Kiyohiko, who has barely watched Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, wakes up to discover that he has transmigrated into a demon on Mount Fujikasane. Aside from slightly stronger regeneration, he is so weak that he cannot even escape the mountain.

Luckily, he acquires a Bond System. Simply raising his bond levels with characters from the original story earns him rewards. With his emotional intelligence, Kiyohiko figures he will be kicking Muzan around and beating up Yoriichi within a month.

After finally escaping Mount Fujikasane, Kiyohiko wakes up to find a woman standing beside him, fiddling with a Nichirin Blade.

"Miss Shinobu, I haven't killed anyone. I even saved someone! Could you please keep that blade a little farther away?"

"A demon saving people instead of killing them? Just as I thought, demons really are a bunch of compulsive liars."

What leaves Kiyohiko even more hopeless is that Shinobu Kocho actually vouches for him at the Hashira Meeting, becoming the supervisor who will be watching over him day and night.

Doesn't that mean my life is going to be miserable?

A few months later:

"Kiyohiko, why are you looking for other girls to train with?"

"Now that you're an honorary Hashira, do you want to leave the Butterfly Mansion? I don't mind, you know."

So says Shinobu Kocho, blade in hand.
