Background / History

Chen Yi was born to a peasant family in Luoding Village, Baiyun County. When mysterious attackers massacred the village, he lost his family and survived only because Dachun pulled him into the Qinghe River. He later became a laborer under the Black Stone Gang, enduring abuse while unable to cultivate due to having no Root Bone 1.

At eighteen, Chen Yi had drawn only White Entries for seventeen consecutive years. His Mythic Entry, Simulator, became the means by which he could repeatedly experience possible futures, inherit selected gains, and overcome his poor initial aptitude 1 24.

Chen Yi's search for a cultivation master led him through repeatedly massacred villages and to Lingfeng Pavilion, where he obtained the Spirit Gathering Pill that enabled his first breakthrough. In one simulated future, Old Liu was exposed as the person responsible for manipulating Chen Yi and orchestrating the massacres he encountered 18.

He infiltrated the Black Stone Gang, then turned on it after gaining enough strength. He slaughtered gang members involved in enslaving laborers and feeding people to the Demon Race, eventually defeating its leader Shi San with Burning Cloud Hand 25 27.

Chen Yi later joined the Crimson Heart Sect as a Patrol Member, investigated its ancient tower, and became increasingly entangled with the Shen Family, the Xiaoyao Holy Land, the Human World's Dao Protectors, and the Dragon Person Race 33 95 214.

Following his rise to Martial King, Martial Saint, and Martial God, Chen Yi united forces across the Human World against existential threats. He led the struggle for the Ascension Path, subdued the Five Great City Lords behind Blood Moon, and became the Human World's Guardian after inheriting the Earth Spirit's technique from Hua Wuyan 254 302 332 452.

He ultimately ascended toward the Real Realm, where humans were oppressed by other races and his aptitude was judged as anomalous: exceptionally fortunate but lacking an Immortal Root, special physique, or special soul 340 349.

Personality

Chen Yi is pragmatic, ambitious, and highly adaptive. He treats simulations as opportunities to test dangerous choices, acquire knowledge, and prepare for threats before they emerge in reality. He regularly adjusts his Entries to fit immediate goals, whether cultivation, infiltration, combat, or survival 33 202 254 365.

He can be ruthless toward oppressors and hostile races, showing no mercy to the Black Stone Gang or Dragon Person strongholds. At the same time, he protects people he considers his own, supports his family, helps Li Chengqian without demanding repayment, and takes responsibility for the Human World's future 25 74 199 338.

Chen Yi is also opportunistic and mischievous. He exploits Long Yang and other wealthy heirs by selling them access to a Martial King breakthrough that had already been arranged, then uses the proceeds to replenish his resources 254.

Although he is capable of overwhelming force, Chen Yi often favors strategic intimidation, intelligence gathering, and negotiated coercion over indiscriminate slaughter. In the Wing World, he pressured its Guardian and Furry God for access to the Earth Spirit while deliberately avoiding the deaths of ordinary Winged Race cultivators 456.
