Background

Akaseki was born to Xia and Hou Xuan, fringe members of the Uchiha Clan who died during the clan's civil conflict. Orphaned before he could remember them, he grew up with less standing than prominent Uchiha families, though still more security than an ordinary orphan. 1 225

At the Ninja Academy, Akaseki cultivated ties with Mikoto because her father was a clan elder and used his clan status to discourage boys from harassing Kushina Uzumaki. His early conduct was strongly shaped by Uchiha status-consciousness and pride. 1 4
