Ch. 1Five Years

Five-year-old Talot reflected on his life as a Saiyan transmigrator and his carefully concealed training, which had raised his Battle Power to 990. He kept his reading low to avoid unwanted attention and recognized that his time on Planet Vegeta was limited.

  • Talot tested the upgraded Battle Power Detector and suppressed his ki until it read 350.
  • Talot recalled transmigrating as a newborn Saiyan five years earlier and training himself in ki control, raising his Battle Power from 200 to 990.
  • Talot compared his deliberately modest reading with Raditz's Battle Power of 500 and considered how Raditz's talent had brought him into the Prince's team.
  • Talot looked over the settlement outside the Royal City and reflected that living there gave him more freedom than joining the Elite Warriors.
  • Talot walked down the mountain, worried that his Battle Power had not yet passed 1,000 despite his training and that he had little time left.

Ch. 2Battle Power Wasn't Something You Could Raise on a Whim

Talot reflected on his limited strength and his need to escape Planet Vegeta before Frieza destroyed it. After sensing an overwhelming presence he suspected belonged to Beerus and Whis, he realized the planet might be destroyed in as little as two months and hurried home to find out when Bardock would return.

  • Talot reviewed how his Battle Power had risen from 200 to 990 through training and considered how to leave Planet Vegeta before Frieza's attack.
  • Talot recalled that Frieza's soldiers on Planet Vegeta were too strong for him to fight, making escape his only realistic option.
  • Talot sensed an oppressive presence near the Royal City but could not detect it with his ki sense or Battle Power Detector.
  • Talot concluded that Beerus and Whis might be on Planet Vegeta and remembered that Frieza had destroyed the Saiyans after receiving Beerus's order.
  • Talot estimated that Frieza could strike within two months and hurried home to ask when Bardock would return from Planet Cereal.

Ch. 3God of Destruction and Angel

Beerus humiliated King Vegeta at the Royal Palace, where the young Prince Vegeta tried and failed to intervene. Talot returned home and learned from Gine that Bardock might be back as soon as tomorrow or the day after, leaving him worried that events were approaching faster than expected.

  • Beerus mocked King Vegeta for the pillow he provided and forced him to kneel beneath his foot.
  • Five-year-old Vegeta charged at Beerus, but Beerus stopped him with a glance and knocked him down.
  • Beerus stomped King Vegeta unconscious, then left Planet Vegeta with Whis, who gave Vegeta a meaningful look.
  • Vegeta recovered and rushed to check on King Vegeta after Beerus and Whis had departed.
  • Talot returned to the market town and visited Gine, who told him Bardock might return within a day or two.
  • Talot grew alarmed at the news, and Gine asked whether he needed Bardock's help.

Ch. 4Kakarot, Timeline

Talot visited the sleeping Kakarot and reflected on his future before considering which Dragon Ball timeline they were in. He concluded that their world was likely close to the original Dragon Ball Z timeline and awaited Bardock’s return for confirmation.

  • Talot reassured Gine that he had only been surprised by Bardock’s expected return, then went to see Kakarot.
  • Talot scanned Kakarot with his new detector and confirmed that his Battle Power was still 2.
  • Talot told Kakarot that he had once envied him but now had plans of his own, then returned home.
  • Talot sensed that the beings who had troubled him had left Planet Vegeta and decided Bardock’s return would help him identify the timeline.
  • Talot compared the Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Minus timelines and judged that Planet Vegeta was following the original Dragon Ball Z timeline.

Ch. 5Bardock Returns

Talot prepared to leave Planet Vegeta safely with Gine while strengthening his Ki, then sensed Bardock’s return. Bardock checked six-month-old Kakarot’s Battle Power and worried that the growing pressure on his family made his younger son’s weakness a possible source of protection.

  • Talot decided he would take Gine with him when he eventually left Planet Vegeta and continued studying spaceships so he could evade tracking.
  • Talot’s training pushed his Battle Power past a thousand, and he spent the evening with Gine before lying awake through the night.
  • The next day, Talot sensed Bardock’s enormous Ki and realized Bardock had returned.
  • Bardock ate with Gine, then checked Kakarot’s Battle Power and found it was still only 2.
  • Bardock reassured Gine that he would not harm Kakarot and reflected that his son’s weakness might keep others from noticing him, as King Vegeta had placed Raditz beside the Prince as a hostage.

Ch. 6Battle Power 10,500!

Bardock returned home with a Battle Power of 10,500 and discussed Talot’s future as the boy reached the age when Saiyans were expected to conquer planets. Bardock proposed that Talot join Raditz and Prince Vegeta’s campaigns, but Talot hesitated and asked whether Bardock had another plan.

  • Bardock and Gine left Kakarot’s room and reunited with Talot, who greeted Bardock after his return.
  • Bardock scanned Talot and praised his Battle Power of 350, while Talot scanned Bardock and found his Battle Power had reached 10,500.
  • Bardock told Gine that Raditz would return that night, then took Talot aside for a private conversation.
  • Bardock explained that five-year-old Talot was expected to leave the protection period and go conquer planets.
  • Bardock proposed that Talot accompany Raditz and Prince Vegeta on their campaigns, but Talot asked what alternative arrangement Bardock had in mind.

Ch. 7A Heart-to-Heart, a Test

Talot declined Bardock’s offer to join the Prince’s team and learned that Bardock would soon lead a mission to Planet Kanassa. Bardock’s account of his mission confirmed events from Dragon Ball Minus, and Talot realized he needed to leave before Bardock’s departure and the coming destruction of Planet Vegeta.

  • Bardock offered to help Talot claim a mid-level planet or join the Prince’s team, but Talot said he would not join the Prince’s team.
  • Bardock told Talot that unknown invaders had reportedly killed elite guards in the Royal Palace, and he planned to ask King Vegeta about the incident.
  • Bardock recounted his mission to Cyril Star and revealed that his Battle Power had surpassed 10,000, shocking Talot with the confirmation that Dragon Ball Minus events had occurred.
  • Talot learned that Bardock had received a Royal Decree to lead a mission to Planet Kanassa within half a month.
  • Talot concluded that he needed to leave before Bardock’s mission and anticipated that Bardock would arrange for Kakarot to be sent to Earth.

Ch. 8Decision and Preparation

Bardock decided to prepare for the possibility that Frieza was plotting against the Saiyans, while Talot planned how to leave Planet Vegeta with supplies and Aunt Gine. Talot ended the day refining his ki control, still too weak to save Bardock or take him along.

  • Bardock connected Elec’s intelligence and the Royal Palace attack to a possible Frieza plot, then decided he had to prepare to send Kakarot and Talot away.
  • Talot returned home and planned to secure a medium-sized spaceship, medicine, healing liquid, raw materials, and possibly Saibaman Seeds.
  • Talot considered asking Bardock to help him bring Aunt Gine along, but concluded Bardock would refuse to leave Planet Vegeta and might react badly if Talot revealed his origins.
  • Talot reflected that Frieza’s immense Battle Power made the Saiyans’ situation hopeless if they learned the truth, then spent the afternoon training his ki.
  • After night fell, Talot finished consolidating his ki training and noticed improvements in his strength and ki control.

Ch. 9Raditz: Me, the Protagonist's Big Brother!

Talot refined his Ki control and reached a Battle Power of 1,150 before reuniting with Raditz and his family. Raditz showed how much he cared for Kakarot, while Talot teased him about the arrogant person he might have become.

  • Talot tested his Battle Power at 1,150 and suppressed his aura to 360 points.
  • Gine told Talot that Raditz had returned, and Talot joined her on the way to see him.
  • Raditz promised to protect Kakarot, who briefly opened his eyes in his Incubation Pod.
  • At dinner, Bardock praised Raditz for remaining humble and caring toward Kakarot.
  • Talot teased Raditz about becoming arrogant, and Raditz objected to being judged that way.

Ch. 10Clash

Talot and Raditz checked their Battle Power, then went outside for a spar so Talot could test his combat ability. Raditz’s 550 Battle Power gave him a clear advantage, and the fight began with him attacking in a fierce barrage.

  • Raditz’s question made Bardock and Gine laugh, and the family shared a moment of laughter after recognizing Talot’s unusually mature behavior.
  • Talot and Raditz checked their Battle Power Detectors, which showed Talot at 360 and Raditz at 550.
  • Raditz urged Talot to train harder and invited him to join him, but Talot said they had different paths to follow and reminded Raditz not to lose sight of his intentions.
  • Raditz invited Talot to spar outside, and Talot accepted so he could test his combat skills and reactions.
  • Talot charged Raditz and exchanged punches with him before retreating to search for an opening as Raditz launched a barrage of attacks.

Ch. 11Battle in Progress, Selari

Talot used speed and technique to hold his own against the stronger Raditz, while Bardock watched and criticized Raditz’s reliance on brute force. The fierce fight continued as Selari and the others looked on, with its outcome still undecided.

  • Talot used his Afterimage Fist to confuse Raditz, then struck him with a powerful flying kick.
  • Raditz recognized how Talot had used his speed and falling momentum, then drew on more strength as their fight intensified.
  • Selari watched the battle and resented Raditz for bullying Talot.
  • Bardock and Gine watched from the sidelines, and Bardock praised Talot’s skill while faulting Raditz for wasting energy on head-on attacks.

Ch. 12Necessary Experiences in Life

Talot deliberately lost a sparring match to Raditz after using it to test his strength and gain combat experience. Afterward, Selari confronted Raditz over the fight, but Talot and Bardock calmed the argument, leaving the children to reconsider their grudge.

  • Talot ended his sparring match with Raditz by making his defeat look like the result of exhaustion, while Raditz reflected on how hard he had needed to fight.
  • The Saiyans praised Raditz and Talot, and Bardock eventually dispersed the crowd.
  • Selari worried over Talot and accused Raditz of relying on advantages from training near Prince Vegeta.
  • Talot clarified that Raditz had not used his full strength, and Gine reminded Raditz that he had bullied Selari when they were younger.
  • Bardock urged Selari and Raditz not to cling to their quarrels, and Selari stopped openly targeting Raditz.

Ch. 13King Vegeta's Ambition Was Plain to See

Talot reflected on his battle with Raditz and prepared to put his plan into motion while Bardock began teaching him, Raditz, and Selari. At the Royal Palace, Bardock learned King Vegeta planned to seize Planet Kanassa and eventually challenge Frieza, while Vegeta was set to lead an invasion of Planet Rump.

  • Talot decided to use Bardock's upcoming guidance to begin putting his plan into action and fell asleep after meditating.
  • Bardock taught Talot, Raditz, and Selari basic strength control and breathing techniques during a two-hour training session.
  • Talot stayed behind to help Selari understand the techniques, and she made progress under his instruction.
  • Bardock told King Vegeta about his mission to Cyril Star, and King Vegeta suppressed his anger at Frieza before planning a retaliatory gift.
  • King Vegeta ordered Bardock to investigate Frieza's interest in Planet Kanassa and revealed that he would gather Elite Warriors to support his plans.
  • King Vegeta said Vegeta would lead a squad to invade Planet Rump in a week and assured Bardock that his son would be protected.

Ch. 14A Father-and-Son Talk, Bardock's Request

King Vegeta viewed Bardock’s growing influence as a threat, while Bardock prepared Raditz for his upcoming mission with Prince Vegeta and entrusted his family’s future to him. The chapter ended with father and son parting after an unusually candid talk.

  • King Vegeta concealed his killing intent toward Bardock and resolved to settle matters after dealing with Frieza and claiming the throne.
  • Bardock found Raditz training with Vegeta and arranged for Raditz to take several days off before the prince’s unit departed for Planet Rump.
  • Vegeta rebuked two superior warriors for insulting Bardock and called their gossip useless.
  • Bardock told Raditz that he would leave on another mission a few days after Raditz departed with Vegeta in seven days.
  • Bardock spoke earnestly to Raditz about the harshness of Saiyan life and said Raditz would have to endure greater pressure as his son.
  • Bardock asked Raditz to look after Gine, his younger brother, and Talot if Bardock was no longer around.

Ch. 15Take Selari Along!

Bardock arranged seven days of intensive training for Talot and Selari before their upcoming expeditions, while Raditz set off to train on his own. Talot asked to bring Selari on his mission, and Bardock agreed to help him file the application and buy a spaceship, leaving Talot owing him double the loan.

  • Raditz accepted Bardock's request to take responsibility for the family.
  • Bardock praised Talot and Selari's training progress and scheduled seven days of instruction and combat practice.
  • Talot learned that Raditz and Prince Vegeta would leave for Planet Rump in seven days and Bardock would go to Planet Kanassa in ten.
  • Talot asked Bardock to let him bring two Low-Class Warriors on his expedition, and Bardock explained the Merit Point costs and penalties.
  • Talot said he wanted Selari on his team, and Bardock agreed to help file the application and lend him Merit Points for a spaceship, demanding double repayment.

Ch. 16Seven Days Later, Raditz Departs

After seven days of training, Raditz left Planet Vegeta to report to the Royal Palace, while Talot and Selari prepared for their own mission. Talot left his plans for bringing Gine along undecided and continued stocking their spaceship with supplies.

  • Bardock's training raised Selari's Battle Power from 180 to 240 and Raditz's from 550 to 580, while Talot revealed more of his concealed strength.
  • Raditz said goodbye to Gine, Selari, and Talot, promising Talot that they would have a proper fight when they met again.
  • Talot and Selari went to Market Town to buy supplies using the Merit Points Bardock had lent him and to prepare their Medium-sized Spaceship.
  • Talot told Selari he hoped Gine would accompany them to Aoyun Planet, but said the decision was uncertain and asked her not to tell Gine yet.

Ch. 17Night Falls, Kakarot Departs

After Bardock sent Kakarot away in a Small Single-Person Spaceship, he told Talot that Frieza might attack the Saiyans and ordered him to leave Planet Vegeta with Selari. Bardock also decided that Gine should go with Talot, while he remained behind.

  • Talot recalled buying Saibaman Seeds and other supplies with Merit Points, and remembered Bardock warning him not to flaunt his wealth.
  • Talot spent the afternoon with Gine and the newly emerged Kakarot, postponing his plan to ask Gine to join him on a mission.
  • Bardock returned late with a Small Single-Person Spaceship, and the family saw Kakarot off beneath the night sky.
  • Bardock told Talot that Frieza was likely to move against the Saiyans and gave him two days to prepare to leave Planet Vegeta with Selari.
  • Bardock told Gine to leave with Talot as well, while insisting that his Battle Power would keep him safe.

Ch. 18Frieza: My Battle Power is 530,000

Talot reflected on Frieza’s overwhelming power as Bardock prepared to send Gine and Talot away for their safety. Meanwhile, Vegeta’s squad traveled toward Planet Rump, unaware that the mission would cost some of its members their lives.

  • Talot considered how Frieza’s Battle Power of 530,000 dwarfed the Saiyans’ strength, and recalled that Frieza would become far stronger later.
  • Bardock refused Gine and Talot’s wish to stay and help, deciding they would leave in two days so they would not burden him.
  • Gine prayed that Raditz and Kakarot’s first space voyage would go smoothly, and Bardock promised to retrieve Kakarot after the danger passed.
  • The Vegeta Elite Squad traveled through space toward Planet Rump, where Nappa told Vegeta the mission could serve as training.
  • Raditz described the Universe as a bottomless abyss and explained to Vegeta that Talot was an Elite Warrior who lived next door to his family.

Ch. 19Plot Advancement! God of Destruction and Frieza

Kakarot’s spaceship left Planet Vegeta as Beerus and Whis traveled to meet Frieza, intending to discuss his growing power and role as a God of Destruction’s agent. Beerus and Whis appeared silently behind Frieza aboard his battleship.

  • Kakarot’s life-support-equipped spaceship sped away from Planet Vegeta toward Earth.
  • Beerus complained to Whis that the food he had found was terrible and gave up searching for better cuisine.
  • Beerus told Whis he wanted to meet Frieza, both to keep him in check and because he considered appointing him a God of Destruction’s agent.
  • Frieza praised the Saiyans for conquering planets and planned to visit Planet Vegeta to reward them after their current mission.
  • Beerus and Whis suddenly appeared behind Frieza in his command room, unnoticed by him and his two subordinates.

Ch. 20Beerus's Command! The Extermination of the Saiyan Race

Beerus visited Frieza aboard his spaceship and appointed him as his agent to destroy planets during Beerus’s coming slumber. Beerus then ordered Frieza to exterminate the Saiyans and destroy Planet Vegeta, leaving Frieza with approval to carry out the plan.

  • Beerus entered Frieza’s spaceship, and Frieza knelt and apologized when he recognized the God of Destruction.
  • Beerus told Frieza he would serve as his temporary agent while Beerus slept, and Frieza eagerly accepted the authority.
  • Beerus warned Frieza not to abuse his authority or he would destroy him when he awoke.
  • Beerus asked Frieza about his plans concerning the Saiyans, and Frieza admitted he was investigating the Super Saiyan legend.
  • Beerus ordered Frieza to eliminate the Saiyan race and destroy Planet Vegeta.
