Healer of the Star Dou Great Forest

Bi Ji spent tens of thousands of years treating the Soul Beasts of the Star Dou Great Forest. Her medical service earned such widespread trust that, in some respects, her prestige surpassed Di Tian’s: intelligent Soul Beasts might not recognize him, but very few did not know her. She and the Emerald Swan Clan repeatedly sustained a Thunderclap Hell Vine that otherwise would have died long before reaching its eventual cultivation 79.

When the Three-Eyed Golden Lion identified Ye Qing as a Fate-defying Person capable of changing her predetermined future, Bi Ji opposed killing him rashly. She urged the Ferocious Beasts to establish contact, while warning that allowing another powerful human to ascend without securing his friendship could worsen the Soul Beast Clan’s position 72.

Mission to Accompany Ye Qing

Gu Yuena selected Bi Ji to approach Ye Qing, remain beside him, and ideally become his partner. The purpose was to influence his attitude toward Soul Beasts before he became a god. Although Gu Yuena’s instruction allowed her to try only if she found the arrangement acceptable, Bi Ji treated the task as a commitment because she believed it could benefit the Star Dou Great Forest 73 74 78.

Bi Ji first approached Ye Qing by healing the strain caused by his flight. After reassuring him that she meant no harm, she negotiated an agreement: the forest would provide three Soul Rings no older than 110,000 years in exchange for his help changing the future foreseen by the Auspicious Beast 75 76 77.

His first selection was a Thunderclap Hell Vine initially believed to be around 50,000 years old, but subsequently confirmed to have reached 60,000 years. Bi Ji calmed its unstable power, persuaded it to consider sacrifice, and guided the process that gave Ye Qing his fourth Soul Ring 78 79 80.

Rather than remaining in the forest, she accompanied him as his guardian and contact with its rulers, residing inside the Silver Dragon Reverse Scale. When Ye Qing questioned her purpose, she openly acknowledged that her mission included becoming his partner. He accepted their cooperation and promised to help the Soul Beast Clan if he attained godhood 81 82.

From Assigned Partner to Genuine Affection

Bi Ji helped Ye Qing train his resistance to attraction by projecting a strand of her Spiritual Origin into his Sea of Consciousness while he cultivated. Their conversations about human society and life in the forest brought them closer 87 88.

Her attachment became unmistakable after Xu Jiujiu kissed him. Bi Ji crushed a teacup in jealousy and later complained that, despite accompanying him longer, she had never received a kiss. She refused his attempted kiss while Xu Jiujiu’s lipstick remained on his mouth 97 98.

During their journey to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Bi Ji was distressed by the sight of mountains of Soul Beast bones. Ye Qing promised to help her people where his strength allowed. Recognizing his sincerity and willingness to consider Soul Beasts as more than cultivation resources, she accepted him wholeheartedly and initiated a kiss 101.

Supporting Ye Qing’s Cultivation

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Bi Ji protected Ye Qing and later identified a weakness in his attempt to disguise his cultivation: powerful experts could still sense the threat he posed. Her advice to strengthen and restrain his spiritual power helped him complete a disguise that even she could no longer penetrate 100 102 108.

She subsequently helped him stage the Bloodshadow Ghost Fox encounter that convinced Zhang Lexuan he had risked his life for her. Bi Ji made the beast cooperate and helped maintain the apparent Soul Ring absorption afterward, though she worried that the plan might lead to the beast’s actual death 115 117.

Her presence also helped win the trust of other Soul Beast rulers. She explained Ye Qing’s alliance with Star Dou to the Snow Empress, concealed the fluctuations of her sacrifice, and later reassured the Ice Empress through her association with him. She also assisted with the Six-Winged Demon Tiger’s sacrifice and participated in discussions about his planned Yin-Yang Soul Core 125 128 131 132 146.

Return to Star Dou and Later Service

Upon returning to the Star Dou Great Forest, Bi Ji chose to visit the Lake of Life before her own clan’s territory so she could report to Gu Yuena. Her aura allowed Ye Qing to travel through the forest without being attacked 217.

She later supplied the location of the Golden Hawksbill Turtle that had stolen the forest’s Gold of Life. During the confrontation with Xiao Bai, her enhancements raised Ye Qing’s raw attributes to match his opponent’s. Afterward, she helped move the Demon Soul Great White Shark corpses and guarded him during his absorption of Xiao Bai’s Soul Ring and Soul Bone 220 225 228.

After Ye Qing became a god, Gu Yuena entered the Silver Dragon Reverse Scale with Bi Ji. Bi Ji later accompanied them into Gu Yuena’s private space and assisted during the month in which Ye Qing treated the Silver Dragon King’s injuries 285 309.

Ascension

When Ye Qing shattered the rule preventing Soul Beasts from becoming gods, Bi Ji was the first beside him to respond. Her cultivation already qualified her for ascension, while her long history of healing had earned the Faith Power of numerous Soul Beasts. With Ye Qing directing that faith into a Divine Authority crystal, she began creating the God of Healing position 320.

She later emerged from seclusion as a Second-Level God, having also transformed her Emerald Swan bloodline into that of a Jade Phoenix 335.

Appearance

• Human form: A beautiful, fair-skinned woman with clear emerald eyes and a curvaceous figure 74 93.
• Wings: Can manifest a pair of wings beneath her ribs; they appear emerald-green when she returns to Star Dou 217.
• Concealed traits: With her wings tucked away, she can pass as an ordinary human woman 110.

Personality

Bi Ji is gentle and compassionate, extending her concern to the forest’s living creatures rather than only its rulers. Even an individual Soul Beast’s death can leave her heartbroken. Her support for Ye Qing’s hunting party includes driving away unrelated beasts so they will not die needlessly 101 114.

Her kindness does not make her politically naïve. Before meeting Ye Qing, she recognizes both the danger of antagonizing a future god and the uncertainty of trusting a human. Once cooperation is established, she favors honesty, openly explaining the Soul Beast Clan’s hopes and her own assignment 72 82.

She is deeply dutiful toward Gu Yuena and willing to accept personal hardship for the clan’s future. Nevertheless, her relationship with Ye Qing develops beyond obedience: she becomes curious about his world, enjoys his praise, and grows openly jealous when another woman receives his affection 74 78 87 88 97 98.

Despite her age and power, Bi Ji initially has little romantic experience and readily blushes at intimate subjects. She also wants to survive and attain eternal life, viewing Ye Qing’s potential ascension as a possible future for herself as well as her people 87 94.
