Background / History

Arrival and Early Survival

Before entering the elevator world, Lin Feng attended university and shared an off-campus rental with Qin An because neither had adjusted to dormitory life. Qin An regularly helped with expenses, including utilities. Lin Feng disappeared while rushing to an eight-a.m. class and awoke inside an unfamiliar elevator 1 29.

His personal system supplied advance information about the floors. On the first floor, he recovered a machete and chocolate, then dismantled classroom furniture for upgrade materials. He subsequently collected water from a forest stream and defeated five zombies by using the elevator entrance as a defensive position 1 2 3.

His first human kill occurred at a recycling center. Although there was enough scrap for both survivors, Lin Feng confronted another man at gunpoint and demanded his supplies. The man concealed a razor and attacked him during the exchange; Lin Feng shot him, initially dry-heaved at the result, and then looted his elevator 4 5.

Ghost Marriage and Resource Independence

On the Ghost Marriage Floor, Lin Feng resisted the Red-Dressed Vengeful Ghost’s attempts to frighten him and destroyed her with a blood-activated Ghost-Repelling Talisman. He then fulfilled her final wish by killing the groom’s family and burning their bodies. These quests provided the Body-Strengthening Pill and Extra-Large Leather Backpack 6 7.

Following the system’s directions in Jurassic World, he retrieved an egg expected to recognize him as its master after hatching. The resulting Little Velociraptor became his traveling companion and combat support 8 9 15 24.

Lin Feng secured a renewable water supply by diving into a freezing river for Infinite Water Resources. The expedition left him with a high fever, prompting him to use a specially formulated antibiotic injection obtained from a zombie floor 13.

Increased Difficulty and Death Games

After the beginner period ended, Lin Feng fought zombie dogs in an abandoned factory. Little Velociraptor killed Dog King and saved him from the final dog. Lin Feng treated the dinosaur with serum recovered from Dog King’s corpse and obtained an HK416 and other military supplies 23 24.

The Death Games tested billiards, firearm assembly, and musical chairs. Using the name Gu Chen, Lin Feng resisted An Qingqing’s seduction and concealed-razor attack, defeated her at organ-linked billiards, and subsequently assembled a pistol faster than Bai Sheng and shot him. After surviving the floor, he used a Time Extension Card to loot six defeated opponents’ elevators 25 26 27 28.

He later recognized Qin An’s advertisements in the Chatroom and reestablished contact. Lin Feng shared the requirements and benefits of higher elevator levels and offered weapons, although Qin An declined the offer 29 30.

Forest Worlds and Heists

On a return to the forest, Lin Feng met Wang Lei, who perceived the setting as a game and controlled a character capable of respawning. They discussed their different worlds and cooperated against a Mutant Savage. Wang Lei supplied logs and medicine, while Lin Feng gave him his Steel Crossbow 30 31 32 33.

Lin Feng participated in both a bank robbery and a luxury cruise-ship heist with Michael’s crew. During the latter, he recovered hidden money, stole substantial food supplies, helped rescue surrounded teammates, and stayed behind to fight pursuing guards. His immediate motive for delaying his escape was completing the system’s firearms-proficiency quest 18 19 36 37 38 39 40.

Normandy and Return to Blue Star

The War Floor placed Lin Feng in command of a ten-man German bunker squad during the Normandy landings. He entered without his usual equipment apart from his clothes and Lucky Rings, had to survive twenty-four hours, and received a quest requiring more than five hundred kills. He survived with an A rating and obtained Eagle Eye after the system counted his soldiers’ kills toward his total 41 43.

Reaching elevator level 8 allowed him to return to Blue Star for a vacation. Michael contacted him there, arranged payment of his heist share through legitimate business transfers, and invited him on a cruise. Lin Feng discovered that Michael, Trevor, and Lester Crest existed on Blue Star even though the game he associated with them, GTA V, did not 44 45.

Tyrant Hunt and Continued Upgrading

After returning to the elevator, Lin Feng forced another survivor to walk ahead as bait on a sewer floor. The Tyrant killed the man before Lin Feng could intervene. Discovering that the monster instinctively protected its eyes, Lin Feng combined Eagle Eye, accurate gunfire, and grenades to destroy its head 47 48.

He looted the dead survivor’s level-five elevator, including one hundred kilograms of gold. On a later animal-rich floor, he and Little Velociraptor secured three bison. After shooting several hostile Indigenous inhabitants, he forced the survivors to butcher the carcasses before returning to store the meat and continue trading for upgrade materials 48 50.

Appearance

  • Early build: Described as small and thin during the hunter game; he initially became winded carrying heavy objects 5 11.
  • Face: A survivor attempting to seduce him considers him handsome and young enough to look recently graduated 22.
  • Developed physique: Regains a four-pack after taking the Body-Strengthening Pill and later develops pronounced muscles and an eight-pack through regular exercise 7 30.
  • Typical exploration equipment: Carries multiple firearms and a machete; later wears chainmail when entering dangerous floors 17 47.

Personality

Lin Feng is resourceful, competitive, and highly conscious of the advantage provided by information. He salvages doors, furniture, and containers rather than leaving usable materials behind. He also recognizes the value of acquiring upgrade resources before other survivors understand their importance, and later limits medicine sales to avoid depressing their price 1 2 3 9 47.

His courage develops alongside practical caution. Before his first zombie encounter, he admits that he has never fought and briefly considers staying inside. By contrast, he is unusually unafraid of ghosts. Even on nominally safe floors, he carries weapons because other survivors may still threaten him 3 6 21.

Survival and rewards frequently outweigh compassion in his decisions. He destroys the ghost despite her plea for mercy, treats defeated survivors’ supplies as opportunities for advancement, and coerces another survivor into serving as bait. His distrust also makes him resistant to An Qingqing’s emotional manipulation and seduction 6 25 26 47.

With trusted companions, he is warmer and irreverent. He exchanges affectionate insults with Qin An, shares food with him, and offers medicine when needed. He also repeatedly feeds, protects, and treats Little Velociraptor 24 29 40 49 50.
