Nature and Structure

The Abyss is a vast demonic world historically composed of countless fragmented planes rather than a single conventional plane. It is the homeland of demons, whose bodies and bloodlines cannot properly grow on Material World food alone. 14 21

Individual Abyssal Planes are generally floating continental remnants piled together from destroyed planes. They lack World Crystal Walls, contain thin and violent elemental energy, and usually cannot support ordinary flora or fauna; demons that cannot invade other worlds often survive through mutual slaughter. 184 322

Following the Wizard Black Tower's invasion of the Abyssal Core, the Abyssal Demon Gods began consolidating its planes. The former layered continents converged around the core Heaven Realm, eventually forming a giant jet-black planet whose shallow layers no longer receive sunlight. 367

• Demons are extraordinary creatures whose inherited bloodlines can contain racial knowledge, languages, codices, and runes. 19 20
• Demons possess physical bodies in the Abyss; Demon Bloodline descendants in the Material World instead rely on crystal cores. 23

Abyssal Will and Passage

Abyssal Will

Before its refinement into the Heavenly Demon Realm Consciousness, the Abyssal Will was an immense, emotionless system associated with demon prayers, bloodlines, and Abyssal resources. It possessed no independent consciousness, instead operating according to the underlying logic established during its refinement. 45 201

During the Monkey Quasits' collective prayer, it examined their bodies and bloodlines before granting them a Bloodline Origin Crystal. 45

• The Will is described as never refusing a demon's prayer. 45
• It holds the greater share of the Monkey Quasit ancestral blood-source rune created from the Quasits' Bloodline Origin Crystal. 47
• It forbids Soul Crystals—considered strategic Abyssal resources—from being transported out through Abyssal Summoning. 48
• Before the Abyssal Core crisis, it blanketed every Abyssal plane and monitored Abyssal demons. 201
• It can manifest projections, including a blurry human face that warned Yin Ming to leave the Abyssal Plane while Beelzebub pursued him. 201
• At the Abyssal Core, the Will manifested as a gigantic eye totem. Its confrontation with the All-Knowing Eye created an informational blind zone that concealed the Wizard Black Tower's assault force. 322 323
• The Heaven Realm Core was the former vessel of the Abyssal Will, capable of carrying virtually limitless information; it was seized by the Wizard Black Tower during the invasion of the Abyssal Core. 336
• Yuan later revealed the Will's foundational data to Yin Ming, including Demon Kin desire-perception and the process through which souls are digested into Soul Crystals. 400

Heavenly Demon Realm Consciousness

The Heavenly Demon Realm Consciousness is the successor system created by reforging the Abyssal Will during the Dark Plane's transformation into the Heavenly Demon Realm. Yuan supplied the Abyssal Will's data and Demon desire network, while Yin Ming contributed Humanity's Karmic Fire, the Undead Kin, and the Four-Forms Eight-Phase Thought Model. 400

• Its authority is deliberately divided among four parties: Yuan holds 40%, Yin Ming holds 30%, Wuxiang Watson holds 20%, and the Mother of All Snakes holds 10%. 400
• The division prevents any single holder from becoming a dictator without forming a coalition. 400
• Its refinement required the fusion of the Abyss and Hell Realm into White Bone Island, with Yin Ming's undead serving as energy and infrastructure for the new system. 401
• The system remains under development and requires long-term accumulation, much like the Omnipotent Eye's evolution toward Heavenly Dao. 401
• It governs and supports the proliferation of Heavenly Demons, whose desires and souls are intended to establish a self-circulating supernatural system. 400 409

Abyssal Sacrifice and Summoning

• Abyssal Sacrifice — The Abyss accepts sacrifices, though only genuine treasures receive corresponding recompense. Demons may return home through self-sacrifice; for other races, the offered sacrifice is genuinely consumed. 21
• Abyssal Summoning — Can call Abyssal demons through a rune and an aura-bearing medium, but a summoner without suitable terms risks being killed by the summoned demon. 20
• A refused targeted summoning may become random; even a Zero-Ring summoning can potentially contact a demon king. 49
• Abyssal Sacrifices can be used by demons to exceed normal bloodline limits, though the accepting Demon God may also alter the sacrificer's bloodline. 325
• The Abyss later offered Evil Gods formal exchange channels through Abyssal Sacrifice, promising requested Abyssal resources rather than its former practice of arbitrarily robbing non-demon bloodlines. 339

Inhabitants and Influence

• Quasits — First-Ring demonic beasts from the Abyss. They are naturally cautious, cowardly, and specialized in hiding and fleeing rather than direct combat. 14 23
• Quasit Bloodline descendants — Parasitize humans, manipulate hosts' emotions, and drive murders to produce chaotic souls for Quasit consumption. 14 16
• Monkey Quasits — Artificial Quasits created from macaques through Yin Ming's Bloodline Potion. A total of 962 were sent into the Abyss to acquire Soul Crystals. 19 46
• Red Nose — A Monkey Quasit released into the Abyss by Yin Ming; later becomes an overseer at a Soul Crystal mine and reveals the Beck Subplane as an alternative to dangerous summoning-based trade. 21 46 49
• Red Nose later invested in Abyss Publishing, which distributed the Abyss Survival Manual throughout demon cities. After its profits became too large to protect, it pledged allegiance to Demon King Pasdi. 282
• Red Eighteen — A Quasit subordinate of the war demon Romance who confirms Beck's existence after Yin Ming summons him using Red Nose's blood. 49
• Red Six — A Monkey Quasit formerly known to Yin Ming who later openly serves Dinaya Aman, demonstrating either its broken will or concealed disloyalty. 52

• Demon King Quentin Moss — A Fourth-Ring Demon King who confronted Yin Ming in Beck after suspecting him of killing Aman, then retreated upon seeing a Seventh-Ring Undead Skeleton. 201
• Dinaya Aman — A succubus operating between the Abyss and Material World; she reports the death of the Quasit Jeroffi and the exposure of a demon altar. 24
• Aman later attempted to identify and capture Yin Ming through memories associated with Red Nose and a tainted Beck invitation, but captured Anthony Silvercoin as a decoy instead. 52
• Mirror Demon — An Abyssal Demon God who attempted to recruit Undying Xuanming into the Abyss during the Wizard Black Tower's covert attack on the Abyssal Core. 322
• Yuan — A Ninth-Ring Abyssal supreme being and ruler of the Abyss Heaven Realm. He initially sought to recruit Yin Ming as a Demon God before forming a transactional alliance with him against the Wizard Black Tower. 372 399

Presence in the Material World

Quasit descendants entered the Material World to infest human hosts and harvest souls created by murder. Their hosts included stewards across Count Golden Lion's territory, where they used exploitation and killings to generate suitable souls. 14 16

• A demon altar beneath Count Golden Lion's castle served as a hidden Abyssal coordinate and passageway; numerous demons had already descended and concealed themselves in the Material World. 24
• The death of a Quasit stationed in the Material World alerted Abyssal forces to the altar's compromise and the risk of a human wizard purge. 24
• Large-scale Abyssal Sacrifices produce detectable Abyssal Will fluctuations, prompting investigation by the Wizard Black Tower. 46
• During the later conflict with the Wizard Black Tower, the Abyss invaded multiple external planes. A Seventh-Ring Demon God destroyed the Wizard Black Tower on the Kelk Plane, while other Abyssal invasions triggered prolonged interplanar wars. 330
• The Abyss publicly revealed the Wizard Black Tower's Heavenly Dao plan after suffering major losses at the Abyssal Core, seeking to unite Evil Gods and other factions against the Black Tower. 338 339

Soul Crystals

Soul Crystals are Abyssal minerals consumed by demons and used by Yin Ming to enhance mental power or bargain for the release of Soulstones. 14 21

• High-quality Soul Crystals are demon food; prolonged consumption of cloudy crystals can cause degeneration, loss of control, and madness. 21
• Red Nose and other Monkey Quasits were promised the return of their Soulstones in exchange for 10,000 Soul Crystals each. 21 45
• Although Quasits can mine or earn Soul Crystals in the Abyss, the Abyssal Will's export restriction prevents them from delivering the crystals through normal summoning. 48
• Souls are among the Abyssal Will's core inputs for producing Soul Crystals, a process Yuan disclosed while helping construct the Heavenly Demon Realm Consciousness. 400
• Demon corpses from Abyssal battlefields can contain Soul Crystals, allowing Yin Ming to extract the crystals before returning the remains to the battlefield plane. 191

Abyssal Warfare and Resources

The Abyss uses recurring wars to cull its demon population, select stronger survivors, and distribute rare resources. The Bixipu Plane, which wanders along the Abyss's edge, hosts a small Abyss war every ten years and a large one every hundred years. 191

• Participating demon races must sustain sufficient casualties before they may leave a Bixipu war. If a conflict lacks enough participants, the Abyssal Will may designate races to take part. 191
• Killing a participant in an Abyss war can produce a World Origin Crystal, a plane-core resource that can be sacrificed to the Abyssal Will or an ancestral progenitor for a chance to exceed one's rank limit. 191
• World Origin Crystals can substitute for Starmithril Mercury in External Cores and can advance the Formless Tree. 192
• Excessive extraction of World Origin Crystals shortens the lifespan of the plane from which they originate. 191
• Corpses of demons killed in a Bixipu war must remain on the plane's land; the consequences of removing them are remembered only as something exceedingly terrifying. 191
• The Abyssal Core fragments produced during the Wizard Black Tower's assault contained World Origin Crystals, Soul Crystals, transformed Abyssal elemental energy, and other extraordinary materials. 327
• Within an Abyss Heaven Realm environment, Abyss-system descendants and Magic Plants can naturally grow to the Sixth Ring without Law Fragment auras, while the completed metamorphosis would have raised that limit to the Seventh Ring. 327

Beck Subplane

Beck is an Abyss-owned neutral trading subplane, approximately half the size of the Landon Duchy. It has no native inhabitants and exists solely for extraordinary beings to exchange goods. 49

• It opens on every New Moon Night. 49 50
• Demons may enter freely, while wizards, warlocks, and Magic Beasts require a Beck Subplane Invitation. 49
• Fighting, hunting, and killing are forbidden regardless of race or prior enmity. 49
• Though it belongs to the Abyss, Beck is not shrouded by the Abyssal Will. 49
• Yin Ming enters Beck using an invitation sphere after disguising both his body and magical aura. 50
• Bonewood Tower hosts an auction after each New Moon Night. Traders must exchange goods and knowledge for non-refundable Abyss Points, and it is the only known location in Beck that sells Soul Crystals. 52
• The subplane's markets specialize in Abyssal goods, including extraordinary bloodlines, Abyssal Lava Metal, demon-lord bones, and materials for Bloodline Potions. 52
• Dinaya Aman used a tainted invitation associated with Beck to track or manipulate Yin Ming's arrival, causing him to abandon Red Nose, the Soulstones, and the promised Soul Crystals rather than expose himself. 52
• Yin Ming later used a special teleportation sphere taken from Aman to escape into Beck while fleeing Beelzebub's pursuit through the Abyss. 201

Relationship with Yin Ming

Yin Ming's relationship with the Abyss began as a hostile but exploitative one: he rejected demonic sacrifice, created and sent Monkey Quasits into the Abyss for Soul Crystals, and repeatedly treated demons as sources of cultivation resources. 14 46 191

• His killing of battlefield demons, extraction of Abyssal resources, and role in bringing Beelzebub into the Abyss placed him on the Abyss's priority wanted list. 202 317
• During the Wizard Black Tower's covert operation against the Abyssal Core, Yin Ming served as bait through a Bone Puppet while the other pseudo-gods raided shallow planes. 322
• He exploited the resulting chaos to acquire Abyssal Core fragments, confirm the Abyss Heaven Realm project, and advance his Eight-Phase Thought Model. 324 326 327
• Yuan later approached him as Undying Xuanming, offering Eighth- and Ninth-Ring knowledge in exchange for future support against the Wizard Black Tower. Yin Ming accepted the transaction but refused formal membership in the Abyss. 372
