Ch. 164The Necropolis of the Gods Opens

Jason organized the Saints under his command for the Necropolis of the Gods, while Linley, Bebe, Veronica, and others prepared to enter. After Beirut revealed that the Ba-Serpent guarded the passage taken by the human Saints, Jason was left anxiously watching from outside.

  • Jason distributed the Necropolis places among the Four Ultimate Warrior Clans, the Rhine Empire, the Luo'ao Empire, the Blazing Sun Desert, Linda, and Clear Spring, and arranged a place for Doehring Cowart inside Linley's shield.
  • Jason lent Linley an earth-attribute divine shield, while Linda urged Bebe to obtain the divine spark on the eleventh floor and Clear Spring told him to prioritize safety.
  • Jason tried to persuade Veronica to stay behind and cultivate, but she chose to enter the Necropolis with Linley and the others.
  • The Saints entered the Necropolis of the Gods through its two dragon-carved entrances as Jason watched with concern.
  • Beirut told Jason that the Ba-Serpent guarded the passage the human Saints had entered, and Jason asked to go in and kill it, but Beirut refused.

Ch. 165The Twenty-Sixth Level: The Fourteenth Floor of the Necropolis of the Gods

Ten years after the Necropolis of the Gods reopened, Jason returned to the Yulan Continent, explained the paths to becoming a Deity, and prepared to eliminate the two churches. He entered the Necropolis’s fourteenth floor, where he was attacked by a vampire while setting up warning formations near the entrance.

  • Jason reunited with Veronica and learned that five of the thirty Peak Saints under his command had died during the ten years of fighting.
  • Jason told Linley and Doehring Cowart about divine sparks, the risks of refining one, the two ways to become a god independently, and how divine artifacts formed.
  • Jason announced that the two churches would be destroyed, then removed the Radiant Temple’s seal and destroyed the Dark Church’s formation before leaving for the Necropolis of the Gods.
  • Guided by Beirut, Jason entered the fourteenth floor, explored a primitive kingdom ruled by five castles, and chose to secure the entrance before approaching the Midgod guardians.
  • A winged, fanged attacker struck at Jason with a rapier, but his water shield blocked the attack and revealed the assailant as a vampire.

Ch. 166Vampires (1)

Jason confronted five vampires guarding the way through the Necropolis of the Gods and exploited their disunity to attack. He killed four of them, including Braul and Claudia, while the remaining vampire faced him amid the ongoing battle.

  • Braul and four other Deity-level vampires confronted Jason, but their quarrels showed they were not working together.
  • Jason lured the vampires upward, confirmed they had left the passages unguarded, and killed the destruction-and-wind vampire with his Bible and saber.
  • Jason pierced Braul's Shadow Clones, injured his soul with the Bible, and killed him while the other vampires refused to help.
  • The remaining three vampires attacked together, but Jason used his Water Element Shield and vines to withstand their assault.
  • Jason's Bible slowed the attackers, then froze Claudia's flaming gauntlet and arm, allowing his saber to kill her and her clones.

Ch. 167Vampires (2)

Jason fought the three remaining vampires in the Necropolis of the Gods, using his clones and Water Element Shield to overcome their teamwork. He killed two vampires, watched the last escape, destroyed the five castles, and collected the fifteenth-floor rewards before moving on.

  • The three vampires attacked Jason, but their combined domains only slowed him, and Jason used his Bible to withstand an attack while conserving his remaining Fate Divine Power.
  • Jason trapped the Death-and-Water Midgod in his Water Element Shield, dragged him away from the others, and killed him and his Death Clone.
  • Jason used his remaining Fate Divine Power to stop and kill another vampire, but the Wind Element Midgod escaped toward the boundary of the small plane.
  • Jason destroyed all five vampires’ castles after finding only simple warning formations in them.
  • Jason collected the Highgod Artifacts and four High Godheads from the fifteenth-floor altar, then dismantled the altar for its materials.

Ch. 168Red-Fruit Green Willow, "Pan"

Jason reached the fifteenth level and found its guardian, Pan, a Red-Fruit Green Willow who let him claim the treasure without a fight. Jason discovered that one ring was a Soul Defense Divine Artifact and the other contained a hundred Floating Shadows of battles between top-tier Highgods, which he watched with Pan.

  • Jason entered the fifteenth level, secured the mountain entrance with defensive formations, and followed a path through the forest to its giant tree guardian.
  • Pan introduced himself and agreed to let Jason take the level's treasure if Jason showed him what it was.
  • Jason reached the altar without being attacked and found two rings on its platform.
  • Jason identified the black ring as a Soul Defense Divine Artifact that shielded and nourished his soul and clones.
  • Jason found a hundred Floating Shadows of top-tier Highgod battles in the other ring and watched them with Pan.

Ch. 169Red-Flame Green Willow (1)

Jason inspected the guardian of the sixteenth floor, a giant octopus who attacked his soul through the passage, then returned to Pan and discovered that the tree had been plotting to kill him. Pan revealed himself as a Red-Flame Green Willow and began fighting Jason on the sealed altar.

  • Pan explained that Lord Beirut had assigned him to guard the fifteenth floor after he survived a battle five thousand years earlier.
  • Jason approached the sixteenth-floor entrance and saw a giant octopus, who tried to infiltrate his soul with an attack through the passage.
  • Jason escaped back to Pan, carrying a Floating Shadow of the octopus, and realized Pan had sealed the exits and intended to attack him.
  • Pan admitted he had been waiting for an opportunity to fight Jason, and both prepared to battle at full strength.
  • Pan revealed his Red-Flame Green Willow form and attacked Jason with sixteen roots and sixteen flaming fruits.

Ch. 170Red-Flame Green Willow (2)

Jason fought Pan, the Red-Flame Green Willow, while struggling against his opponent’s superior divine power and relentless attacks. After Jason’s Water Clone became a Midgod, he continued the duel and trapped both of them inside a sphere of water with a new technique.

  • Jason and Pan exchanged attacks, and Pan’s blazing transformation intensified their battle while Jason relied on his defensive artifact and healing abilities.
  • Pan pursued Jason when the Laws of Heaven and Earth descended, hoping to stop him from fusing with a Water Mid Godhead.
  • Jason’s Deathgod Golem intercepted Pan long enough for Jason’s Water Clone to fuse with the Mid Godhead and become a Midgod.
  • Jason used his increased strength to force Pan back, and Pan proposed that they call the fight a draw.
  • Jason challenged Pan to continue fighting and used blue streams of water to enclose them both in a huge sphere.

Ch. 171Crystal Space

Jason trapped Pan briefly with a new water-element technique, then retreated into the passage between floors to recover his divine power. There he met Dylan, who had become a Midgod and killed the guardian of the fourteenth floor, before Dylan returned to that floor.

  • Jason enclosed Pan in a shifting sphere of water and ice, but Pan melted through its barriers and broke free.
  • Jason sent the Deathgod Golem ahead to clear a fire-element formation at the passage, then entered and blocked Pan out with an ice wall.
  • Jason named the water-element trapping technique Crystal Space and judged that it consumed too much divine power to be useful against Pan.
  • Jason decided to recover in the passage for the rest of the year because his clones were nearly or completely out of divine power.
  • Dylan met Jason and revealed that he had broken through to Midgod and killed the wind-element Midgod on the fourteenth floor.
  • Jason told Dylan that Pan had fought him to a draw, and Dylan abandoned the idea of challenging Pan before returning to the fourteenth floor.

Ch. 172Slaying O'Gavin

After leaving the Necropolis of the Gods, Jason learned that O'Gavin and four Lowgods were attacking Dragonblood Castle, where Monica and Linley were fighting. Jason killed the four Lowgods and defeated O'Gavin, leaving the battle with Monica and the others safe.

  • Beirut told Jason and the others that experts from the Gebados Plane had attacked Dragonblood Castle, where Monica, Linley, and others were defending it.
  • Jason raced to Dragonblood Castle and found Monica, Linley, Olivier, and Desri fighting O'Gavin and four Lowgods.
  • O'Gavin demanded the Four Way Territories, but Jason attacked him and used his water and lightning techniques to reach the Lowgods.
  • Jason killed the four Lowgods as they tried to flee, then told Monica and the others to leave.
  • O'Gavin attacked Jason in a rage, but Jason sent out his clones and drove O'Gavin into the ground.

Ch. 173Distributing Divine Artifacts and Godheads

After Dragonblood Castle survived O’Gavin’s attack, Jason welcomed the displaced leaders and Deity-level experts into the Four Way Territories. He distributed divine artifacts and godheads among his allies, then asked Linley to stay behind.

  • Jason questioned Monica and Linley about why they had risked fighting O’Gavin instead of retreating or using the Rhine Empire’s Blood-colored Golem.
  • Catherine asked Jason to shelter the surviving leaders, and he allowed them and Tarosse to remain in the Four Way Territories and help guard it.
  • At a banquet, Jason explained that Olivier’s ability to fuse Light and Dark Divine Power came from a rare Soul Mutation.
  • Jason distributed divine artifacts to Olivier, O’Brien, Desri, Monica, Delia, Linley, Dylan, the High Priestess, and Tarosse.
  • Jason gave O’Brien, Dylan, Catherine, and Linda divine sparks and godheads; Dylan and Catherine pledged lifelong loyalty to him.
  • Jason explained the low status of those who refined divine sparks in the Higher Planes, then dismissed the group and asked Linley to stay.

Ch. 174Returning the Sovereign Power

Jason explained Sovereign Power to Linley and repaid him with a drop of Earth Element Sovereign Power. He then continued preparing a cultivation formation at Dragonblood Castle and learned that Monica had made rapid progress studying the Laws since becoming a god.

  • Jason told Linley that the red liquid was likely the essence blood of his divine-beast ancestor and identified the blue liquid as Water Sovereign Power.
  • Jason explained how Sovereign Power enhanced a deity and gave Linley a drop of Earth Element Sovereign Power as repayment for the drop he had used in Fenlai City.
  • Jason asked Linley to reserve him a place in the small Divine Plane, where his Fate Clone could cultivate safely toward becoming a Highgod.
  • Jason completed an energy-gathering formation above the small Divine Plane by installing a Midgod Artifact rapier at its center.
  • Monica told Jason that watching the Floating Shadows had given her insight and that her progress in understanding the Laws had accelerated since she became a god.
  • Jason confirmed Monica had not achieved Internal Godhood and then invited her to spar.

Ch. 175Peak Lowgod Monica

Jason sparred with his daughter Monica, discussed her cultivation and family, and gave her Soul Gold Beads. The chapter ended with Monica deciding she would reject Olivier because she was not ready for a relationship and did not like him.

  • Monica fought Jason with her sound-based weapon, and they discussed her strengths, physical defense, and progress with the Life Law.
  • Jason gave Monica Soul Gold Beads and advised her not to refine a Life Lowgod Spark.
  • Monica asked why Jason had not given Veronica a Divine Spark, and Jason said he would talk to his wife about her progress.
  • Monica told Jason that she had encouraged the Four Ultimate Warrior Clans to nurture children's affinity for the Four Edicts, especially Life.
  • Jason asked about Olivier pursuing Monica, and she said she planned to turn him down because she was not ready for a boyfriend and did not like him.

Ch. 176A Thorough Search

Jason returned to the Rhine Empire to deal with Gebados escapees who had settled there, recruiting some and punishing those who abused and killed people. He gathered the remaining Saints and left Shelley and Muba to oversee them while Linley, Monica, and Clear Spring continued their training.

  • Jason accepted Shelley’s pledge and gave her two provinces in the former Luo'ao Empire as her parish.
  • Jason ordered Clear Spring to attack Jerome, then sent Linley and Monica to help when Clear Spring fell behind; together they killed him.
  • Jason met Muba in the Blazing Sun Desert, accepted his pledge, and assigned him the oases he had created while warning him not to let the God of Yellow Sand’s faith revive.
  • Jason summoned the remaining Saints in his territory to Bloodshadow Valley, where all fifty-seven pledged loyalty and promised to obey the Rhine Empire’s rules.
  • Jason asked Shelley and Muba to keep watch over the Saints until his other subordinates could take over, so Linley, Clear Spring, and Monica could focus on improving their strength.

Ch. 177Slaying Midgods

Jason defended the Rhine Empire from seven Midgods sent by Adkins and Erwin, killing several with ease and driving the survivors away. He spared their leader to avoid provoking Adkins, but another Highgod was approaching from the west.

  • Jason and his allies flew out to confront seven Midgods led by Bernas, who demanded Highgod Artifacts and Rhine Empire territory on behalf of Adkins and Erwin.
  • Jason killed the mace-wielding Midgod and another attacker, while his Water Element Shield deflected the enemies’ physical strikes.
  • Jason killed an Earth Element Midgod despite a threat from the man’s father, and three of the remaining attackers fled toward their Highgods.
  • Jason ordered the fugitives to leave the Yulan Continent through the Arctic Wasteland, but they ignored him and fled toward their allies.
  • Jason stopped Dylan and Tarosse from killing Bernas, then watched a Highgod approach from the direction of the Yulan Empire.

Ch. 178Slaying a Highgod

Jason fought Erwin, a Highgod who sought revenge for his sons, and used his Crystal Space to suppress and injure him. He left Erwin dead and flew toward the Rhine Empire, while Erwin’s two subordinates escaped north.

  • Erwin attacked Jason after accusing him of killing his sons, and Jason trapped him inside the Crystal Space.
  • Jason and Erwin exchanged attacks as Erwin struggled against the space’s turbulent currents, which disrupted his senses and direction.
  • Erwin enlarged his werewolf body to break the Crystal Space, but Jason froze it into a solid sphere and inflicted heavy damage before Erwin shattered it.
  • Jason ambushed the injured Erwin with Arc Flash and attacks from his clones, then killed Erwin’s fleeing Midgod clone and destroyed his wolf head.
  • Jason confirmed Erwin was dead, saw Tarosse and the others keeping their distance, and flew toward the Rhine Empire.

Ch. 179Bluefire Arrives

Jason explained how talented Midgods could challenge stronger opponents, then spent a year cultivating quietly while Adkins made no move against him. Bluefire and Adkins visited Dragonblood Castle after observing Jason’s battle, and Jason welcomed them inside.

  • Jason told Veronica, Monica, and his other friends that strong comprehension, soul power, and divine artifacts could let Midgods defeat weaker Highgods.
  • Jason predicted that Monica, Linley, Wharton, Bebe, Olivier, and Clear Spring could eventually reach the peak of Highgod strength.
  • Jason cultivated in peace for a year and avoided drawing attention while he judged that he could not yet defeat Adkins.
  • Jason watched Jenny and the formation masters examine the damaged Deathgod Golem, but Jenny warned that dismantling it could trigger an explosion.
  • Adkins arrived at Dragonblood Castle with Bluefire and their companions, introduced Bluefire as the ruler of Bluefire City, and Jason invited them inside.

Ch. 180A Conversation with Bluefire

Jason explained the Netherworld’s hierarchy and his clan’s resources to Bluefire and Adkins, then showed them his collection of battle projections. After the visitors began studying the recordings, Shelley warned Jason that Bluefire was the strongest of the Gebados Plane’s five kings, and Jason urged his companions to keep striving despite their current weakness.

  • Bluefire and Adkins questioned Jason about the Netherworld’s experts, its ranks, his clan, and the Deathgod Golem.
  • Jason refused to explain the secret behind his past battle with the God of Yellow Sand and invited the guests to view his Floating Shadows.
  • Jason showed Bluefire and Adkins the battle projections collected by his clan and from the Necropolis of the Gods.
  • Shelley warned Jason that Bluefire was the strongest of the five kings and perhaps the strongest person in the Gebados Plane.
  • Jason said he believed he could someday reach Bluefire’s level and encouraged his companions not to lose their resolve.

Ch. 181Epiphany and Breakthrough

Jason let Bluefire and Adkins’s followers study the Floating Shadows while his own companions sparred with Gaitenbi. As the fight ended, Jason’s Fate Clone broke through to the Highgod level and merged with his other clone, astonishing Adkins.

  • Burgess emerged from the cave after gaining insight and went to cultivate in seclusion.
  • Gaitenbi asked Jason for a sparring partner, so Jason sent Bebe, Clear Spring, and Olivier to fight him in the arena.
  • The three Lowgods used their strength and abilities to challenge Gaitenbi, who eventually stopped the fight to cultivate after gaining insight.
  • Bluefire watched the battle and spoke with Jason about Olivier’s Soul Mutation and Jason’s concealed clones beneath Dragonblood Castle.
  • Jason sensed that his Fate Clone was making a breakthrough, and after the fight, his golden-robed Highgod Clone arrived and merged with the other Jason.
  • Adkins stared in astonishment and asked whether Jason had broken through to the Highgod level.

Ch. 182Breaking Through to Highgod

Jason’s Fate Clone unexpectedly broke through to the Highgod level, and he tested its strength before celebrating with Bluefire and Adkins. After deciding to leave the Yulan Continent, Jason arranged for O’Brien and Catherine to guard it and invited his companions to travel with him to the Netherworld, while Olivier chose the Infernal Realm instead.

  • Jason tested his Fate Clone’s combat abilities and found that it could reach the strength of a Six-Star Fiend when combined with his other clones.
  • Bluefire and Adkins congratulated Jason at a banquet and thanked him for helping their cultivation; Jason kept their offers of help in reserve.
  • Jason told Monica, Tarosse, Dylan, Linda, and the others that he planned to leave for the Higher Planes and asked who would accompany him to the Netherworld.
  • O’Brien and Catherine agreed to remain on the Yulan Continent for a hundred thousand years in exchange for the Divine Sparks Jason had given them.
  • Most of Jason’s companions agreed to travel with him, but Olivier chose to go to the Infernal Realm to temper himself.

Ch. 183Slaying Sadista

Jason demonstrated the power of his Annihilation Eye to Beirut, piercing the skin of Beirut’s Sovereign Clone and agreeing to delay his trip to the Netherworld. Sadista of the Renners Clan attacked Jason, but Jason killed him with the Blood Blade and Sovereign’s Might, then hunted down his followers.

  • Olivier left, while Jason stayed because Linda and the others were still refining Divine Sparks; Linley told Jason that the Four Divine Beasts Clan had withdrawn from the Netherworld to the Infernal Realm.
  • Jason explained Annihilation Eye to Beirut and demonstrated that it could reveal lines through which he pierced Beirut’s unusually tough Sovereign Clone.
  • Beirut asked Jason to postpone his Netherworld trip, and Jason returned to Bloodshadow Valley, where Sadista of the Renners Clan challenged him.
  • Sadista shattered Jason’s Crystal Space and destroyed his Bible, but Jason used the Blood Blade and Radiant Sovereign’s Might to kill Sadista and his escaping clone.
  • Jason located Sadista’s Midgod and Lowgod followers in the Yulan Empire and massacred them while Bluefire’s and Adkins’s divine senses watched.
