Arc 5The Sleeping Beauty

Mukuro Hoshimiya’s sealed angelic power gave way to Belphegor, whose dream engulfed the world and drained the Greater Grail. Ritsuka Fujimaru gathered allies to reach Mukuro at the dream’s deepest layer before Belphegor could awaken fully.

  • Jeanne d'Arc discovered that Amakusa Shirou Tokisada was a Ruler with a real body, then agreed to help the Red Faction subjugate Mukuro Hoshimiya.
  • The Red Faction attacked the Black Faction, killing Siegfried and Avicebron and costing Heracles five lives before he recovered them with a Golden Apple.
  • Mukuro Hoshimiya met Achilles and Atalanta in Trifas, shared her wish for a real body, and explained that the Holy Grail could not grant Atalanta’s wish for all children to be happy.
  • Amakusa Shirou Tokisada and Semiramis infiltrated the fortress to access the Greater Grail while Heracles, Karna, and Achilles fought Mukuro, and Heracles’s golden sword sealed Michael and released Mukuro’s demonic side as Belphegor.
  • Belphegor spread a dream across the world, trapped Karna, Heracles, and Jeanne d'Arc in a repeating nightmare, and drained the Greater Grail and the Inner Sea to sustain the dream.
  • Ritsuka Fujimaru, Mash Kyrielight, and Merlin entered the dream, restored Atalanta’s memories, and rescued Karna and Heracles from the nightmare loop with Metatron’s help.
  • Metatron revealed that Mukuro was Tiphereth, protected by Michael, and that Belphegor’s full awakening could destroy both the dream and the real world.
  • Merlin connected Ritsuka Fujimaru to Mukuro through Caules’s Command Spells, and Ritsuka gathered Astolfo, Amakusa Shirou Tokisada, Semiramis, and Atalanta to reach the dream’s deepest layer.

Arc 6The Dream Holy Grail War

Mukuro Hoshimiya let a three-on-three Holy Grail War decide whether Earth would be restored or replaced by her dream world, and Heracles’s victory led her to make the dream world real. After returning Chaldea’s group to their own time, she vanished, and Ritsuka Fujimaru, Mash, and Mayuri began investigating the Sixth Singularity and allied with the People of the Mountain.

  • Ritsuka Fujimaru’s team failed to reach Mukuro through Belphegor’s dream, while Belphegor expanded the dream across parallel worlds and Mukuro woke in Trifas.
  • Mukuro rejected the group’s appeal to save Earth at first, then proposed either refilling the Greater Grail to restore Earth or making the dream world its replacement.
  • The group split over Mukuro’s two plans, so Mukuro arranged a three-on-three Dream Holy Grail War to decide Earth’s fate and grant the winners one reasonable request.
  • Mash, Metatron, and Arcueid fought Atalanta, Karna, and Heracles on the lunar battlefield, where Karna defeated Mash’s first decisive attack before Mash later defeated him.
  • Heracles defeated Arcueid and Metatron, then killed Mash and won the war, choosing to materialize the dream world and asking Mukuro to send him to a world where he could save Illya.
  • Mukuro made the dream world replace Earth, entrusted its administration to Gaia, Alaya, and Amakusa Shirou Tokisada, then erased the Chaldea group’s memories and sent them home.
  • In the Sixth Singularity, Ritsuka, Mash, and Mayuri met Hassan of the Hundred Faces, learned that the Lion King had destroyed Jerusalem and built Camelot, and accepted an alliance with the People of the Mountain.
  • Cursed Arm Hassan agreed to let Ritsuka, Mash, and Mayuri accompany an envoy to Pharaoh Ozymandias’s territory, with the group concealing its Chaldea identities unless necessary.
