Childhood and Shrek Academy

Huo Yuhao grew up in the White Tiger Duke’s Mansion as the neglected son of Dai Hao and the maid Huo Yun’er. Mother and son endured contempt, bullying, and humiliation. He witnessed his mother’s death, while Dai Hao remained unaware of their suffering. Avenging her became his central ambition 110 244.

At Shrek Academy, Huo Yuhao used Spiritual Detection Sharing to lead his teammates to victory in the freshman assessment, yet initially failed to receive core disciple status. The academy’s later enthusiasm for his Ultimate Ice Martial Soul convinced him that its recognition depended on what he could offer 110.

Lu Ren’s exposure of Wang Dong’er’s disguise prevented her from sharing a dormitory with Huo Yuhao. Although they attended the same year, they had almost no contact, leaving him without the close relationship that might otherwise have helped restrain his increasingly destructive emotions 5 110.

Lost Opportunity in the Far North

The Sky Dream Ice Silkworm brought Huo Yuhao to the Far North to obtain the Ice Empress as his second Martial Soul and Soul Ring. Lu Ren intervened, immobilizing both of them, and the Ice Empress ultimately chose Lu Ren’s equal contract instead 100 101 103.

After awakening, Huo Yuhao refused to treat the outcome as theft. He acknowledged that the Ice Empress had never belonged to them and that Lu Ren had offered better terms. Rather than seeking retaliation, he resolved to become strong enough to see the world from Lu Ren’s height 103.

The expedition still yielded Simulation and an ordinary Ice Jade Scorpion second Martial Soul. Its Ultimate Ice attribute transformed his standing at Shrek: Xuan Zi and Yan Shaozhe became willing to grant him Martial Soul Department core disciple status and invest heavily in his development 110.

Revenge and Separation from Shrek

Meeting Dai Hao nearly caused Huo Yuhao to lose control. His hatred intensified when Dai Yueheng publicly described Dai Hao as a disciplined husband with only one wife and two sons. Huo Yuhao nevertheless concealed his background from Xuan Zi, whom he did not trust to support revenge against the White Tiger Duke 110.

During the expedition against the Death’s Hand Bandit Group, his support position and an ice barrier spared him from the worst of the Corpse Explosion. He was subsequently seized by the enemy’s smoke-like form and dragged into an underground opening 110 111.

Du Busi later took Huo Yuhao away, identifying Spirit Eyes as an eye-type Body Martial Soul and declaring that he belonged to the Body Sect by birth. Lu Ren did not interfere 131 133.

Body Sect and Spirit Pagoda

Huo Yuhao fought alongside Body Sect forces against the Sun Moon Empire. His predictive abilities and tactical judgment repeatedly reversed desperate situations, while battlefield experience accelerated his cultivation. After witnessing a battle between the strongest combatants in the Sun Moon Empire, he devoted himself to secluded cultivation and eventually reached Soul Saint 243.

Du Busi personally recommended him to the Spirit Pagoda. His ability and composure won Nana’s appreciation, and he received a private laboratory and unrestricted access to confidential Soul Spirit System documents. Despite this trust, he continued to struggle with memories of the Shrek companions Lu Ren had killed 243.

Destruction of the White Tiger Duke’s Mansion

After becoming a Titled Douluo, Huo Yuhao requested extended leave and returned alone to the White Tiger Duke’s Mansion. He killed its inhabitants, displayed the Duchess’s corpse above the doorway, and burned the residence with a self-made Level 8 fire-attribute Soul Tool 244 245.

He revealed his identity to Dai Hao and recounted Huo Yun’er’s suffering. Rather than kill his father, he left him alive to endure regret, judging that death would neither restore his mother nor undo their childhood misery 244.

Defense of the Star Luo Empire

Despite his revenge against its most prominent military household, Huo Yuhao joined the Star Luo Empire’s defense. He still considered himself a person of that country. His personal strength, detection support, and raids slowed the Sun Moon Empire’s offensive and helped stabilize the front 244 245.

He repeatedly sought assistance from the Body Sect and helped establish contact between the Spirit Pagoda and the Star Dou Great Forest’s Soul Beasts. His advocacy for voluntary Soul Spirit cooperation drew Di Tian’s interest 245.

After reaching Limit Douluo, Huo Yuhao obtained several powerful Soul Spirits, including Xiao Bai, Liya, and the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass. He ultimately spent five years holding back the Sun Moon Empire’s advance against Star Luo City 247 249.

Defeat, Bargain, and Ascension

Huo Yuhao challenged Lu Ren at Star Luo City using his full spiritual strength, the Morning Dew Blade, and a divine blade technique. Lu Ren’s Unlimited Void overwhelmed his information-processing capacity and defeated him. Lu Ren subsequently brought him back from death; his cultivation remained intact, and the experience loosened a spiritual bottleneck 249 254 255.

When Lu Ren disclosed that Tang San was holding Huo Yun’er’s soul as leverage, Huo Yuhao entered a binding-vow agreement with him and consumed ten fingers carrying Lu Ren’s soul avatar. His subsequent journey involved missing memories and an involuntary pull toward the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where he broke Tang San’s spatial seal 257 258 259.

Huo Yuhao inherited the God of Emotion position and ascended. Tang San initially welcomed him while privately planning to use Huo Yun’er to secure his loyalty 259 262 263.

Reunion and Independent Divine Combat

Huo Yuhao located his mother in the Divine Realm and declared that anyone preventing her rescue would become his enemy. He confronted Dai Mubai over helping Tang San imprison his own descendant’s mother, then reached Huo Yun’er while the surrounding gods fought 266 267 268.

After their reunion, he defended her against the Original Sin Gods. He later found Dai Hao living alongside her in the Undead Plane and recognized Lu Ren’s arrangement as both punishment for Dai Hao and companionship for his mother 268 271.

Following Lu Ren’s departure from his body, Huo Yuhao retained First-Level God cultivation and began mastering Cursed Techniques independently. He defeated four First-Level Gods, earned first place with 817 points and eight enhancement opportunities, and immediately challenged Tang San 291 308.

His fully manifested Asura’s Eye allowed him to overpower Tang San temporarily. However, he became absorbed in attacking and lost track of its five-minute limit. When the enhancement expired, Tang San struck him away with the Golden Trident 309 310.

Appearance

• Build: Described as slender when returning to Star Luo City 248.
• Facial features: Bears a resemblance to Dai Hao; by his reunion with Huo Yun’er, his youthful features have matured into those of a grown man 110 268.
• Asura’s Eye: Manifests as a third eye on his forehead. Its complete form reveals a deep-crimson pupil and emits blood-red light 306 307.
• Flowing Red Scale: Produces blood-red patterns around his eyes and a pale-red mist of blood Qi around his body 306.

Personality

Huo Yuhao initially demonstrates unusual fairness and maturity in defeat. After losing the Ice Empress, he rejects the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm’s demand for retaliation, distinguishing being ignored by a stronger person from being deliberately harmed. He accepts the Ice Empress’s right to choose a better offer 103.

His mother’s death remains a much less manageable wound. Hatred toward Dai Hao becomes an obsession approaching an inner demon, while Shrek’s changing treatment makes him guarded and suspicious of seemingly benevolent authority figures. He refuses to confide in Xuan Zi without an established basis of trust 110.

Battlefield experience develops his composure and judgment, but does not eliminate emotional recklessness. Protecting his mother becomes more important than factional loyalties, and his rage against Tang San eventually makes him forget the strict limit on his strongest state 243 267 310.

His feelings toward Lu Ren remain conflicted. He resents the deaths of his Shrek companions, yet acknowledges Lu Ren’s assistance, care for Huo Yun’er, and willingness to support his own allies 243 271 309.

Spirit Eyes and Asura’s Eye

A spiritual, eye-type Body Martial Soul that undergoes a gold-ranked Second Awakening and becomes Asura’s Eye 133 246.
