Background / History

Before becoming a zombie, Tank was a fitness trainer. Lin Dong identified his muscular build as ideal aptitude for a strength-type zombie and recruited him as one of his first three underlings, alongside the Female Zombie and Doctor Zombie. 5

Tank initially had very low intelligence. During Lin Dong's first weapon-training experiment, he obediently picked up a machete by its blade and cut his palm; he learned to use the handle only after copying Doctor Zombie. 5

During a trip to Jiangbei University, Tank's escalating size and violent manner prompted Lin Dong to give him his name. Though he could not understand why he had been placed in the truck's cargo compartment, he remained obedient to Lin Dong's commands. 9

As Lin Dong's forces expanded, Tank became one of their most dependable senior combatants. Although he remained simple-minded and easily flattered, repeated battles, territorial duties, and technological upgrades developed him into a frontline commander. His breakthrough in Central Province ultimately made Tank, Doctor, and Little Eight the Corpse Nest's original “Three Elders,” all of whom had entered the Undead Race. 98 612 713 883

Appearance

Tank is a towering, heavily built zombie whose body grows increasingly massive as he evolves. He is described as resembling a “miniature Hulk” after his later growth. 9 17

Personality

Tank is intensely violent and easily provoked, particularly when outsiders challenge Lin Dong's territory. He eagerly anticipates battles and reacts to intruders with immediate rage. 31 38 39

Despite his brutality, he is deeply loyal to Lin Dong and seeks his approval after fighting. His emotions and reasoning are childlike: he complains to Lin Dong after being injured, takes personal revenge against Zhang Xiaoyuan, and struggles to understand abstract language. 22 23 45

He is proud of his strength but recognizes Lin Dong's superiority, obediently waiting when brute force fails against barriers. 12 15

Tank is gullible, vain, and highly susceptible to praise. Flared Ears repeatedly exploits this by flattering Tank's supposed strength and work ethic, while Doctor can easily tease him with technical jargon or rank labels. 109

Though usually reckless, Tank can display straightforward courage and loyalty. He gave an SS-Rank Speed-Type Crystal Core to a companion rather than keeping it for himself, and he refused to yield when tasked with protecting the Laser Sword Squad against a stronger opponent. 756 882

Tank struggled with insecurity after Little Eight and Doctor advanced ahead of him, but Doctor's advice to stop overthinking and simply defeat the enemy before him allowed Tank to overcome this mental barrier and evolve. 780 781 883

Recruitment and Training

Lin Dong recruits Tank from his apartment building for his physical aptitude, then trains him alongside the Female Zombie and Doctor Zombie to recognize and use machetes. 5

Tank participates in Lin Dong's early hunts at Jiangbei University, killing survivors at the women's dormitory and using his strength to clear the cafeteria and breach its storeroom. 10 11

Construction Site and Fortress Assault

Tank fails to break the cafeteria's cold-storage door, forcing Lin Dong to rely on Su Xiaorou's key. 12 He later helps assault Zhao Peng's construction-site fortress after Lin Dong tunnels beneath its entrance with an excavator. 15 16

Inside the fortress, Tank kills defenders with thrown granite and grants a mutilated captive woman's wish for death. 16

Prison Assault

After being injured by Zhang Xiaoyuan's fire ability, Tank returns with Lin Dong's zombie tide to attack the prison. He destroys its outer defenses, breaches multiple walls, and unsuccessfully attempts to break into the alloy safe room where Zhang Xiaoyuan hides. 22 23

Territory Expansion

Tank massacres rival zombies that roar at Lin Dong's group, then becomes a leading defender of the expanding zombie territory alongside Little Eight. 31 32

King-Hunting Action Squad Battle

Tank stands at the front of Lin Dong's elite force during Tech Company's King-Hunting Action Squad invasion. Once ordered into battle, he charges through gunfire, collides with an armored vehicle, and helps overwhelm the human forces and the Red-Faced Zombie King's horde. 39 41 43

Following the victory, Tank remains among Lin Dong's core guards and patrols the expanded territory. 45 49

Treasure Incident and Bone-Spike Revenge

Tank accompanies Little Black into another Zombie King's territory after a crashed helicopter draws them to a guarded case. He fights through the zombie tide, scales the building, endures Ice Spikes and fire, and tears the case free from Sun Dabiao together with part of the human's arm. 54

When the local Zombie King demands the case, Tank refuses, escapes through walls and rooftops, and hides while surrounded. Little Black ultimately takes the case to Lin Dong, leaving Tank to deal with the pursuit. 55 56

Tank is later ambushed by the Bone-Spike Zombie King and nearly torn apart by its horde. Lin Dong's arrival saves him, allowing Tank to kill the enemy Zombie King and regain Lin Dong's approval. 57

River Patrol and Rank Assessment

As Lin Dong's territory grows, Tank shares responsibility for the eastern sector with Little Eight and Flowerpot. 98

Tank regularly fishes by using himself as bait, though his recklessness nearly gets him dragged into the river by a giant mutant squid. Flowerpot's vines and Little Eight's intervention save him. 99

When Night Fiend's Phantom Spirit Descent disorients the battlefield, Tank endures the psychological pressure and attempts to resist Steel Vajra's deceptive afterimages. 439

Border Battle and Technological Upgrades

Tank leads giant zombie beasts carrying firearm-equipped Ace Elites into the Indian zombie horde, where their cavalry formation tears open the battlefield with concentrated Crystal Core firepower and trampling charges. 612

Star Destroyer Assault

During the battle against Human Civilization's Star Destroyer, Tank joins the ground forces climbing Flowerpot's Sky-Reaching Vine to board the vessel. 771

Tank charges through Crystal Core Cannon fire and holds an SS-Plus Rank strength-type Awakened in an even contest. Little Eight ends the stalemate by decapitating the human and casually gives Tank the resulting Crystal Core. 772

Northern Province Decapitation Operation

Lin Dong selects Tank for the Decapitation Operation against Northern Province, alongside Little Eight, Flowerpot, the Laser Sword Squad, and Guard Mechas. Tank is overjoyed to be included after fearing that he had been sidelined. 783
