Background

In his recollection of the original story, Jiang Yi identifies Bei Bei as the great-great-grandson of a Limit Douluo. He associates this powerful background with Bei Bei’s access to rare Mystic Water Pills 12.

Bei Bei is the Tang Sect’s eldest disciple under sect master Tang Ya. At Shrek Academy, he studies in Class One and sits beside Xu Sanshi 27 30.

Personality

Bei Bei is courteous and observant. He initiates a friendly introduction to Jiang Yi, takes an interest in his exceptional admission, and watches for evidence of his actual fighting strength rather than dismissing him because of his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul 31 38.

His devotion to Tang Ya makes him willing to offer any compensation within his means for advice that could strengthen her Martial Soul. He reassures her during emotional outbursts, apologizes on her behalf, and insists on repaying Jiang Yi even after being told that no payment is necessary 40 41 45.

He also shares a teasing friendship with Xu Sanshi, rejecting his self-proclaimed beauty rankings and privately rolling his eyes at his awkward behavior around Ruan Qingjun 30 37.

Lightning Control

Bei Bei can gather blue-violet lightning into a ball in his palm and enlarge it by continuously supplying Soul Power 38.

• He charges into the Lie Yan Tiger’s incoming fireball and counters it with the lightning ball.
• He can activate all three Soul Skills together for an intense assault, but doing so consumes much of his Soul Power 38 42 43.

Light Attribute

Bei Bei possesses the light attribute. Among his teammates, this gives him the closest connection to Jiang Yi’s newly revealed sacred attribute, although he is still surprised that Blue Silver Grass can possess such a property 44.

Meeting Jiang Yi

Bei Bei first observes Jiang Yi when Lin Yu introduces him to Class One. After class, he formally introduces himself outside the dormitory and asks about Jiang Yi’s relationship with Jiang Nannan. He later admits that he is especially curious about the strength that earned Jiang Yi exceptional admission 30 31.

Individual Advancement Assessment

Bei Bei is the first Class One student called into the arena. He chooses an eight-hundred-year Soul Beast and defeats a Lie Yan Tiger through paralysis, a lightning counterattack, and a decisive close-range strike. He earns all eighty available base points and fifty technique points, passing with 130 points 38.

Afterward, Jiang Yi’s thousand-year First Soul Ring and powerful Blue Silver Grass astonish him. Seeing how deeply the performance unsettles Tang Ya, Bei Bei approaches Jiang Yi for cultivation guidance 39 40.

Seeking a New Path for Tang Ya

When Jiang Yi recommends strengthening Blue Silver Grass’s vitality and toughness through compatible Soul Rings, Tang Ya struggles to accept advice that contradicts the Tang Sect’s inherited approach. Bei Bei calms her and later apologizes to Jiang Yi 40 41.

Jiang Yi explains that Tang Ya can still adjust her cultivation by choosing life-attribute Soul Rings from her third ring onward. Bei Bei resolves to persuade her before she reaches rank thirty 41.

Class Assessment Against Soul Ancestors

Selected alongside Jiang Yi, Jiang Nannan, and Xu Sanshi, Bei Bei helps challenge three level-forty-five Soul Ancestors. He pressures Xing You with all three Soul Skills, preventing him from immediately assisting his teammates 41 42.

The effort drains Bei Bei’s reserves. Xing You’s black-mist fist eventually strikes his abdomen and sends him flying; Jiang Yi catches him with Blue Silver Grass. Injured and unable to continue, Bei Bei agrees to let Jiang Yi attempt the final duel 43.

Jiang Yi wins and explicitly credits Bei Bei with holding Xing You back. The shared victory brings the teammates closer, and they celebrate at Xu Sanshi’s expense at the Shrek Grand Hotel 44 45.

Repaying Jiang Yi

After the assessment, Bei Bei privately thanks Jiang Yi for guiding Tang Ya’s cultivation. Insisting that such advice could change a Blue Silver Grass Soul Master’s destiny, he gives Jiang Yi a Mystic Water Pill in a white jade porcelain bottle 45.
