Personality

Tsunade is blunt, commanding, and difficult to deceive. During her first meeting with Ling, she immediately questions how a genin survived an encounter involving dangerous ancient energy and Root operatives. Her protection comes with conditions. She offers Ling safety under her command in exchange for information, medical monitoring, and intelligence on Root, explicitly warning that she despises betrayal.
