Background / History

Fuxi and his sister Nuwa originate as the Primordial Pure Yang Qi and Primordial Pure Yin Qi within Pangu's body. Their origins are described as superior to those of Di Jun and Tai Yi, who embody Great Beginning Ultimate Yang and Great Beginning Ultimate Yin. 86

He and Nuwa joined the Demon Race after deducing that doing so would benefit the beast-kin. Zhu Jiuyin later reveals that Hongjun had manipulated this decision. Fuxi comes to understand that his attachment to the Demon Race would have made him a burden to Nuwa in the original future: he would die in the Witch-Demon war, forcing Nuwa to bargain with the Sages for his reincarnation and eventual position as Human Sovereign. 86

Despite recognizing Di Jun and Tai Yi's exploitation, Fuxi remains in the Demon Race to protect its kind-hearted members from oppression. Zhu Jiuyin offers him a place in the Time Secret Realm, treating him as family; Fuxi responds by pledging that he will never act against the Witch Race and will aid Zhu Jiuyin even at the cost of his life. 94

Personality

Fuxi is thoughtful, principled, and protective of Nuwa. He accompanies her into the Ancestral Witch Hall despite the danger of entering Witch Race territory, and reacts anxiously when Houtu proposes that Nuwa become Zhu Jiuyin's Dao companion. 74 78 79

He is regarded as a man of integrity whose concern extends beyond his own faction. His decision to remain among the demons stems from his wish to shelter innocent demons rather than a desire for power. He later distinguishes these individuals from the Demon Race as a whole, recognizing that his former loyalty had conflated the two. 94

Fuxi accompanies Nuwa to request the Nine Heavens Breathing Soil from Houtu for Nuwa's planned creation of a new race. He remains wary of the Witch Race's overwhelming strength and supports Nuwa while she conducts the negotiations. 74 77

When Houtu proposes Nuwa's union with Zhu Jiuyin, Fuxi responds with shock and anger. He later stays with Nuwa in the Witch Race's ancestral land, where Zhu Jiuyin reveals the existence of the Earthly Dao and Humanity Dao, Hongjun's schemes, and the future consequences of Fuxi's attachment to the Demon Race. 78 84 86

Time Secret Realm and Cultivation

After explaining that he remains in the Demon Race for the sake of its innocent members, Fuxi is admitted to the Time Secret Realm alongside Nuwa. Reform of the Demon Race

Fuxi and Nuwa eradicate tens of billions of evil demons after their breakthrough. When Tai Yi dismisses Fuxi's demands for accountability, Fuxi withstands the Chaos Bell and defeats Tai Yi with a single palm strike. 112 113

He then establishes the Demon Race Law Enforcement Hall, declaring that all demons are subject to its laws. The Heavenly Dao rewards him with merit and the Grandmist Measuring Heaven Ruler, which he uses to locate demons bearing the deepest Karmic Force. 114

Fuxi subsequently executes 155.5 billion corrupt demons and appoints Baize and Shang Yang as Vice Hall Masters. His reforms make him the de facto leader of the Demon Race after Di Jun and Tai Yi lose support and abdicate. 115 120

Departure from the Demon Race

After Di Jun and Tai Yi return as Hunyuan experts, they accuse Fuxi of betraying the Demon Race by suppressing more demons than any external faction. Fuxi investigates the race's attitude toward his rule for three days, then chooses to abdicate as Emperor Xi rather than compromise his principles. 149

Di Jun and Tai Yi attempt to seize the Law Enforcement Hall, but Fuxi's allies—including Nuwa, Zhu Jiuyin, and the Underworld—back him. The dispute ends with two separate Law Enforcement Halls, while Fuxi leaves the Demon Heavenly Court with 387.2 billion followers. 150 151

Human Sovereign

The Three Ancestors of the Human Race invite Fuxi and his Law Enforcement Hall to join humanity, honoring him as their “uncle” and appointing him Human Sovereign. Fuxi accepts after consulting Baize and Shang Yang, while making clear that humans who accumulate deep Karmic Force will receive no special treatment. 151 152

Fuxi finds greater personal fulfillment among humans, who sincerely regard him as kin. His arrival and the Law Enforcement Hall's support accelerate the Human Race's development. 152 153

He later chooses Shennong as his successor, intending to devote himself to assisting Zhu Jiuyin with the Chaos Spirit-Transforming Inversion Array.
