| Legilimency — Four Deductions | 93 94 | Makes Legilimency wandless and nonverbal, enables lie detection and identification of mental weaknesses, and creates Mirror of Reincarnation to cycle through a target’s memories. |
| Occlumency — Third and Fourth Deductions | 98 | Unlocks Mental Simulation and Knowledge Deduction, allowing Charle to simulate understood subjects and conduct limited mental-world deductions at the cost of mental power. |
| Hellhound magic integration | 111 | Analyzes reverted Three-Headed Dog bloodline magic and confirms Hellhound as Charle’s second Magical Animagus transformation; reduces or waives costs for early Dark Magic deductions. |
| Mass Dark Magic deductions | 114 | Performs three deductions on every Dark spell Charle knows, improving stability, removing mental backlash, and pushing their effects to more extreme forms. |
| Killing Curse — Fourth Deduction | 115 | Creates the Chain Killing Curse, combining Time-Space Marks, Death Wither, and the Killing Curse into a self-sustaining chained attack. |
Background / History
Deep Blue was already in Charle’s possession during his early life, but its potential became clear when it recycled Dak’s Sublimation Potion into nearly ten thousand Evolution Points—an amount comparable to Charle’s prior ten-year total. This event led Charle to determine that the system values magical content rather than simple rarity. 3
When Dak taught Charle Lumos, Deep Blue identified it as “trainable knowledge.” Under Charle’s direction, it began transforming ordinary spells into increasingly lethal derivatives, establishing the system as the foundation of his rapid magical growth. 3 4
By Charle’s fourth deduction of Occlumency, its derived functions—Memory Palace, Mental Simulation, and Knowledge Deduction—resembled weakened versions of Deep Blue’s own abilities. Charle consequently suspects the system may be connected to an infinitely evolved form of Occlumency, but Deep Blue neither confirms nor denies this theory. 98
When asked about its origin, Deep Blue states that Charle must acquire more material concerning Wizarding World history and the essence of magic before it has authority to answer. 98
Abilities & Functions
Magical-Content Conversion
Deep Blue converts consumed magical matter into Evolution or Deduction Points, which fuel its training, analysis, and deduction functions. The amount gained depends on the object’s magical content.
- Dak’s Sublimation Potion yielded nearly ten thousand points. 3
- Dragon Blood, dragon organs, magical items, Dementors, and other magic-rich matter can provide substantial point gains. 40 49 71
- Freshness and magical density affect a material’s yield; fresh Ukrainian Ironbelly Dragon Blood retained particularly high value. 49
- Ordinary food provides only negligible points, while gold and old treasures provide more when they contain magical residue. 3
Knowledge Detection and Training
Deep Blue can identify knowledge available for training or deduction once Charle encounters it.
- It detected Lumos as “trainable knowledge” immediately after Charle learned its incantation and gestures. 3
- Training and deduction give Charle instinctive command of the resulting knowledge, rather than merely theoretical familiarity. 4 30
- Its processes are experienced by Charle as the accumulated practice, experimentation, and insight of innumerable parallel versions of himself. 4 5
- Charle must generally provide a deduction direction, such as lethality, restraint, speed, precision, or concealment. 4 12 19
Directed Deduction
Deep Blue can repeatedly evolve existing magic or knowledge into more specialized and powerful forms.
- A deduction’s point cost rises with the complexity and level of the subject; the Banishing Charm’s initial deduction costs 5,000 points, while Multiple Casting initially costs 150,000 points even after material-based reductions. 12 92
- Repeated deductions may branch from an earlier result instead of simply increasing raw power, as shown by the Lumos line’s offensive, concealment, detection, and defensive derivatives. 5 57 58
- The system can integrate several related principles into one result, such as Eternal Blazing Sun and the Chain Killing Curse. 5 115
- Deep Blue claims it can accomplish any deduction if supplied with sufficient Deduction Points. 42
Material Analysis
Deep Blue can analyze magical creatures, objects, spells, and acquired knowledge as deduction material.
- Relevant materials can significantly reduce the point cost of future deductions in the corresponding field. 27 82 94
- Dragon Blood analysis enabled Charle to complete Magical Animagus dragon transformation and identify a Dragon Language inheritance. 46 47
- Analysis of Three-Headed Dog bloodline magic identified its Hellhound reversion and enabled Charle to add Hellhound as a Magical Animagus form. 111
- Snape’s memories provided Deep Blue with extensive material on Dark Magic, Potions, Occlumency, Legilimency, and mental magic. 98
Mental-World Functions
After Deep Blue’s later Occlumency deductions, Charle gains limited abilities similar to the system’s core functions.
- Memory Palace — stores mastered knowledge permanently, protects it from Memory Charms, and strengthens Charle’s spirit as it expands. 79
- Mental Simulation — recreates understood people, events, magic, combat, potion brewing, and other subjects; fully stored knowledge can be simulated with complete accuracy. 98
- Knowledge Deduction — permits further deductions within Charle’s mental world using mental power rather than Deduction Points. 98
- These functions cannot yet handle magic on the level of Sun of No Light, Sacred Land, Only I Am the Honored God, Magical Animagus Transformation, or Dragon Language Magic. 98
Interface
Deep Blue communicates through concise, cold mechanical prompts in Charle’s mind. It provides deduction costs, requests confirmation or a development direction, announces completed results, and identifies newly acquired material. 4 12 46
It does not freely disclose information about its own origin; access to such answers is explicitly restricted by an authority requirement tied to historical and magical-essence material. 98
Relationships
- Charle Evans — Host and user. Charle named the Infinite Evolution System “Deep Blue,” directs its deductions, supplies it with materials, and relies on its results to develop nearly all of his major magical abilities. 3 42 98
- Severus Snape — An indirect source of high-grade mental-magic, Dark Magic, and Potions material after Charle uses Deep Blue-assisted Legilimency to extract his knowledge. 93 94 98
- Professor Filius Flitwick — His explanation and instruction in Multiple Casting provide the material Deep Blue uses to derive Spell Echo. 91 92
Story Role / Major Arcs
- Dak’s basement — Deep Blue gives Charle the means to survive captivity by converting Sublimation Potion into points and evolving Lumos into lethal magic. 3 4 5
- Early magical expansion — It rapidly develops Charle’s area control, Apparition, Transfiguration, and Animagus abilities beyond conventional wizarding limits. 12 19 30 42
- Ancient Dragon path — Analysis of dragon materials and deductions from Dragon Language inheritance allow Charle to obtain Ancient Dragon-level magic. 46 47 53 55
- Mental-magic development — Deep Blue’s Occlumency and Legilimency deductions strengthen Charle’s mind, provide simulated training, and lead him to question the system’s own source. 78 94 98
- Dark Magic escalation — Hellhound-derived materials allow Deep Blue to cheaply refine Charle’s Dark Magic before producing the Chain Killing Curse. 111 114 115
