinates to show greater deference 143.

His confidence depends heavily on his opponent. He bullies weaker people but becomes hesitant against comparable or superior strength. During his fight with Bing Lianxue, fear of public humiliation keeps him from withdrawing even after he realizes he is outmatched 145 415.

He can nevertheless work persistently toward a personal goal. His desire to recover from his injury drives prolonged cultivation and experimentation, producing a self-created technique powerful enough to surprise Qian Chongling 221 226.

His loyalty to Tang San mixes companionship with dependence and political ambition. He grows accustomed to following Tang San’s battle commands and offers him high office in a future Star Luo government. Later, he openly envies Tang San’s talent, background, relationships, and divine favor 323 417 493 573.

After the Rakshasa trials, his contempt for commoners becomes explicitly murderous. He kills a man while rejecting the idea that ordinary people deserve land, then resolves to become emperor so he can reverse the policies he dislikes 559.

Shrek Academy and the Soul Master Tournament

At fifteen, Dai Mubai defeats Tang San during their hotel confrontation and identifies himself as a Shrek senior. Zhu Zhuqing then confronts him, defeats him despite her lower cultivation, and condemns his pursuit of pleasure 223 224.

Although nominally captain, Dai Mubai relies on Tang San to direct team battles. His participation includes both successful coordinated attacks and repeated defeats by stronger opponents 264 311 323.

Failed Succession Claim

Dai Mubai returns to court expecting his team’s victory over Dai Weisi to secure the crown prince position. Instead, most officials support Dai Weisi 476.

Dai Tianfeng explains that the emperor must possess the Hell White Tiger fusion skill and that the empress must be a Zhu-family Hell Spirit Cat wielder. Dai Mubai meets neither condition. Dai Weisi is named crown prince, while Dai Mubai is sent to Moon Wheel City to cultivate 476.

With Dai Tianyue’s help, Dai Mubai later leaves Moon Wheel City and reunites with his former companions. He accompanies Tang San to Gengxin City to obtain blacksmiths and materials for mass-producing Zhuge Repeating Crossbows, only to discover that the association’s senior craftsmen have already relocated to Spirit City 492 493.

Rakshasa Trials and Fratricide

After traveling toward Sea God Island, Dai Mubai joins Tang San and Ma Hongjun on Dawn Island to seek the Rakshasa inheritance. Blood Fiend subjects them to disturbing games before they enter the inheritance process 520 541.

His martial soul evolves, his soul power reaches sixty, and he receives top-level eight trials. His trial assessment reaches the middle of the eighth notch, slightly above Ma Hongjun’s result 543.

Following further advancement, he agrees to help Tang San weaken the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan by poisoning its river and to hold off Soul Saint opponents during the attack 569.

As a Soul Saint, Dai Mubai rejects the need for Tang San’s help against Dai Weisi. He ambushes his brother at Maple Leaf Valley, reveals his Evil Soul Master powers, kills him, and declares himself the rightful heir. God of War Depiction and Conflict with Tang San
