Background / History
Tang Yuehua is the daughter of Tang Wei, the Clear Sky Sect's leader, and the younger sister of Tang Xiao and Tang Hao. Her Martial Soul mutated at awakening into the Ruyi Ring. Though she possessed innate level-nine Soul Power, the mutation left her unable to advance beyond level 9 or obtain a spirit ring for years. Rather than surrender to this limitation, she studied etiquette, music, and the management of the Clear Sky Sect's businesses in Heaven Dou City 20.
While returning from Heaven Dou City with Clear Sky Sect disciples, Tang Yuehua was targeted through a sachet laced with a spirit-beast-luring fragrance. The resulting attack killed her companions. Di Hong rescued her, cremated the fallen disciples, and escorted her back to the Clear Sky Sect with their ashes 19 20. Though she initially blamed herself, she came to recognize that the attack had been deliberately directed at her 19.
Tang Yuehua developed feelings for Di Hong after the rescue. She remained resolute even when he initially rejected the idea of a relationship, and later stayed at his residence after Tang Xiao and Tang Hao left for Sea God Island 43 56 62 63. Di Hong eventually swore on his Martial Soul that he would never betray her 90.
Di Hong gave Tang Yuehua the Nine-Rank Purple Ganoderma, allowing her to break through to level 10 and begin cultivating. He then personally helped her acquire her first spirit ring in Sunset Forest 93. The Clear Sky Sect kept her renewed cultivation secret to avoid attracting Spirit Hall's attention 94.
She later married Di Hong, accompanied him on their honeymoon journey, and became pregnant with their son, Di Yuan 108 118. During Di Hong's absence in the City of Slaughter, she managed the Marquis Mansion, expanded its wealth and influence, and resolved to help him control his killing intent through etiquette and music 102 103.
Appearance
Tang Yuehua is described as a graceful, refined woman whose bearing resembles that of a true noble. Her appearance and composure sharply contrast with the more blunt and martial demeanors of Tang Hao and Tang Xiao 46.
- Slender, jade-pale hands 20
- Gem-like eyes 93
- Long hair, later worn pinned up after marriage 108
- Typically dresses in elegant, light-colored clothing, including light green and blue dresses 22 93
- Carries an exceptionally noble and gentle aura when using her Martial Soul or domain 20 201
Personality
Tang Yuehua is compassionate, perceptive, and emotionally resilient. After surviving the spirit-beast attack that killed her companions, she endured grief and self-blame without allowing the tragedy to define her 19 20. She retained her determination even during the years when she believed she could never become a Spirit Master, choosing to pursue other paths through music, etiquette, and business management 20.
She is politically and socially capable, with notably stronger judgment in dealing with people than Tang Hao. She manages noble relationships cautiously, understands the importance of alliances, and recognizes that strength alone is not enough to navigate the world 63 94 118.
Tang Yuehua also possesses courage and initiative. During Xue Yu's rebellion, she refused to sacrifice the Strength Clan in a royal internal conflict, instead arranging for nobles, ministers, retired Imperial Guards, and Royal Knights to be gathered in support of Di Hong 75. Her compassion extends beyond her family: while traveling in Flower City, she quietly gave a flower-selling girl enough money to support her family and distribute flowers to other couples 108.
Abilities & Skills

- Can weaken opponents' will to fight when their Soul Power is below hers 106
