Background / History

Acquisition of the Creation Diary

After leaving the city and returning to his hometown following a breakup and resignation, Jiang Ping encounters a black-clad stranger who drops a black-covered book. Unable to find its owner, he takes the book home; it becomes the Creation Diary. 1

Using the Diary, Jiang Ping creates his first experimental minor world: the Primordial World. The Diary identifies him as its “Master” and grants him the highest authority over the world’s rules. 2

Primordial World

Jiang Ping accelerates the Primordial World’s evolution, observes repeated mass extinctions, and increasingly accepts natural selection as part of a world’s development. The Central Great Tree’s repeated revival particularly impresses him. 4

He seeds early humanity’s development by offering Wuma the Dragon Blood and the Spark of Civilization. Wuma later becomes the first Human King after obtaining the Spear of Destiny, Spark of Civilization, and Tablet of Truth. 8 10

Jiang Ping initially treats the world as an experiment, but Wuma’s final appearance in his dream makes him acknowledge that humanity’s rise was Wuma’s own achievement, not merely the result of divine intervention. 21

When the Primordial World is destroyed, its accumulated energy, techniques, knowledge, and Laws feed back through the Creation Diary, raising Jiang Ping to the Mortal Limit. 38

Jiang Ping later opens the Primordial World and other worlds to Players, observing their strategies, explorations, and unintended effects on history. He sees the worlds he cultivates as both experiments and stories whose growth produces energy and Laws for him. 45 49 223

Although he can manipulate timelines and world rules, Jiang Ping retains a desire to personally experience the worlds he creates. He develops aliases and incarnations to travel among their inhabitants without exposing his true identity. 110 144

Roer and Midgard

While traveling through the Hill World as Roer, Jiang Ping disrupts a battlefield simply because he disapproves of its location. After casually repelling the Orc King, the warriors call him the “God of Joy and Mischief.” 145

He reinforces this reputation by giving free toys to children and offering Alice a chance to change her fate. 146

Roer becomes an ambiguous legend in Midgard: he protects Vivian and Alice, confronts powerful rulers and gods, and refuses to overthrow the God King himself because doing so would only replace one oppressor with another. 154 177 184

Later World Creation

Jiang Ping creates Gaia as a miniature universe within a fish tank and observes its civilizations across multiple epochs. He repeatedly accelerates time, studies civilizational rise and collapse, and uses their feedback to deepen his own cultivation. 324 344 439
