A Mount & Blade Simulator in Middle-earth

This is an interlude that should never have taken place in the waning years of the Third Age. At this time, the treacherous Dark Lord Sauron is regaining his strength and building his forces in Dol Guldur; the great burglar, Mr. Bilbo Baggins, is enjoying the good life at Bag End, with six or seven meals a day; the woeful "King under the Mountain," Thorin Oakenshield, is leading his people in search of a better life in the Blue Mountains; Thranduil, king of the Woodland Elves, wears a crown of seasonal flowers and grows ever more reluctant to leave home; and the wise wizard Gandalf the Grey has sensed the danger threatening Middle-earth and the resurgence of dark powers. He travels far and wide to warn others, and soon his "protection" will descend upon Durin's Folk. Meanwhile, our protagonist's own story begins with a shooting star.
