  • Arjuna met Karna at the arena, and Karna opened his Armor of Hell to make their contest fair; when their bowstrings sounded, a fist struck instead of an arrow.

Ch. 727Neither victory nor defeat

Karna defeated Arjuna in a duel by using smoke and his fists, then defended the choice as a way to survive rather than remain bound by rigid rules. After Arjuna accepted Karna’s view, he took Karna’s hand and punched him, while the dark-skinned servant began to fade away.

  • Nakula and Sahadeva treated Yudhishthira’s broken legs, while Bhima criticized him for continuing to gamble.
  • King Drupada confronted Yudhishthira over his failure to protect Draupadi, and Yudhishthira’s brothers fled, leaving him to face Drupada alone.

Ch. 728One Last Look

Arjuna returned to Hastinapura and found Bhishma and the others still burdened by their failures to uphold dharma. Seeing the age unchanged, he unleashed Maha Pralaya to judge the world, and Gandhari removed her blindfold to see Duryodhana for the first time as the sword light closed in.

Ch. 729Veto

  • Bai Mo asked Krishna whether the people erased by Arjuna’s first judgment had been destined to die, and Krishna explained that Arjuna was an unstoppable God of the End whose repeated strikes would make the world resemble his Lostbelt.
  • Krishna gave Bai Mo a golden Divine Wheel and told him to use it against Arjuna, while he went to speak with Karna.
  • Bhishma attacked Arjuna in Hastinapura, but Arjuna ignored his questions and cut him down with a sword strike.

  • Duryodhana awoke beneath the ashes and searched the wreckage for his family, Teacher Drona, and other allies.
  • Krishna told Duryodhana that Dhritarashtra, Gandhari, his brothers, and Bhishma were dead, prompting Duryodhana to ask why he had survived.

Ch. 731A way to survive

Krishna explained that Gandhari sacrificed herself to save Duryodhana from Arjuna’s judgment, then urged him to flee as her protection faded. Meanwhile, Bai Mo fought Arjuna and exposed how his reliance on overwhelming borrowed power had weakened his combat judgment, before a sudden shout distracted him.

  • Krishna told Duryodhana that Gandhari had spent her merit to protect him and had consequently been judged evil and killed.
  • Krishna warned Duryodhana to run before Arjuna found him, then headed toward the battlefield.
  • Bai Mo used the Orca Heaven and Earth Way, Dark Reincarnation, and God-Severing Way against Arjuna, who countered with immense power and prepared Maha Pralaya.

  • Bai Mo said Arjuna had lost his combat wisdom because he depended on power drawn from the gods, then attacked alongside the Myoken Divine Wheel.
  • Someone shouted at Arjuna, and the normally machine-like warrior turned to look.

Ch. 732Hatred

  • Duryodhana recalled Dhritarashtra’s promise that fate would favor him and insisted that his evil deeds were debts fate owed him.
  • Krishna urged Duryodhana to run while Arjuna was occupied, but Duryodhana rejected his pity and asked Krishna to help him attack Arjuna.

  • Duryodhana traded his iron mace for Krishna’s Moonlight Mace and hit Arjuna in the forehead.
  • Arjuna unleashed Maha Pralaya and engulfed Duryodhana after Duryodhana let his guard down.
  • Krishna appeared beside Arjuna and touched his shoulder, then collapsed as Bai Mo caught him.

Ch. 734The soul of Dharma

Arjuna tried to suppress Krishna’s influence, but Krishna awakened memories and emotions that weakened Arjuna’s control of the gods’ power. In a vision of the Kurukshetra battlefield, Krishna rejected Arjuna’s claim to uphold Dharma and declared that compassion was its soul, leaving Arjuna unable to carry out its judgment.

  • Arjuna tried to seal off Krishna within himself while Bai Mo and Kama attacked him, slowing his divine power.
  • Krishna asked Arjuna what the soul of Dharma was, stirring memories of people Arjuna had erased and filling him with painful emotions.
  • Arjuna showed Krishna the aftermath of the Kurukshetra War and argued that evil had to be rooted out before it could spread.
  • Krishna first appeared to accept Arjuna’s invitation to fight together, then told him that he should never have been the one to uphold Dharma.
  • Krishna explained that compassion, not the Pandavas’ virtues, was the soul of Dharma and declared that Arjuna could no longer pass judgment on the world.

Ch. 735Overriding All Objections

  • Arjuna summoned a sacred warhorse and wielded Maha Pralaya, whose judgment repeatedly rejected Bai Mo as a target.
  • Kama fired Bai Mo’s energy-sealed arrow into the warhorse, and Maha Pralaya suddenly approved its use of power, causing the surroundings to begin collapsing.

Ch. 736Trapped Again

As Arjuna’s power threatened Sweetness City and Bai Mo disappeared, Karna set out to join the battle despite having no weapon capable of harming him. The Myoken Divine Wheel brought Karna to Ashwatthama and another Karna, who empowered him with a spear and the strength to confront Arjuna.

  • Maya warned Karna that his weapons could not hurt Arjuna, but Karna insisted on joining the battle.

Ch. 738A God's Duty

At the battle in Hastinapura, Kama sacrificed her new divine station to keep Arjuna from escaping into nothingness and becoming a Beast again, leaving Karna to defend the way forward. Karna and Arjuna prepared to resume their fight.

  • Draupadi stood alone beside the sacrificial fire in Sweetness City as Arjuna struggled with Indra's support and Karna's taunts about his use of [Maha Pralaya].
  • Kama tried to slip into nothingness, but Arjuna warned that doing so could erase her new divine station and turn her into a Beast again.
  • Kama chose to burn her divine station with Shiva's flames rather than abandon Arjuna, declaring that her duty as a patron god of the oppressed kept her from leaving.
  • After Kama vanished, her Power of Austerity remained as a pillar of light, and Karna received a flower tea recipe she had left for her master.
  • Karna vowed to stop Arjuna from advancing, and Arjuna eagerly accepted his challenge.

Ch. 739The bond of the five sons

  • The Myoken Divine Wheel resonated with Ashwatthama’s war wheel, and five figures appeared beside Karna as his eldest brother invited him to fight together.

Ch. 740The Tilt of Space

Arjuna unleashed the Fantasy Tree to overwhelm Karna, but the Pandavas helped Karna press their attack and Arjuna recovered a trace of humanity. The chapter ended with Arjuna claiming victory as he summoned Pashupata, despite telling Karna he had not lost.

  • Arjuna rejected the familial feelings Krishna had restored, while Karna urged him to search his heart.
  • Bhima, Yudhishthira, Nakula, and Sahadeva aided Karna as he attacked Arjuna with the God-Slaying Spear.
  • As Karna’s spear began to break through Arjuna’s river of stars, Arjuna summoned the Fantasy Tree and linked the Lostbelt to the past.
  • One of the Pandavas struck Arjuna with a punch, and Arjuna sensed that Krishna’s return of his humanity had awakened a new vitality.
  • Arjuna summoned Pashupata and told Karna that he had not lost, though Arjuna had won.

Ch. 741Return coordinates

Bai Mo returned in time to save Karna and confronted Arjuna, who had drawn on the Fantasy Tree’s power. Bai Mo absorbed that power despite the strain on his body and prepared to defeat Arjuna quickly.

  • Karna was trapped by the Fantasy Tree’s branches and struck by Arjuna’s Pashupata, but Bai Mo returned and caught him before he was destroyed.
  • Bai Mo healed Karna and sent him back to Sweetness City, then told Arjuna that using the Fantasy Tree had sharply reduced his chances of winning.
  • Bai Mo explained that Arjuna could command the Fantasy Tree but could not fully merge with it, while his own body began burning as he absorbed its power.
  • Bai Mo gathered flames in his hands and declared that he would finish Arjuna in three moves.

Ch. 742A mirror left unviewed

  • Arjuna accepted Bai Mo’s strength but decided that victory required killing him and Karna.
  • Arjuna summoned images of people from his past and vowed to erase them and sever his karma.
  • Bai Mo offered Arjuna a mirror and told him that his resolve looked forced, echoing Karna’s words.
  • Arjuna bound the crumbling Gandiva with Fantasy Tree branches and fired Maha Pralaya at Bai Mo.
  • Bai Mo charged with three figures merging into him, caught Arjuna’s arrow in his mangled left hand, and sliced through Arjuna’s counterattack.

Ch. 743The second strike

Bai Mo used a self-destructive technique to overpower Arjuna, who survived the first strike by invoking the Ashvins and using the earth to cushion his fall. Bai Mo unleashed a second strike, shattering Arjuna’s armor and divine power as he accused him of failing to overcome his own humanity.

  • Bai Mo explained that he compressed and detonated his own cells to wield power beyond his limits, while Arjuna relied on the borrowed strength of the gods and the Fantasy Tree.
  • Bai Mo’s first self-destructive strike shattered Arjuna’s body and drove toward his heart, but Arjuna invoked the Ashvins’ Cellular Regeneration to endure it.
  • Arjuna fell to earth and used the ground to disperse the force, then believed Bai Mo was too damaged to attack again.
  • Bai Mo reignited his ruined body and entered the Self-Destruction Realm a second time, striking Arjuna’s head with the Sea Tiger Exploding Fist.
  • Bai Mo said Arjuna had misjudged him and accused him of clinging to his humanity as the strike shattered Arjuna’s armor, surrounding orbs, and horns.

Ch. 744Amrita

Bai Mo defeated Arjuna's Fantasy Tree-powered form, but Amrita began transforming Arjuna into an emotionless god. As Bai Mo and Kama left, Kunti comforted Arjuna, whose soul remained himself for the moment.

  • Bai Mo restored himself with the Asura Undying Body but said he could not survive another strike in the Self-Destruction Realm.
  • Bai Mo told Arjuna that his imperfections were part of who he was and that people loved him, then left with Kama on a rainbow-colored parrot.
  • Kunti appeared and comforted Arjuna by letting him rest on her lap, while Indra hoped Amrita would not erase Arjuna's soul.

Ch. 745Prajapatya Astra

Kunti comforted Arjuna and helped him accept rest, allowing the God of the End to vanish peacefully. With Arjuna gone, the gods worked to stabilize the distorted world while Kama and Shiki stopped Bai Mo from pushing himself further.

  • Kunti held Arjuna and reassured him that he did not have to be perfect, and Indra returned Gandiva to him before departing.
  • Kunti played the conch given to her by Bai Mo, using Prajapatya Astra to lull Arjuna into a peaceful sleep as his body disintegrated.
  • Bai Mo and Kama realized that Arjuna had been defeated by denying himself, with Kunti's love completing the plan.
  • Bai Mo asked Kama to take him to the distorted world, but Kama and Shiki warned him to rest instead.
  • Shiva and the other gods worked to hold the space around the Fantasy Tree in place, and Bai Mo closed his eyes to rest.

Ch. 746Kama, Mara

Bai Mo was cast into nothingness by [Maha Pralaya] and followed his bond with Kama to find a way out. He reunited with Kama despite her loss of divine power and growing Beast crowns, then crushed the crystal to return them to the battlefield.

  • Bai Mo woke in the void and wondered how Arjuna had activated Maha Pralaya.
  • Bai Mo followed his connection to Kama and found an eight-pointed crystal that could take him out of the void.

  • Kama watched Bai Mo from afar and planned to leave after he escaped, while the Beast crowns above her head continued to grow.
  • Bai Mo used a Command Spell to locate Kama, apologized for his tactical misjudgment, and took her wrist.
  • Bai Mo crushed the crystal, revealing the battlefield and preparing to return with Kama.

Ch. 747A glimpse in the mirror

Bai Mo reassured Kama that he accepted her as she was and helped her reclaim the divine office of the god who shelters the oppressed. After they returned to Sweetness City, Mara sensed another possible target, while a mysterious figure on a throne considered investigating the Lostbelt.

  • Kama worried that her Beast crown meant she was becoming a Demon King, but Bai Mo said he had accepted her knowing she was a Beast.
  • Bai Mo argued that Kama’s choice to protect people proved she remained worthy of her divine office, then confronted Mara, who vanished in a burst of light.
  • Bai Mo explained that Mara had tried to provoke Kama into falling back into depravity, and sent her to find Kunti while he faced Arjuna.
  • Kama’s golden radiance merged into her body, restoring the divine office, and she returned with Bai Mo to Sweetness City as the sky began to heal.
  • Mara sensed another ascetic in the void, while a figure on a throne discussed Chaldea and the powerful god in the Lostbelt before deciding to investigate.

Ch. 748Settling accounts

Bai Mo said farewell to Draupadi and reassured her about how to honor her father while living her own life. He then joined the gathered gods, who had assembled to discuss a proposal with him, while Indra recovered from Kama's ambush.

  • Bai Mo restored Draupadi's strength and told her to pursue her own happiness rather than pray and make offerings for her father every day.

  • Indra claimed he had accepted Kama's beating to avoid a greater conflict and ordered the Ashvins to record his version of events.

Ch. 749All settled

Bai Mo met with the gods after Arjuna’s defeat, secured their help for the survivors, and persuaded Indra to abolish caste by birth and spread knowledge. He returned to the Lostbelt, where Ritsuka and Kadoc were stunned to learn the crisis had already been settled.

  • Ganesha told Bai Mo that Shiva was watching the spacetime distortion, Brahma had wandered off, and no one knew where Narottama was; Bai Mo then asked Ganesha to protect Draupadi, Kunti, and the other survivors.
  • Indra said the gods would restore some of those erased by [Maha Pralaya], and Bai Mo offered to help people who repented while insisting that safeguards were needed.
  • Ganesha explained that caste should reflect character rather than birth, and Bai Mo warned that inherited caste would let people monopolize knowledge.
  • Indra decreed that high caste would no longer be determined by birth, ordered secluded sages to teach outstanding people, and declared a new Dharma for the return to the Krita Yuga.
  • Indra directed Bai Mo to return through the spacetime distortion and complete the transfer, then left with the other gods.
  • Bai Mo appeared before Ritsuka and Kadoc in the Lostbelt, handed over the materials Tenju had needed, and told them that Arjuna and the crisis had already been dealt with.

Ch. 750A Thousand Years Later
