After learning that the Night Watchers in Lane Village had been killed, Cruno rushed to investigate while Bruce continued studying the Dark Bible at Wayne Manor. Ghost revealed that he had developed strange memories and a spiritual fluctuation like Alduin and Adele’s, linking his condition to the events in Lane Village and memories from twenty-one years ago.
Bruce concluded that the Sharon Family heir had infected Alduin, Adele, and the ghost twenty-one years earlier to distract the Night Watchers and steal the Dark Bible, and he prepared to tell them what he knew. At the cemetery, Cruno investigated the deaths of three Night Watchers and Oswid’s missing body, identifying two likely hostile Extraordinaries and ordering the threat reported to the Church.
Daniel returned to Rhode Town to investigate after three Night Watchers died, while Bruce, Fawcett, and Ghost prepared for the Sharon Family’s arrival and its attempt to seize the Dark Bible. Fawcett proposed that Ghost pray to the Lord of the Dead for protection, though the offer would bind Ghost to the Quiet Kingdom.
Francis learned from Soul Mystic John Eccles that Alduin and Adele had been altered by fragments of the same person’s soul, and John made a pendant that could track those fragments. The pendant pointed north of Rhode Town, while Bradley realized the Church had located him and decided to advance his plan.
Bradley explained how he had spent seventeen years arranging events in Rhode Town to distract the Night Church and claim the Dark Bible, which he needed to summon a demon and overcome his advancement bottleneck. With Archer’s preparations complete, Bradley waited for the coming chaos to draw his pursuers and other obstacles into his traps.
Zatanna reported fresh Gargoyle traces near Nov Village, prompting Cameron to split the Mistvale Family’s forces between the village and Wayne Manor to protect both the Gargoyle and the Dark Bible. Bruce prepared for a possible attack from the Sharon Family’s heir, then fell asleep.
Cruno welcomed Nightwalker Paul Targett to Lane Village and shared his troubling reports about Rhode Town and Bruce Wayne. Daniel Pacino arrived at the church, where Paul revealed that Bruce was the newly discovered Godblood the Church had sent him to investigate.
Daniel learned that Bruce carried the Goddess of the Night’s bloodline, but focused on the Gargoyle investigation and prepared to go to Rhode Town with Smoker Bol. At Wayne Manor, Bruce agreed to exchange residences with the Mistvale Family, who came to protect the manor as the Sharon Family’s heir was expected to arrive within a week or two.
Daniel approved Francis’s request to mobilize the Night Watchers, and they tracked their target to a misty woodland near a village. After Archer’s ambush was exposed, he calmly began his escape.
Archer escaped through a tunnel while the Night Watchers confronted Bradley Sharon, the Living Dead, who overpowered them with his control over soil. As Bradley taunted the injured pursuers, Archer reached Nov Village and triggered a villager’s mutation, then slipped back into the darkness with thoughts of a girl he had once met.
Daniel attacked Bradley by appearing in front of him and thrusting a black umbrella toward his face, but the chapter cut off before the attack's outcome. The rest of the page contained site notices and promotional material.
Bruce dined with the Mistvale Family as they prepared for a possible attack by the Sharon Family, while the Night Watchers confronted Bradley outside Nov Village. Bradley survived an Assassin’s strike and considered heading to Wayne Manor, but the Gargoyle began attacking the village, forcing the Night Watchers’ attention north.
Bradley escaped after taunting Daniel, while the Night Watchers rushed toward Nov Village to contain Gargoyle’s contamination. Archer tried to delay the Mistvale Family, failed to stop them, and prepared to ambush the approaching Night Watchers.
Bradley attacked Wayne Manor to claim the Dark Bible, while Bruce and Zatanna waited in the basement where it had once been sealed. Bradley defeated the Mistvale Family’s ambush, but Cameron returned as he advanced farther into the manor.
Cameron retrieved the Gargoyle from Nov Village and confronted Bradley, who had arranged for the Ghost to steal the Dark Bible from Wayne Manor. The Ghost betrayed Bradley by detonating itself, but Bradley survived and escaped as Archer arrived.
Archer rescued Bradley from Wayne Manor and fled through the woods as the Night Watchers tracked them. Back at the manor, Bruce discovered that only he could read the Dark Bible and noticed changes to his Character Status Panel; Archer then sensed the Night Watchers closing in.
After the Night Watchers pursued Bradley and Archer from Lane Village, Archer used a powerful Boundary Arrow to block them with a wall of flames. Daniel and Cruno could not break through, and Bradley and Archer escaped.
Bruce hid the Dark Bible from the Night Watchers while Paul privately assessed him for the Nightfall Association. After escaping, Bradley killed Archer to prevent him from exposing his whereabouts and disappeared into the soil, vowing revenge on those who had thwarted him.
Bruce confirmed that the Wayne Family carried the Goddess of the Night’s bloodline and accepted an invitation to become a Nightwalker. After the church left, Cameron warned him that the family’s bloodline would attract evil and that Danvers lacked the spirituality to become an Extraordinary.
Bruce read a message from the Wheel of Fate outlining the destinies tied to his past choices, then considered his next steps in Metropolis. In Lane Village, Cruno prepared to resign and pursue Bradley, while Paul warned him about the danger and noted that Bruce was expected to become a Nightwalker.
Danvers showed Bruce a black rose that had appeared on her body, and his attempt to examine it sent him into a vision of a ritual in Wayne Manor’s basement. The vision ended as a mysterious voice announced a Witch, leaving the ritual’s purpose and connection to Danvers unresolved.
Bruce witnessed an illusion of the Primordial Witch confronting the Wayne Family after they accidentally stole the Witch Family’s bloodline through a blood exchange. She spared Ashaya and the children, then noticed Bruce watching the scene.
After touching the Black Rose, Bruce recovered from an illusion of the Wayne Family’s bloody past and confirmed that the two children he had seen were his father Jack and uncle Flaikent. He concluded that Danvers had awakened the Witch bloodline and began considering the secrets behind it and the Dark Lord’s possible return.
Bruce prepared to travel from Rhode Town to Walkervis, where he planned to attend a Charity Ball and address Fawcett’s problem. After settling his travel arrangements, he waited at the Carriage Agency for the carriage and coachman.
Bruce traveled by carriage from Rhode Town toward Walkervis, where he planned to attend a charity gala, and his journey paused when he caught up with a large caravan. The caravan’s elderly passenger ordered her people to clear a path for the travelers behind them.
