Though he knew Bibi Dong had killed Qian Xunji, he remained silent out of guilt toward her and consideration for Qian Renxue. 59 61

Chen Ming's Douluo Mental Method brings Qian Daoliu back into public affairs. Seeing both the method's value and Chen Ming's vulnerability, he orders Qian Jun and Falling Devil Douluo to bring Chen Ming to Martial Soul Hall, intending to publicly place the boy under his protection. 61

Qian Daoliu's branch of the Angel Lineage maintains the stable inheritance of the Six-Winged Angel, with at least one such spirit master appearing in each generation. Other branches have gradually declined toward Four-Winged and Two-Winged Angels, making Qian Renfeng's later evolution particularly significant to him. 113

He protects exceptional talent rather than treating it as a resource to seize. His decision to shelter Chen Ming is partly driven by regret over his own failures and a desire to prevent others from destroying a genius they cannot control. 61

Despite his power, Qian Daoliu is principled and notably magnanimous. When Chen Ming reveals his contact with a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast and possession of a Blue Silver Emperor seed, Qian Daoliu warns him of the risks without seeking either treasure for himself. He also considers the debt between Martial Soul Hall and the Clear Sky Sect settled by Ah Yin's death. 151

Carrying the Angel Holy Sword as a safeguard, he agrees to protect Chen Ming while observing a transformed soul beast's ring condensation and considering a journey to Sea God Island. His initial concern that the request might amount to taking a God-bestowed Spirit Ring by force disappears when Chen Ming explains the Sea God's favorable recognition through the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud. 270

Spirit Ring Research and Overseas Journey

Qian Daoliu witnesses Xiao Wu condensing her fourth Spirit Ring after Chen Ming reassures her that he will not covet her Hundred-Thousand-Year ring or bones. On Sea God Island, Qian Daoliu formally reunites with Bo Saixi and introduces Chen Ming as Golden Crocodile Douluo's disciple and a once-in-ten-thousand-years genius whose talent may rival the Angel God's. He hopes that Chen Ming's possible inheritance of the Sea God's position could unite Sea God Island and Martial Soul Hall, particularly through a future marriage to Qian Renxue. 270 276

Chen Ming's Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud summons the Sea God's Trident and divine sense, confirming his previous contact with the deity. Qian Daoliu is unsettled by Sea God's casual manner, which differs sharply from his expectations of divine majesty. 276 277

Qian Daoliu and Chen Ming subsequently cooperate in eliminating an Evil Spirit Orca group. His angelic sword qi kills multiple Ten-Thousand-Year beasts, while Chen Ming forces a fleeing Hundred-Thousand-Year orca back to the surface and kills it. Pursuit of Bibi Dong and Tang Chen's Recovery

During a lightning tribulation within Martial Soul Hall, Qian Daoliu orders the High Priests to intercept intruders. Bibi Dong disregards their warnings and attacks them, believing a treasure within the tribulation can help complete her God Trial.
