Qian Daoliu is Spirit Hall’s Great Worship and the father of Pope Qian Xunji. Though he leaves the management of Spirit Hall to his son, he supports Qian Xunji’s decision to undertake the Angel Trials and oversees his advancement. 78 82

When Qian Xunji reveals that Yu Changge’s Soul Core theory enabled his breakthrough to Rank 90, Qian Daoliu personally examines the Sacred Soul Core in his son’s dantian. Recognizing its potential to solve the endurance problem of high-level soul masters, he becomes deeply interested in Yu Changge and grants Qian Xunji a God-Bestowed Soul Ring. 106 107

After Yu Changge explains the Soul Core method to the Worship Hall, Qian Daoliu agrees to support him and promises not to harm the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. Qian Daoliu spars with Qian Xunji after his son gains a hundred-thousand-year ninth soul ring. He counters Qian Xunji’s temporary peerless-level God of Angels transformation with Angel’s Descent and Angel’s Judgment, ending their strongest clash in a draw while Qian Xunji’s transformation lasts. Qian Daoliu secretly holds back some power at the end and praises his son’s achievement. 107 108

Rivalry with Tang Chen

Qian Daoliu is Tang Chen’s long-standing rival. Both are Rank 99 Peerless Douluo, though Tang Chen holds a slight advantage when using Ring Detonation and the Great Sumeru Hammer. 33 112

After forming the Holy Soul Core, Qian Daoliu spars with Tang Chen again. His vastly improved Soul Power endurance allows him to sustain repeated high-consumption skills without a noticeable decline in aura, leaving Tang Chen unable to explain his advantage. 131 132

Qian Daoliu serves as the final opponent for Qian Xunji’s Sixth Angel Trial, whose objective is to defeat him. He greatly restricts himself by forgoing soul skills and relying only on an Angel’s Holy Sword condensed from Divine Power, while Qian Xunji is likewise barred from using his Martial Soul Avatar and Angel Domain. 203

His aura draws Bear Lord from the Lake of Life. Qian Daoliu defeats the 460,000-year Darkgolden Terrorclaw Bear using Angel Roar, Angel Light Blade, Angel’s Blessing, the Angel’s Holy Sword, and Angel Avatar, while still holding back much of his strength. 208 209

Di Tian’s arrival causes Qian Daoliu to reassess the dangers hidden in the core region. Afterward, he decides to accelerate Qian Xunji’s training in preparation for future threats. 210 211

Slaughter City Approach

Qian Daoliu escorts Yu Changge, Yue Guan, and Gui Mei to the entrance of Slaughter City. He refuses the tavern’s requirement that they drink Bloody Mary, destroying the offered cups and incapacitating the waiters who attempt to enforce the demand. 212

He later explains that Spirit Hall treats Slaughter City as a controlled prison for Fallen Ones: offenders are either executed or forced into the city, preventing their unrestricted return to the outside world. He also considers it a possible divine inheritance site and judges that destroying it could provoke the god behind it. 214

Sea God Island Expedition

Qian Daoliu accompanies Tang Chen and their younger companions to Sea God Island in search of divine trials. When Bo Saixi refuses to open the Sea God’s Seven Sacred Pillars to land Soul Masters, he challenges her to establish the group’s right to attempt the assessments. 263

He battles Bo Saixi in the air above the sea, matching her Sea God’s Descent with Angel’s Descent. Their fight lasts fifteen minutes as both continuously replenish their strength, though Qian Daoliu conceals that his endurance comes from his dual Soul Cores.
