  • Anduin and Garrosh rallied Azeroth’s commanders for the invasion of Argus, while Elune restored Eonar and Eonar vowed to deal with N’Zoth’s lingering corruption.
  • Dick and his allies fought across Krokuun and Mac’Aree as Uther and Anarell defeated Hasabel’s forces, and Kil’jaeden recognized that Azeroth was preparing a major war.
  • Aggramar shattered the Krokuun Wall, so Dick and Odyn drew him through a Sargerite gateway, where Elune and Eonar helped Dick enter Aggramar’s soul and kill him, restoring Taeshalach.
  • Velen unleashed the Black Crystal’s arcane storm against the Legion, and Thorim, Hodir, and Ignis gave their lives defending the Krokuun forces from Kil’jaeden’s bombardment.
  • Azeroth’s fleet arrived at Krokuun, destroyed much of the demon fleet, and helped Dick defeat Varimathras and Kil’jaeden, opening the route to the Antoran Wastes.
  • As Azeroth’s leaders debated the Eredar and the future of the war, Dick argued for an interstellar federation, issued an order banning large-scale wars on Azeroth for a century, and announced the assault on Antorus in three days.

Ch. 680Fallen Glory-Bonus chapter for Brother Antarctic Ice Wolf

Dick and the demigods prepared a brief assault to rescue Eonar from her hidden chamber near Argus, while Freya returned to help defend the Krokuun Plains. Dick entered the chamber just as Eonar, exhausted and surrounded by demons, prepared to make a last stand.

  • Dick, Odyn, Velen, Illidan, and Freya located the Creator's Chamber and planned to open it for only one second so Dick could rescue Eonar.
  • Freya contacted Eonar, learned of a natural breach to the southeast, and was told that high-ranking demons had already entered the chamber.
  • Dick ordered Freya to return to Argus and tell Thorim and the others to hold the Krokuun Plains, then waited with Odyn, Velen, and Illidan near the breach.
  • After fifteen minutes, Dick used his speed to pass through the opening into the chamber before its demon guards could react.
  • Eonar fought the demons with the last of her strength, remembering the destruction of the Pantheon and the loss of her body on Neharan.

  • Dick, Odyn, and Illidan attacked Aggramar’s body while Elune and Eonar restrained him, opening deep wounds in his Dark Titan form.

Ch. 696Self-annihilation

Dick entered Aggramar’s body and reached the Titan spirit imprisoned within its chaos-corrupted core. When Aggramar briefly regained awareness, he begged Dick to kill him before the chaos awakened, and Dick obeyed.

  • Dick’s allies wounded Aggramar’s body while Elune and Eonar’s power helped reach the Titan spirit within.
  • With Elune’s help, Dick left the Order Angel’s body and entered Aggramar’s shell, pushing through its magma-filled energy pathways.
  • Dick broke through a wall of chaotic energy and found Aggramar’s spirit imprisoned in darkness, still resisting corruption.
  • Dick poured his power of order into Aggramar and urged him to awaken, enduring repeated attacks from the Titan’s body.
  • Aggramar briefly regained his reason and ordered Dick to kill him before the madness awakened.
  • Dick apologized and pierced Aggramar’s undefended spirit with a blade of order.

Ch. 697The Heir

Dick entered Aggramar’s spirit to suppress the chaos consuming him, where Aggramar revealed his defeat by Sargeras and asked Dick to inherit his legacy. Aggramar died, leaving Dick Taeshalach and a mission to find the imprisoned Titans’ souls as Sargeras advanced on Argus.

  • Dick pierced Aggramar’s will, killing him as the Titan urged him to keep hope and warned that Sargeras was heading to Argus.
  • Dick received Taeshalach, whose rusted shell fell away to reveal its restored blade, then joined Elune in preparing for war.

Ch. 698Starships enter the fray, utter destruction!

Velen triggered a vast arcane storm beneath the Krokuun Plains, destroying much of the demon army but leaving him vulnerable to Kil'jaeden. Kil'jaeden seized Velen and ordered the starships to bombard the Broken and Valarjar, whose defensive shield blocked the first volley before he prepared another.

  • Velen crushed the Black Crystal, unleashing an arcane storm that tore through the Krokuun Plains and killed more than a hundred thousand demons.
  • Kil'jaeden ordered the starships to fire on the storm, and their bombardment destabilized it, blasting a vast fissure across the plains.
  • Kil'jaeden struck down Velen and fought off the Valarjar as Thorim, Hodir, Heimdall, and Eir tried to rescue him.
  • Kil'jaeden summoned Kin'garoth and Varimathras to battle the Guardians, then threatened to keep Velen alive to witness the Legion's invasion of Azeroth.
  • The starships fired on the Broken and Valarjar, but the Large Energy Defense Device raised a seven-colored shield that blocked the volley.
  • Kil'jaeden recognized the shield and ordered another bombardment, testing how many strikes it could withstand.

Ch. 699Hope lay at the end of sacrifice (Part one)

Velen shielded Valarjar and the Krokuun Mountains from the Legion’s bombardment, but Kil’jaeden ordered another volley. Thorim, Hodir, and Forge Master Ignis sacrificed themselves to slow the attack, leaving Velen to declare that Azeroth would never fall.

  • Kil’jaeden’s starships bombarded Krokuun, and the ethereal energy shield reached its limit as the defenders watched in terror.
  • Velen broke free of Kil’jaeden and used a Holy Light Shield to stop the bombardment, collapsing from the effort afterward.
  • Kil’jaeden seized the weakened Velen and ordered another volley, determined to destroy everything Velen protected.
  • Thorim charged into the descending beams and detonated his guardian core, briefly shielding the defenders before dying.
  • Hodir sacrificed himself with an ice storm, then Forge Master Ignis leaped into the bombardment and gave his life as well.
  • Velen praised the guardians’ courage and told Kil’jaeden that Azeroth would never fall.

Ch. 700At the end of sacrifice lies hope (Part two)

Velen’s sacrifice held off Kil'jaeden’s bombardment until the Azeroth Alliance Forces arrived through the Sargerite Keystone. Dick and Odyn rescued Heimdall, and the Alliance fleet’s opening attacks shifted the battle above Krokuun in Azeroth’s favor, leaving Kil'jaeden facing his doom.

  • Kil'jaeden prepared another bombardment, and Heimdall chose to sacrifice himself to protect the Valarjar while Eir fought Varimathras.
  • Velen sensed the arrival of the Azeroth Alliance Forces and told Kil'jaeden that hope had ignited.
  • Odyn’s strike stopped the bombardment from hitting Heimdall, and Dick used Taeshalach to cut through the destructive beam before calling the Alliance Forces into battle.
  • The flagship Tempest Keep emerged from the portal, and Turalyon ordered the fleet to prepare its bombardment and ground assault.
  • More than seventy Azeroth Assault Starships joined the battle and destroyed one-fifth of the Demon Starships in their first volley.
  • The Alliance fleet’s second bombardment struck as Kil'jaeden realized he had misjudged Azeroth and could not escape his doom.

Ch. 701A Ten-Thousand-Year Farewell

Azeroth’s fleet began its assault on Argus, while the Helljumpers and Iron Burning Legion landed amid heavy demon fire and overwhelmed the disorganized forces. Dick defeated Kil'jaeden, who spoke with Velen before Dick carried him away as he exploded in the sky.

  • Turalyon ordered the Helljumpers and Iron Burning Legion to land while the fleets launched fighters and prepared their defenses.
  • Demon antiaircraft fire destroyed some landing pods, but the surviving troops and support ships devastated the demons gathered in Krokuun.
  • Dick defeated Varimathras with Taeshalach, and Freya collected the relics of three fallen Guardians.
  • Dick confronted Kil'jaeden, stopped his escape, and overcame his Soul Storm with a devastating strike from Taeshalach.
  • Velen listened as Kil'jaeden confessed his jealousy and voiced hope that Velen could prove him wrong, then Dick vanished with Kil'jaeden before a burst of green fire lit the distant sky.

Ch. 702New Eredar

After the Krokuun Great Star War ended in Azeroth’s victory and Kil’jaeden’s death, the Eredar Twins organized converts into a New Eredar movement while the surviving Eredar War Council planned to summon Sargeras. Nester Orris and Nolan set out to recruit more converts in Antoran, as the War Council prepared to sacrifice a captive in Mac’Aree to open a passage for their master.

  • Azeroth’s fleet and ground forces defeated the Burning Legion at Krokuun, killing Kil’jaeden and opening the route to the Antoran Wastes.
  • The Eredar Twins ordered Nester Orris to recruit more than a hundred thousand Eredar converts and gave him authority to gather followers.
  • Nester met his friend Nolan and announced that they would go to Antoran to recruit Eredar, starting with Nolan’s parents and their old acquaintances.
  • The Eredar War Council decided that it could not defeat Azeroth’s forces without summoning Sargeras through a transit passage.
  • The War Council chose to sacrifice a captive held in Mac’Aree and planned to send an infiltrator to seize the opportunity.

Ch. 703Plans for the Future (Part One)

After the victory at Krokuun, Dick gathered the leaders to plan the attack on Antorus and debate whether the demonized Eredar of New Eredar posed a threat. He argued that Azeroth’s vast capacity and growing contact with other civilizations demanded a new approach, introducing his Interstellar Era Theory as the next major question.

  • Turalyon reported that the fleet had recovered after three days, though its captains mourned their lost ships and ground forces needed more time; Dick planned to attack Antorus and rejected a proposed massacre of the remaining demons.
  • Trixis told the leaders that Nester Orris had gathered more than thirty thousand demonized Eredar into New Eredar, which the Army of the Light feared could threaten security around Mac'Aree.
  • Turalyon warned that the Eredar were dangerous and advised against bringing them to Azeroth, while Taylor argued their small numbers made them a minor concern; Velen said he trusted them little and preferred Hatuun’s people.
  • Dick challenged the leaders’ assumptions about accepting other peoples and revealed that Azeroth had about eighty-seven million inhabitants but could support six billion.
  • Dick introduced his Interstellar Era Theory as a way to consider Azeroth’s future relations with other worlds and civilizations.

Ch. 704Plans for the future (part two)

Dick urged Azeroth’s leaders to build a populous, united interstellar civilization capable of defending itself, then issued Ulduar Order No. 0001 to halt large-scale wars on Azeroth for a century and grant Xakan and New Eredar equal standing. He left the generals inspired and determined as the expedition prepared to attack Antorus in three days.

  • Dick argued that Azeroth’s small population and reliance on exceptional heroes left it vulnerable to the Burning Legion, and challenged the generals to prepare other civilizations to fight alongside Azeroth.
  • Turalyon estimated that 500,000 equipped Xakan soldiers could defeat at most 1.5 million demons in defense, prompting Dick to condemn the leaders’ treatment of Xakan Elves as maids.
  • Dick called for Xakan and New Eredar to become equal partners in an interstellar federation and urged the leaders to build a civilization able to survive future wars.
  • Dick issued Ulduar Order No. 0001, banning large-scale wars on Azeroth for one hundred years beginning in Year 28 of the Dark Portal and making Xakan the first test case for his strategy.
  • Dick announced that the forces would attack Antorus in three days, and the assembled leaders vowed to make their banners and bloodlines endure.
  • Velen praised Dick’s speech as they departed, and Dick declared that Azeroth’s journey among the stars had only begun.
