  • Delisha revealed that she was a Highgod and ordered Jason to join the Rhine Clan’s planned migration to the Netherworld, while Jason worried that the destination could draw dangerous attention.
  • Jason and his companions settled on Crescent Island, where Jason joined Edward, Dante, and Adelong in defeating the Unicorn Crystal Dragon Kulai Xi.
  • After twenty-one years of seclusion, Jason became a Lowgod with a water Divine Spark and told Delisha that the fusion of his water and ice Profound Mysteries had enabled his breakthrough.
  • Delisha and Landon explained the Rhine Clan’s history and its connection to the Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiends, and Jason advised Landon to give the ten Lowgod Sparks to Saints with little chance of becoming deities on their own.

  • Jason and his companions left Blackstone City and headed for the Mountain Range of Magical Beasts.

Ch. 52Lightning Flash and Blood Rain

Jason Rhine fought Samantha Paluozzi, a Peak Saint known as “Lightning Flash and Blood Rain,” after she challenged him over his injury to her disciple. Jason’s combined martial and magical abilities overwhelmed her, and Samantha conceded defeat.

  • Samantha Paluozzi confronted Jason Rhine over his injury to her disciple and agreed to settle the matter with a duel away from Blackstone City.
  • Jason and Samantha moved ten kilometers south, where Samantha attacked with blood-rain and lightning arrows while Jason defended and slowed her mount with ice.
  • Jason closed the distance, but the Azure-Winged Pegasus used its Vocal Music Profound Mystery to force him back.
  • Jason summoned and transformed a Water Dragon into an ice dragon as Samantha fired another Lightning Flash Arrow.
  • Jason broke through the obscuring water magic, and Samantha lowered her bow and admitted defeat.

Ch. 53Fusing Profound Mysteries, Jason's Talent

After nearly two months of relentless practice, Jason fused his Lightning Flash Profound Mysteries with the Lightning Element Profound Truth and believed the breakthrough could let him become a god. He left the clearing confident that his talent might allow him to survive future dangers without relying on Linley or Beirut.

  • Veronica, Linda, and Clear Spring watched Jason practice his Lightning Flash Profound Mysteries for a month after his fight with Lightning Flash and Blood Rain.
  • Jason suddenly moved several times faster and announced that his Lightning Flash Profound Mysteries had begun fusing with the Lightning Element Profound Truth.
  • Jason explained that fusing Profound Mysteries could help him reach the Deity level sooner and potentially become a Midgod if he completed the fusion.
  • Veronica and Clear Spring questioned Jason's confidence, but he insisted his early breakthrough proved he was exceptionally talented.
  • Jason reflected that his cultivation might let him survive the coming dangers on the Yulan Continent without depending on Linley or Beirut.

Ch. 54Twin-Headed Silver Dragon

Veronica challenged the Twin-Headed Silver Dragon in his mountain lair and defeated him, after which he signed a Master-Servant Contract with her. The group learned his name was Ivan and prepared to leave the Mountain Range of Magical Beasts for Chiyan City and the Rhine Empire.

  • Veronica charged the Twin-Headed Silver Dragon alone and declared that she wanted him as her contract partner.
  • Veronica broke through his Shield of Light, wounded his wing with a javelin, and knocked him to the ground with a sword strike.
  • The Twin-Headed Silver Dragon submitted, and Jason drew up a magical beast contract that Ivan signed with Veronica.
  • Veronica introduced the dragon as Ivan, a 133-year-old who had only recently reached the ninth level and had not comprehended any Profound Mysteries.
  • Jason announced that the group would visit Chiyan City the next day before returning to the Rhine Empire, and everyone agreed they had nothing else to do in the area.

Ch. 55War God Sect

Jason and Veronica visited War God Mountain, where Veronica fought Yanos after he mistook her for a Dragonblood Warrior, and Jason defeated him when he attacked. They later went to the Bosha Dike and decided to fish before heading home.

  • Jason and Veronica learned that the War God Sect was holding its once-in-a-century disciple selection near Chiyan City and chose to visit War God Mountain.
  • Yanos, the War God's fifteenth personal disciple, challenged Veronica after mistaking her for a Dragonblood Warrior of the Baruch Clan.
  • Veronica fought Yanos with her Flame Domain, but ran out of Battle-qi and lost the match.
  • Yanos threatened Veronica, so Jason stepped in and defeated him, severing his right arm.
  • Jason and Veronica visited the Bosha Dike while Linda and the others played in deeper water, then planned to fish and head home.

Ch. 56Far East Prairie

Jason and Veronica returned to the Rhine Empire, where Emperor Maisiji sent them to help the army after a prairie warrior and a Saint-level enemy caused a crushing defeat. They reached ravaged Purplewood City with Barek's forces and learned about the brutal barbarians fighting for the Golden Royal Court.

  • Jason returned to the Rhein Imperial Palace with Veronica and reunited with Lucy and Barek at Emperor Maisiji's welcome banquet.
  • Barek told Jason that the Rhine Clan had ordered its members to train after Maisiji visited Bloodshadow Valley's forbidden area.
  • Maisiji asked Jason to oversee the army, Veronica to deal with a powerful Engudu warrior, and Barek to lead troops against the prairie forces.
  • Jason and Veronica joined Barek's army, which reached Purplewood City with thirty thousand troops after gathering survivors.
  • Jason found the bodies of girls inside a ruined building, and a soldier explained the barbarians' hostility toward humans and the Golden Royal Court's influence.

Ch. 57The Golden Royal Court and White Deer Mountain

Bulake and the Golden Royal Court launched raids across the Rhine Empire after Bulake defeated its army commander, while Barek explained the empire’s shortages and limited support to Jason and Veronica. Jason recognized Bulake as a Peak Saint-level threat, and the chapter ended with Jason unable to intervene decisively without reaching the Deity level.

  • The Golden Royal Court’s ruler ordered Bulake, who had won a Silver Behemoth’s recognition, to lead an assault on the Rhine Empire.
  • Bulake’s victories over five years left the eastern Rhine Empire exposed, and the Golden Royal Court began raiding its frontier.
  • Barek told Jason that the Rhine Empire lacked troops, provisions, and weapons, and could not deploy necromancers without risking its alliances.
  • Barek proposed that he, Jason, and Veronica lead an elite force to surround and kill Bulake, but Jason judged Bulake’s mastery of the Edicts of Destruction to be at the Peak Saint level.
  • Barek explained that White Deer Mountain would not fight the Golden Royal Court and that only the Luo'ao Empire would send troops to help.
  • Jason concluded that he could not change the balance of power until he reached the Deity level.

Ch. 58Cavalry Clash

Barek lured Bulake’s barbarian cavalry into a battle while Jason and Veronica prepared to counter their Saint-level fighters. Jason killed the barbarian Saint Wudawa, then returned his attention to the still-unfolding battle.

  • Bulake ignored the old chief’s warnings and sent three thousand cavalry to attack Barek’s six thousand, while another ten thousand circled around the flank.
  • Barek revealed that he had baited Bulake and prepared his forces, as Jason called Clear Spring’s reserves for support.
  • Veronica fought Bulake while Ivan and a Ninth-level Warrior held off the Silver Behemoth.
  • Wudawa confronted Jason in the sky, but Jason killed him with a flash of purple lightning before he could finish introducing himself.
  • Jason found that Wudawa’s tattoos and enhanced toughness faded after death, tossed the corpse toward Barek, and watched the battlefield again.

Ch. 59Slaying the Barbarians

Veronica killed Bulake after Jason slew the barbarian Saint-level expert, and Barek’s forces won the battle but could not safely return to Purplewood City. Barek ordered the garrison to evacuate east, while Jason and Veronica helped secure the aftermath.

  • Veronica told Bulake that Jason had killed the barbarian Saint-level expert, then pierced Bulake through the chest when he tried to flee through poisonous fog.
  • Barek displayed the dead Saint-level expert’s body as the old chieftain ordered an orderly retreat, abandoning troops entangled with the Rhein forces.
  • Jason joined Barek after the battle, and Barek judged that the barbarians might converge on Purplewood City, so he ordered its garrison to burn its supplies and break out east.
  • Barrett’s reinforcements arrived, and the Rhein forces wiped out the barbarian vanguard and rearguard, though they suffered heavy casualties.
  • Jason learned from prisoners that Bulake had led the campaign and that the old chieftain was not its commander-in-chief; Barek still prepared for the worst and kept the evacuation order.
  • Veronica and Ivan killed the Silver Behemoth after the battle, and Veronica stored its corpse before joining Ivan to help treat the wounded.

Ch. 60The Undead Legion Joins the Battlefield

The Rhine Empire sent Necromancers and Saint-level reinforcements to crush the barbarians and destroy the Golden Royal Court while its ancestor suppressed their Deity-level Metal Puppet. Jason learned the clan planned to move its Saint-level experts to the Higher Planes, but Rhine Clan members could refuse.

  • Barek reported Bulake’s death to the Rhine imperial capital, and the first undead legion arrived at Purplewood City three days later.
  • Mage Pelham revealed that Maisiji and the former emperors had ordered the Rhine Clan to use its full strength and attack the barbarian tribes.
  • Five days later, Edward arrived with ten Saint-level experts and told Jason that the Rhine ancestor had recovered his strength and intended to lead Saint-level experts to the Higher Planes.
  • Edward explained that the ancestor would suppress the Golden Royal Court’s Deity-level Metal Puppet while the Rhine forces destroyed the court and the beastman race.

Ch. 61The Golden Royal Court's Saint-level Experts

The Rhine Clan’s necromancer army drove the Golden Royal Court’s beastmen to a desperate battle, and Jason joined the Saint-level clash to neutralize the priest Tohuti. Jason’s collision knocked Tohuti out of the fight, though the impact badly injured Jason.

  • Edward said the Golden Royal Court had sent seven waves of suicide troops against the necromancers, while the Rhine Clan’s elite forces guarded them.
  • The Golden Royal Court’s Saint-level experts finally appeared, and Jason learned that nineteen opponents faced the Rhine side’s thirteen Saint-level experts.
  • Edward, Lucy, and other Rhine necromancers summoned thirty-one Saint-level undead, bringing their combined force to forty-four.
  • Edward asked Jason to hold off Tohuti, a defensive priest whose Life Magic and divine-artifact cloak made him a dangerous support for the beastmen.
  • Jason charged through the Saint-level battle and slammed into Tohuti’s Earth Guardian Saint Armor, knocking him out of the fight while the impact injured Jason and disrupted his battle-qi.

Ch. 62Deathgod Golem

Jason kept Tohuti away from the main battle until the Rhine Clan’s ancestor stopped the Golden Royal Court’s Deathgod Golem and the enemy forces began to collapse. After Edward took over the fight against Tohuti, Jason pursued fleeing opponents, and the ancestor learned that he was a young Saint-level lightning specialist.

  • Jason repeatedly rammed Tohuti away from the fighting, then summoned an ice dragon to battle Tohuti’s Earth Guardian golem.
  • A Deathgod Golem entered the battle, but the Rhine Clan’s ancestor struck it down with lightning and identified it as a weakened Blood-colored Golem.
  • The Rhine Clan’s Saint-level fighters defeated most of the Golden Royal Court’s forces, while the ancestor directed groups to pursue the survivors.
  • Edward arrived with nine undead, took over the fight against Tohuti, and sent Jason northeast after the fleeing enemies.
  • The Rhine Clan’s ancestor and four Saint-level experts used coordinated soul attacks to kill the golem’s controller, then she learned that Jason Rhine was a young lightning specialist.

Ch. 63A Battle of Attrition Between Peak Saints

Jason fought a Golden Royal Court Saint who used the Earth Travel Technique and pursued him toward the East Sea. After killing him with a lightning scroll and the Power of Death, Jason discovered that his Edicts of Death had advanced and recovered a divine artifact shield.

  • The orc Saint attacked Jason, then fled toward the East Sea when Jason wounded him with the Power of Death.
  • Jason used a light elemental angel scroll to force the orc out of the earth and fought him in a battle of attrition.
  • Jason restored his Battle-qi with a Holy Light Illumination scroll and pursued the retreating orc toward the sea.
  • When the orc entered the water, Jason struck him with a Thunder Punishment scroll and killed him with a slash empowered by the Power of Death.
  • Jason realized his Edicts of Death had made a breakthrough, looted the orc's belongings, and identified his shield as an earth-attribute divine artifact.

Ch. 64The Fall of the Golden Royal Court

After the Rhine forces defeated the Golden Royal Court, Jason used a Blue Jade Fruit to secure a breakthrough in the Edicts of Death and found the Life Magic inheritance he had sought. With the enemy’s Saint-level experts dead and the Golden Royal Court taken, Jason and the others returned to Rhine City while the empire prepared to campaign against the prairie tribes from its borders.

  • Jason received a Blue Jade Fruit from Edward and spent ten days cultivating, gaining the Withering ability in the Edicts of Death.
  • Jason and Veronica watched the remaining orc and barbarian tribes fight to defend the Golden Royal Court as Barek’s forces wore them down.
  • The Rhine army took the Golden Royal Court after another ten days, and Emperor Maisiji ordered reinforcements to help wipe out the orc and barbarian tribes.
  • Jason found and copied the Life Magic inheritance, including its methods for forming contracts with plants.
  • Barek told Jason to return to the imperial capital while the Rhine army rested and prepared to withdraw from the prairie.
  • Jason and the others returned to Rhine City as the empire planned to expand into the prairie from its borders.

Ch. 65Life Magic and the Sapling

Jason exchanged his full soul crystal ball for a Blue Jade Fruit and obtained a Blue Jade Fruit Tree sapling to cultivate through Life Magic. After bonding with the sapling, he found that his own power could not meaningfully speed its growth, and he and his companions settled in Bloodshadow Valley to cultivate.

  • Jason asked Bili to exchange his full soul crystal ball for a Blue Jade Fruit Tree seed, and she let him take a sapling after inspecting his Life Magic inheritance.
  • Bili's Deity-level master told her that Jason was worth nurturing and instructed her to guide him when she could.
  • Jason requested a house in Bloodshadow Valley, while Ivan chose a nearby mountain as his territory.
  • Jason used a magic array to form a contract with the sapling and discovered that its life energy and Water Element mana were already at Saint-level.
  • Jason realized he could not provide enough power to hasten the sapling's growth, then began cultivating Life Magic and Necromancy while his companions settled into seclusion.

Ch. 66The Quiet After Traveling 1

Jason strengthened his undead legion in the Netherworld before returning to the Yulan Continent, where he learned that Lucy had reached the Saint-level and planned to become empress. The chapter ended with Jason agreeing to attend her coronation with Veronica.

  • Jason and Lumba subdued a force of Dark Knights and recruited their Saint-level leader to help command the undead army.
  • Jason tracked down and subdued a Saint-level skeleton archer, gaining a lightning-attribute Divine Artifact war bow that could only be used in the Netherworld.
  • Jason told Lumba and the core undead to develop the legion themselves, then returned to the Yulan Continent.
  • Lucy told Jason and Veronica that she had reached the Saint-level as a warrior, comprehended the Profound Mysteries of Shadow, and regretted her past conflict with Barek.
  • Lucy said she planned to succeed Imperial Father as ruler of Rhine City so he could attempt to reach the Saint-level, and Jason agreed to attend her coronation with Veronica.

Ch. 67The Quiet After the Travels 2

Jason spent years cultivating peacefully in Bloodshadow Valley while the people around him advanced in their cultivation and settled into a comfortable routine. The chapter left Jason continuing to pursue the Water and Death paths, with the Blue Jade Fruit Tree aiding his cultivation and his friends gathered around Linda’s cooking.

  • Jason gave Maisiji an Interspatial Ring and learned that the Blue Jade Fruit Tree gradually improved his clarity and spiritual growth after they formed a contract.
  • Five years after Jason returned to Bloodshadow Valley, Ivan reached the Saint level, and Jason explained Ivan’s Dazzling Light Profound Mystery.
  • Jason progressed rapidly in the Elemental Essence of Lightning and Edicts of Death while pursuing a fusion of Water Profound Mysteries.
  • Veronica advanced in the Edicts of Destruction, Clear Spring found signs of fusion between her Evil and Curse Profound Mysteries, and Linda made little progress in cultivation.
  • Veronica, Clear Spring, Ivan, and Jason praised Linda’s cooking, and Linda promised that they could rely on her.

Ch. 68"Ancestor" Delisha

Lucy warned that the Rhine Empire faced war and rising hostility, prompting its rulers to consider how to protect the clan’s future. Delisha announced that she would lead the clan to the Netherworld in a hundred years and insisted Jason come, leaving him worried about the dangers awaiting them.

  • Lucy told the Rhine Empire’s former emperors and Saint-level experts that the Yulan and O'Brien Empires had declared war while nomads pressed south and the Luo'ao Empire stayed neutral.
  • Jason volunteered to remain on the Yulan Continent to defend the empire, but Delisha arrived and ordered him to join the clan’s migration.
  • Delisha revealed that she was a Highgod and said she would lead the Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiends and some Rhine Clan members to the Netherworld in a hundred years.
  • Jason warned Veronica that the Netherworld held vast numbers of powerful Deity-level experts and that their group could attract dangerous attention.
  • Jason began considering whether the clan should choose a safer destination, such as the Divine Life Realm.

Ch. 69Crescent Island

Jason and his companions arrived at Crescent Island, where Saint-level experts trained and sought breakthroughs, and settled into a new home. Jason continued preparing for his own breakthrough to the Deity level as the group began adapting to life on the island.

  • Jason and his companions flew to Crescent Island, where Saint-level magical beasts inhabited the surrounding waters.
  • They met Janet, the Blood Dragon who managed the island, and Jason chose a shared residential area for his group.
  • Jason planted a sapling and summoned undead to build houses while Veronica, Ivan, Linda, and Clear Spring pursued their own activities.
  • Jason expanded his Interspatial Ring to a thousand cubic meters while the houses were being built.
  • Linda called everyone to try her coconut-stewed squab.

Ch. 70Extreme Ice Sword Saint

Jason learned why Dante resented Ailin’s Equal Contract with Adelong, the Extreme Ice Sword Saint, and joined Edward and Dante to hunt a Unicorn Crystal Dragon with him. The group reached Ailin and Adelong, and Jason judged the famed Saint to be rather showy.

  • Jason learned that Dante had formed an Equal Contract with Edward and that Ailin had recently formed one with Adelong, a human Saint Warrior over five thousand years old.
  • Dante angrily objected to Ailin’s contract with Adelong, while Jason and Edward tried to reassure him.
  • Edward explained that Adelong had invited them to hunt a Unicorn Crystal Dragon, hoping the outing would ease tensions with Dante.
  • Edward warned Jason that the dragon was a powerful Saint-level beast, with both Water and Darkness Elements at the Saint-level Limit.
  • Jason, Edward, Dante, and Veronica reached Ailin and Adelong, and Jason saw the cold, white-clad Extreme Ice Sword Saint.

Ch. 71Fierce battle with the Unicorn Crystal Dragon

Jason and three allies sparred with the Unicorn Crystal Dragon, Kulai Xi Caldwell, to test their strength and seek breakthroughs. After a series of punishing clashes, Jason’s speed and Death attack let him wound the dragon, who conceded defeat and agreed to fight them again.

  • Adelong described the Unicorn Crystal Dragon’s mastery of Darkness and Ice, and Jason recognized that he had begun learning the Profound Mysteries of Ice.
  • Jason fought Kulai Xi one-on-one for nearly an hour, breaking his old saber before borrowing a new one from Edward, and stopped when his Battle-qi ran low.
  • Edward, Dante, and Adelong joined the fight, while Arnold struck Kulai Xi’s foreleg and was countered by Spears of Dark Curse.
  • Jason returned to the battle and used his speed and Death attack to wound Kulai Xi, while the dragon’s icy aura slowed Edward and Dante and his breath nearly shattered Jason’s frost shield.
  • Edward, Dante, and Arnold charged Kulai Xi head-on and halted his momentum, then Jason struck the dragon’s neck with a final lightning-fast attack.
  • Kulai Xi admitted defeat, and Jason said their four-on-one victory brought no honor as Edward and the others asked to fight again.

Ch. 72Water Element Godhood

After a battle with the Unicorn Crystal Dragon, Jason gained an insight from its blood and spent twenty-one years cultivating before becoming a Lowgod through the fusion of three water-attribute Profound Mysteries. Delisha explained the basics of godhood, gave him Midgod Artifacts, and invited him to Bloodshadow Valley in three days.

  • Jason noticed an insight while examining the Unicorn Crystal Dragon's blood and began cultivating, remaining in seclusion for twenty-one years.
  • At age 89, Jason broke through the ice wall and became a Lowgod, forming a water-attribute Divine Spark and choosing External Godhood.
  • Jason created a Divine Body and learned from Delisha about the Elemental Sea, Divine Clones, and Divine Artifacts.
  • Delisha gave Jason a dark-blue blade and scale armor made from Blood Blades, then invited him to Bloodshadow Valley in three days.
  • Jason told Delisha that the Profound Mystery of Roundness, Water Body Technique, and Profound Mysteries of Ice had begun to fuse, allowing him to become a god.

Ch. 73Divine Sparks, artifacts, and divine power

After cultivating for twenty-one years, Jason became a Lowgod through the Water Element and tested his new Divine Clone, divine power, and artifacts. He planned to meet Lady Delisha in three days and considered changing the family’s destination from the Netherworld to the Infernal Realm.

  • Jason returned to Crescent Island as a Deity-level expert, and Veronica told him he had cultivated for twenty-one years.
  • Jason explained his new Divine Clone and divine power to Veronica, Clear Spring, Linda, and Ivan, then bound the Ice Rain saber and Black Water armor to himself.
  • Jason told Veronica he would meet Lady Delisha at Bloodshadow Valley and wondered how to handle the surviving Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiends and whether to go to the Netherworld.
  • Jason tested his powers over the sea, finding that his Water Clone could use other Laws only when merged with his original body and could comprehend Water Law more quickly.
  • After a day of testing his strength, Jason planned to spend the next day with Veronica.

Ch. 74The Rhine Clan's Leaders

Jason met Delisha and the Rhine Clan’s other leaders, learned how the clan had been enslaved and nearly destroyed in the battle five thousand years ago, and questioned Delisha’s plan to move the clan to the Netherworld. The chapter ended with Delisha ordering Jason to swear an Overgod Oath of eternal loyalty to her and the Rhine Clan.

  • Jason arrived at Bloodshadow Valley and met Delisha, Landon, Aaron, Angela, Rita, and Bili, learning their roles and origins.
  • Landon and Delisha told Jason that more than twenty Highgods had fought Beirut for a Sovereign Artifact, while one of them had enslaved the Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiends through Soul Seed control.
  • Delisha recounted the clan’s history, including its near destruction five thousand years ago and how the surviving leaders had concealed the truth from their descendants.
  • Jason questioned Delisha’s plan to take the clan to the Netherworld, warning that bringing everyone together could draw hostile attention.
  • Delisha decided to distribute her ten Lowgod Sparks through Landon, then ordered Jason to swear eternal loyalty to her and the Rhine Clan with an Overgod Oath.

Ch. 75A Conversation with Deities

Jason learned about Delisha’s history and strength from Landon while discussing the Rhine Clan’s future and the value of Divine Sparks. Landon accepted Jason’s advice and selected poorly gifted Saints related to the clan by marriage to receive the ten Lowgod Sparks.

  • Jason spoke with Landon in the imperial palace, and Landon explained that the Rhine Clan descended from Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiends named Rhein.
  • Landon recounted how Delisha fought Clan Leader Rhein to a draw, lost her Death Clone in the great war, and later became a Lightning Element deity before refining a High Godhead and her death Divine Spark.
  • Jason learned that Lord Beirut mainly forbade the Violet-Eyed Bladewing Fiends from killing Yulan Continent inhabitants, and asked Landon who should receive the clan’s ten Lowgod Sparks.
  • Jason advised Landon to choose Saints related to the clan by marriage who had little hope of becoming deities on their own.
  • Landon accepted Jason’s suggestion and selected several Saints with poor aptitude to refine the Lowgod Sparks.
