Clear Sky Twin

Tang Xiao and his younger brother Tang Hao left the Clear Sky Sect to gain experience, becoming widely known as the Clear Sky Twins. Their strength continued to grow through training and the acquisition of Ten Thousand Year Soul Bones. 17 51

During another expedition to the Far North, Tang Xiao insisted that their younger sister, Tang Yuehua, accompany him and Tang Hao despite Tang Hao considering her a burden. When Tang Hao intruded upon Martial Soul Hall’s soul-beast hunt and was critically injured, Tang Xiao attempted to save him, swore an oath to compensate Martial Soul Hall, and rushed him to Tiandou City for treatment. 56 58 60

Tang Xiao’s focus on Tang Hao’s injuries caused him to leave Tang Yuehua behind. Her subsequent disappearance, trafficking, and loss of speech became a source of guilt and anger for him. 60 90

Break with Tang Hao

After Tang Xiao forcibly brought Tang Yuehua back to the Clear Sky Sect, she treated him with suspicion rather than affection, believing the sect only wanted to exploit her value. 89

Tang Hao’s paranoia eventually turned the brothers against each other. Tang Xiao rejected Tang Hao’s accusations that he had plotted against him, then fought him when reconciliation became impossible. 90 101

Tang Xiao won by enduring Tang Hao’s assault, accumulating momentum through the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer, and striking with his Martial Soul Avatar at the decisive moment. He initially chose to spare Tang Hao, though he sought to expel him from the sect and reclaim his spirit bones for the sect’s benefit. 102

Sect Master and the Xiao Wu Incident

As Clear Sky Sect Master, Tang Xiao sought to rebuild the sect’s strength against Spirit Hall. He attempted to bring Tang Hao back into the sect, both to reconcile with him and to add another Title Douluo to the sect’s forces. 200

While hunting in the Star Dou Forest, Tang Xiao witnessed Xiao Wu communicating with soul beasts and suspected that she was a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast in human form. He tested the suspicion by attacking, then hesitated after Xiao Wu identified herself as Tang Hao’s wife. 201

Tang Xiao ultimately allowed the Second Elder to pursue the potential Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast, judging that the sect’s interests outweighed intervention. Xiao Wu sacrificed herself to a Breaking Clan disciple before the Clear Sky Sect could claim her directly. 202

Slaughter City and Death

Following repeated victories over Tang Hao and his rise in strength, Tang Xiao’s ambitions expanded beyond the Clear Sky Sect. Learning that Tang Chen was in Slaughter City, he entered the city seeking his grandfather and the Divine Slaughter’s Domain. 227

Tang Hao arrived shortly afterward. In Slaughter City, where Tang Xiao’s soul skills were restricted while Tang Hao could use his abilities as a God of Slaughter, their rivalry reached its end; Tang Hao killed Tang Xiao. 227

Personality

Tang Xiao is initially the more considerate and family-minded of the Clear Sky Twins. He protects Tang Yuehua, tries to save Tang Hao despite the danger, and is deeply frustrated when Tang Hao dismisses the sacrifices made for his recovery. 56 58 90

He is also pragmatic and strategically minded. Rather than trying to overpower Tang Hao directly, he adopted a balanced combat path built around defense, maneuverability, and exploiting openings. This approach allowed him to defeat his better-equipped brother. 101 102

As his power and victories increased, Tang Xiao became more ambitious and willing to prioritize the Clear Sky Sect’s interests over personal morality. His decision to pursue Xiao Wu’s suspected soul ring and bone, as well as his desire to enter Slaughter City, reflect this shift. 202 227
