Danzo

Tsunade was in her office reading medical books on how to repair human tendons. She rubbed her brow. She had to raise the success rate a little more.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. "Come in!"

"You're Uzumaki Reikawa?" Tsunade set down her book for the moment and looked at Uchiha Gen, puzzled. Why did that face seem vaguely familiar?

Tsunade walked over and casually patted his shoulder. "I heard you know one or two ninjutsu. What are they?"

There was nothing wrong with the flow of his chakra, but this kid's constitution seemed somewhat cold. Her fingertips moved slightly, and a strand of hair fell into her palm.

"The Four Symbols Seal and Adamantine Sealing Chains." Uchiha Gen answered honestly, directly revealing the two abilities he had just acquired.

"Adamantine Sealing Chains?!" Tsunade was somewhat surprised. Even among the Uzumaki Clan, few could master it. If Reikawa knew this ninjutsu, then there was a high chance he had not been sent by another country.

After all, anyone capable of strongly controlling a Tailed Beast while remaining emotionally stable was an invaluable asset to any nation. Using such a person as a spy would be far too costly.

It seemed she had to send someone to investigate Kusagakure as soon as possible. If he could use Adamantine Sealing Chains, the range of possibilities narrowed considerably. He should be from the main family! Perhaps they could follow the trail and rescue some more clan members.

"Can you demonstrate it?"

Uchiha Gen nodded. Several golden chains slowly extended from behind his back, but they all hung downward, indicating that they posed no threat.

Feeling the chakra fluctuations, Tsunade nodded. "That's enough. Put them away."

After basically confirming Uchiha Gen's identity, Tsunade asked, "Other than those two ninjutsu, do you know nothing else? Why did you only return to Konoha now?"

Uchiha Gen fell silent for a moment. A faint sorrow appeared on his face, as though he were recalling the past. "Because my mother didn't want me to become a ninja. But as her health worsened by the day, she still taught me some basics so I could protect myself. However, she died only a few days after teaching me. She died of illness."

Uchiha Gen paused, then continued, "As for why I only returned to Konoha now, before she passed away, Mother looked at me and muttered to herself, 'Weren't Konoha and the Uzumaki Clan allies?' Back then, I wondered, if we were allies, why didn't Konoha save Mother and me?"

"Only recently did I come to terms with it. There were probably difficulties on all sides. When I was young, I searched through the books Mother left behind in order to protect myself, but I only found these two ninjutsu." Uchiha Gen's expression was calm as he spoke, as though voicing his worries had finally put him at ease.

Tsunade's expression stiffened slightly. "...I'm sorry."

Uchiha Gen shook his head. "It's not your fault."

"Konoha is being rebuilt, so there may not be any spare rooms for the time being. Can you accept living with someone else?"

"I can."

After dismissing Uchiha Gen, Tsunade held the red strand of hair in her hand and pondered something.

Following behind the Anbu assigned to lead him, Uchiha Gen guessed who he would be living with. Well, whoever it was, he hoped they would be easy to fool.

When he arrived at his destination, he saw that gravity-defying silver hair and that charming... well, he could not see the man's face.

The corner of Uchiha Gen's mouth twitched. This was unexpected, yet perfectly reasonable.

When Kakashi saw Uchiha Gen, he greeted him first. "Hello, I'm Hatake Kakashi."

"Uzumaki Reikawa. I'll be in your care for a while~" Well, perhaps he would not be troubling him for too long.

Uchiha Gen bowed politely.

Kakashi waved his hand. "It's fine. Your room is over there." Although Kakashi found it a little troublesome, his house was large enough anyway. He could treat it as having another neighbor.

Besides, this person was from the same clan as his sensei's wife... Placing him in his home also made it easier to keep an eye on him. Judging by how polite he was, he should be fairly easy to handle.

"You're really from the Uzumaki Clan? Why is your hair yellow?"

"My name is Naruto Uzumaki, and I stand by it!"

"You're just making that up." Uchiha Gen looked unconvinced.

"Y-you...! I could say you're not from the Uzumaki Clan either! Your hair isn't yellow!"

Kakashi rubbed his forehead. He had no idea when they had run into Naruto and the others, but the moment they met, they started arguing.

Uchiha Gen wore a proud expression as he explained why Uzumaki Clan members all had red hair, and he also mentioned the clan's astonishing chakra reserves.

Naruto suddenly seized on the key point. "!You mean one of my parents had red hair?"

"If your surname is real, then one of them must have had red hair. Besides, how much chakra could a brat like you possibly have?"

Red hair, the Fourth Hokage... Sasuke considered the information he had learned in silence. By now, he already regarded Naruto as his equal.

No one who became Hokage was weak. As their descendant, even if Naruto was useless, he could not be that bad. Sasuke only wondered whether he should tell Naruto this information. Why had Konoha kept this hidden from Naruto all this time, if he was the child of a hero?

Meanwhile, Orochimaru was somewhat bewildered after receiving this information. A living Uchiha? Although he had concealed Uchiha Gen's identity as a Reanimated Body, had even Jiraiya failed to notice?

Interesting! Too interesting! Uchiha Gen, should he have directly used a technique to control him back then? Such an interesting person had actually slipped away from him.

Back on Uchiha Gen's side, after parting with Naruto, he was in a good mood. He had secretly learned the Multi Shadow Clone Technique, and even more delightfully, someone had set their sights on him. Though saying that sounded a little strange.

"Uzumaki Reikawa, Lord Hokage wants to see you."

Uchiha Gen smiled brightly. "Alright, I'm coming."

Seeing Uchiha Gen's reaction, a question mark slowly appeared above the Root ninja's head. Was he really this happy about being summoned by the Hokage? Unfortunately, he was not being taken to the Hokage.

Suddenly, the Root ninja sensed that something was wrong, only to see Uzumaki Reikawa's eyes turn into Sharingan.

"Take me to see Danzo."

The Root ninja stood there blankly, slowly turned in another direction, and began leading the way.

After who knew how many twists and turns, they finally arrived before Danzo.

"Uzumaki Reikawa, are you willing to serve this old man?" Danzo was somewhat surprised that the Root ninja had actually brought Uzumaki Reikawa here. He had only intended to send someone to test him, yet the man had truly managed to bring Reikawa from right under Kakashi's nose.

Uchiha Gen silently gave thanks to himself.

After speaking, Danzo said to the Root ninja, "You may withdraw first." Yet the ninja immediately collapsed to the floor.

"!" Danzo was startled. The Uzumaki Reikawa before him had somehow turned into a strange figure wearing a white mask.

Making his decision at once, Danzo formed hand seals. Wind Release: Vacuum Wave!

The wind blade shot forward, but the white-masked figure vanished. Danzo frowned deeply. Who wanted to make a move against this old man? That woman Tsunade did not have the nerve. Then he suddenly recalled the organization that had recently emerged. Could it be Akatsuki?
