Background
Rona was raised by a Giant Dragon—whom she calls Dragon Mom—until roughly the age of seven or eight. She does not know her biological parents or why she later had to wander alone. During her travels, hunger drove her to serve as a militiaman simply to receive food. 151 152
She was eventually captured by the slave trader Remy. Isaac Solomon purchased her to avoid future conflict with the Witch Country and out of curiosity about Witch magic. Rather than treating her as property, Isaac gave her money, equipment access, and the freedom to leave or remain. 149
Initially guarded, Rona chose to stay at Isaac's Castle and consented to his study of her abilities. She sought to become useful beyond being researched, training slaves and later volunteering to cook for the household. 151 152
Appearance
Rona is a fair-skinned young Witch with azure eyes that become dark-golden vertical pupils when she activates dragon magic. 165
- Uses Half-Dragon Man Mode, which manifests dragon scales around her eyes, hands, and ears. 166
- Carries a longsword and dagger, reflecting her preference for close combat. 153
- Later receives brown battle-wizard attire with a long coat-tail, internal storage pockets, magical defenses, and unrestricted mobility. 153
- Her longsword is a Staff Sword, usable both as a melee weapon and a spellcasting focus. 153
Personality
Rona is wary and frugal from years of wandering, often treating ordinary food, armor, and equipment as luxuries. She initially fears that Isaac will misunderstand her attempts to help, because his household is the first place where she feels genuinely treated well. 151 152
She is earnest, loyal, and eager to prove her worth. Despite Isaac's reputation as a Mad Wizard, she judges him by his actions and chooses to remain at his side. 157
Her strongest interest is combat rather than academic study. She repeatedly trains with the Silver Knight and initially dismisses the need for magical theory, prompting Isaac to create Rona's Learning Time specifically to force her to study. 185 187
Abilities & Skills
Child of the Dragon
Rona's innate Witch magic is a concept-based ability that establishes her as a child in the eyes of dragonkind. 152
- Allows her to transform into a dragon and use Giant Dragon spells. 152
- Giant Dragons and even Dragon-Blooded Subdragons instinctively recognize her as their child. 152
- Her dragon bloodline grows through age, experience, resources, and mindset rather than conventional Wizard study. 272
Dragon Transformation
Rona can adopt a Half-Dragon form for direct combat. 166 172
- Enhances her body with Pure-Blooded Giant Dragon scales, providing exceptional defense. 172
- Wields a Dragon Flame-coated longsword in melee. 172
- Can exhale concentrated Dragon Flame to blast opponents away. 172
- The transformation's strength depends on the quality of the dragon blood and scales used as casting materials. 172
Giant Dragon Summoning
Rona can summon dragons for transport and combat, including the battle-experienced Winged Fire Dragon. 272
- As a Grand Witch, she could summon a Tier 3 Giant Dragon to fight independently. 188
- As a High Witch, she can maintain Tier 3 Subdragons and Pure-Blooded Giant Dragons for extended periods. 272
- In sufficiently dangerous circumstances, her high-tier summons can reach at least Tier 5; Isaac estimates that an extreme situation could call forth a Dragon Demigod. 272
- She generally favors experienced Tier 3 Subdragons in battle, as their combat experience outweighs the marginal power advantage of a Pure-Blooded Giant Dragon of the same tier. 272
Crimson Series Authority Magic
Rona possesses destructive Authority Magic from the Crimson Series. 274
- Crimson · Infinite Dragon Swarm — releases innumerable white mist dragons with crimson chests, overwhelming targets through raw destructive force. 274
- Used the spell to destroy a shark-like Star Beast whose body could rapidly recover and grow stronger during battle. 274
- Defeated targets can be converted into Crimson Crystals. 274
- Crimson Crystals are Magic Potion materials and renewable energy sources; one can power a Tier 3 Golem at full output for more than a month. 75
Dragon Eye
A perception spell that alters Rona's eyes into dragon pupils and lets her see through obstructions. 165
- Observed the walls of Loton Fortress through intervening buildings. 165
- Detected soldiers restrained by Demonic Fel Energy and identified the threat posed by a high-level Demon. 165
Equipment
- Dragon Flame longsword — used during combat training and in Half-Dragon form. 185 172
- Staff Sword — a battle-wizard weapon that functions as both a longsword and casting focus. 153
- Dagger — carried on her thigh alongside her sword. 153
- Battle-wizard attire — brown coat-like magical clothing selected by Smith; offers physical and magical defense without hindering movement. 153
Relationships
- Isaac Solomon — Purchaser, benefactor, mentor, and trusted companion. Isaac gives Rona freedom, develops her magical knowledge, and entrusts important defensive and organizational duties to her. 149 188 247
- Aine — Ally and companion during the Itera conflict. They work together to aid civilians, with Aine using Transformation Magic while Rona identifies threats and provides protection. 164 165
- Silver Knight — Regular sparring partner. Their training substantially improves Rona's combat skill and experience. 185 187
- Smith — Isaac's butler and a helpful colleague who accompanies Rona on missions and selects her battle-wizard equipment. 153
- Filo Merlin Terra — A distrusted but necessary ally. Rona remains suspicious of Filo's motives and Hand of God, though they cooperate during the Itera crisis. 166 167
- Lapis Lazuli — Isaac's Familiar, who changed Rona's clothes after her purchase. Lapis Lazuli is hostile toward Rona due to her place in Isaac's household. 149 152
- Dragon Mom — The Giant Dragon who raised Rona through early childhood and shaped her understanding of trust. 152
