After saving Mondstadt by purifying the disaster’s filth, Ellin fell into a deep, unconscious sleep from which Venti could not predict when she would awaken. Her friends and parents kept vigil as Venti explained that recovering the immense energy she had spent might take anywhere from months to centuries.

• Ellin collapsed from exhaustion after ending the disaster, and Venti caught her.
• Half a month later, Jean asked Venti why Ellin had not awakened, while friends from Mondstadt and Liyue and Ellin’s parents gathered at her bedside.

On the seventieth day after Mondstadt’s disaster, Ellin’s friends gathered around her while she remained asleep, and her familiar Feng’er contacted them with a plan to awaken her. Feng’er asked Venti, Zhongli, and Ei to channel elemental energy into Ellin, and they began the attempt at Windrise Foothills.

• Mondstadt struggled to rebuild after the disaster, with aid from Liyue and Inazuma while Ellin remained asleep.
• On the seventieth day, Ellin’s friends and parents gathered at her bedside, still unable to find a way to wake her.
• Feng’er introduced herself as Ellin’s familiar and explained that Ellin would sleep for at least seven hundred years unless they helped her recover.
• Feng’er told the group that Venti, Zhongli, and Ei needed to guide elemental energy into Ellin, assuring them that her demon god core could withstand it.

After the disaster, Ellin blamed herself for the suffering and deaths she had been unable to prevent, and she spent six days isolated on Mondstadt’s Cathedral bell tower. Fischl, Noelle, and Sucrose resolved to help her, but Ellin left Mondstadt before they could reach her.

Seeking strength to protect them, she asked Ei to teach her to wield the power of wishes, but her troubled heart prevented her from sensing it, and she wandered Narukami Island until someone recognized her.

• Ailin woke in his room, saw Ganyu complete the training-dummy commission, and mourned what he believed were lost memories and friends.
• Ellin awoke on Mt. Yougou and realized her recurring dream reflected her fear of losing her friends to future disasters.
• Ellin went to Tenshukaku and sparred with the Shogun, who sensed that her turmoil had dulled her sword.

• Feng'er told Ellin her current strength could not protect her loved ones and explained that she could absorb Hydro, Pyro, and Dendro energy from the ley lines to form new demon god cores.
• Feng'er said the ley lines also held records that could answer Ellin's questions, then vanished after promising to tell her everything when she returned.
• Ellin told her friends she was leaving briefly, changed out of her adeptal-energy-laden outfit, and entered Mondstadt's ley lines.

Ellin entered the Ley Lines to absorb Elemental Energy and search for answers while Liyue prepared for Beisht’s attack. When Beisht emerged after the rebuilt Jade Chamber rose, Liyue’s forces unleashed a massive barrage of cannons against her.

• Ellin jumped into the elemental torrent and began absorbing Elemental Energy, intending to travel through the Ley Lines to their endpoint.
• Over two months, Beidou reported strange changes at sea, and Ningguang closed Liyue Harbor while Liyue prepared its defenses.
• Ningguang launched the rebuilt Jade Chamber to lure Beisht out of hiding, and Beisht appeared in the sea outside Liyue Harbor.
• The Adepti watched from afar as Liyue tested its ability to defend itself without their help.
• At Keqing’s command, Liyue’s warships and more than a thousand heavy cannons fired on Beisht.

Ningguang and Liyue’s forces used cannons and explosives to wound Beisht and stop a massive wave from reaching Liyue Harbor. They discovered Beisht was buying time for Osial, whose summoned sea creatures began attacking the Geo Sword sealing him beneath Guyun Stone Forest.

• Ningguang directed the Jade Chamber to drop an explosive Jumpy Dumpty into Beisht’s wave, and the blast shattered it before the fleet and harbor defenses fired on Beisht.
• Ningguang, Keqing, Beidou, and the adepti realized that Beisht remained despite her grave injuries because she was protecting Osial or buying him time.
• Beisht shrieked, changing the seawater’s flow and summoning countless sea beasts, fish, and shrimp to surge toward Guyun Stone Forest.
• Ningguang recognized that Osial had secretly gathered the sea creatures to help him break free as the old seal weakened.
• Hundreds of millions of sea creatures rammed the Geo Sword pinning Osial beneath the sea.

Billions of sea creatures battered the Geo Sword and mountains holding Osial, loosening his Seal and forcing Liyue to prepare for disaster. Zhongli revealed that he had allowed events to unfold because he hoped the crisis would give Ellin the chance to become Liyue’s new god.

• Billions of fish, shrimp, and sea beasts sacrificed themselves against the Geo Sword and mountains while Beisht joined their assault, and Osial struggled to break free.
• Keqing ordered the Millelith to abandon Guyun Stone Forest and led them to safety as earthquakes and collapsing mountains shook the area.
• Ningguang, the Immortals, Keqing, and Beidou organized Liyue’s evacuation and prepared for battle as civilians fled and troops and artillery gathered.
• Azhdaha asked Zhongli whether he had foreseen the crisis and would intervene, and Zhongli said Morax would not return unless there was no other choice.

Osial broke free of his seal and prepared to destroy Liyue Harbor, leaving Ningguang, Keqing, and the others facing a battle for Liyue’s survival. Keqing committed Liyue’s secret stockpile of rapid-fire rocket launchers to the coming fight.

• Zhongli considered the danger of killing Osial, whose Archon Residue could poison Liyue’s waters for generations, and wondered what choice Ellin would make.
• Fish and shrimp sacrificed themselves to destroy the mountains and Geo Swords sealing Osial beneath Guyun Stone Forest.
• Osial emerged in his enormous whale-like form, furious after thousands of years of confinement and intent on destroying Liyue Harbor.
• Ningguang prepared to sacrifice another Jade Chamber, while Keqing and the Millelith readied themselves at the docks.
• Keqing revealed more than three hundred Rapid-Fire Anti-Aircraft Rocket Launchers, and Liyue committed its reserves to the battle.

As Osial unleashed a massive wave toward Liyue Harbor, Shenhe chose to face it to protect the children at the Academy and the people Ellin loved. She untied her red cords as she advanced toward the wave.

• Keqing ordered the Millelith to bombard Osial with cannon and rocket fire, but the attacks only enraged him.
• Osial raised a three-hundred-meter wave that threatened to destroy Liyue Harbor and everyone fleeing there.
• Liu Qingyi led the Academy children to safety while Shenhe carried several children and comforted them.
• Shenhe set the children down and told them to go with Liu Qingyi before heading toward the wave.
• Remembering Ellin's love for Liyue and its people, Shenhe decided to protect what Ellin treasured and untied her red cords as she walked toward Osial.

Shenhe reflected on how Ellin and her friends had given her a home and a reason to cherish the world, then charged toward Osial’s towering wave to protect Liyue Harbor. She froze the wave and saved the city, but collapsed from exhaustion as falling ice threatened to crush her.

• Shenhe remembered the friendships and happy experiences that had made her feel she belonged in the world.
• As Osial raised a colossal wave over Liyue, Shenhe walked against the fleeing crowd, determined to protect the city and what Ellin cherished.
• Shenhe removed her Red Ropes and unleashed her full power, crossing the sea on ice to confront the wave.
• Shenhe hurled a Frost Talisman at the wave and froze it into a vast wall of ice, which shattered and spared Liyue Harbor.
• Shenhe collapsed unconscious on the ice, directly in the path of enormous chunks falling from the breaking wave.

Shenhe froze Osial’s enormous wave to protect Liyue Harbor, and Zhongli rescued her as the adepti joined the battle against Osial. Deep in the Ley Lines, Ellin awakened with a powerful new aura and reached the place where all the Ley Lines converged.

• Shenhe froze Osial’s wave but collapsed, and Zhongli carried her to safety in Liyue Harbor.
• Zhongli and Azhdaha discussed Shenhe’s potential to become a god and expected Ellin to return from the Ley Lines.
• Cloud Retainer, Mountain Shaper, Moon Carver, Madame Ping, and Xiao attacked Osial, who struck back and sent several of them flying.
• Moon Carver restrained Osial’s tail while Ganyu froze the sea, letting Madame Ping and Ganyu land heavy blows on him.
