Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Quasi-Saint 46 By the Immortal Court–Demon Court conflict, Di Jun and Taiyi are described as Quasi-Saints. No breakthrough scene for Di Jun is provided. 46

Background / History

Di Jun resides on the Sun Star with his younger brother, Taiyi. Upon receiving the Purple Heaven Palace’s transmission, he considers the Dao Ancestor’s sermon a chance to assess the Primordial Era’s powerful figures and find support for the Demon Race’s ambition to establish order. 8

He travels to Purple Heaven Palace with Taiyi, competing with other great powers for access through the chaos. The palace’s modern and eccentric interior leaves both brothers questioning whether attending the sermon was a mistake. 12

Although the first sermon’s team-building activities are humiliating and bizarre, Di Jun later finds that his cultivation has improved and his karma has been reduced. He and Taiyi recognize the value of the outcome for the Demon Race despite the experience. 16

During the first Witch-Demon War, Di Jun deploys the River Diagram and Luo Script to activate the Grand Formation of the Stars, drawing down stellar power against the Witch race. The conflict is forcibly halted when the Heavenly Dao takes control of Xiao Kuang’s body. 18 19

After being ordered to submit a thought report, Di Jun personally visits Purple Heaven Palace. Xiao Kuang’s advice on work-life balance and “Lazy Management” initially confuses him, but Di Jun seriously considers applying it within the Demon Race. 20

Personality

Di Jun is ambitious, calculating, and highly conscious of the Demon Race’s long-term position. He treats the Purple Heaven Palace sermons as opportunities to evaluate rivals, advance his realm, and strengthen his court rather than merely acts of devotion. 8 16

As Demon Emperor, he tries to preserve his dignity and maintain diplomatic composure even when Xiao Kuang behaves offensively. This restraint repeatedly turns into frustration when Xiao Kuang poaches his officials, raids his treasury, or humiliates him publicly. 31 32 48

He is unexpectedly receptive to practical ideas. Despite recognizing the absurdity of Xiao Kuang’s management philosophy, he drafts Demon Race rest regulations and considers the proposed “Fortune Management Method.” 20 31

At the construction site, Di Jun uses the River Diagram and Luo Script to calculate an efficient workflow, but must ultimately follow Xiao Kuang’s assembly-line system and enforce its requirements on the combined workforce. 50

Trivia

  • Di Jun’s thought report is written in restrained bureaucratic language about war, economic development, and future cooperation; Xiao Kuang grades it B and calls it full of “Heavenly Emperor’s hypocrisy.” 49
  • He fears being assigned work at Purple Heaven Palace more than rewriting his self-criticism. 48
  • The phrase “write a self-criticism report at the Purple Heaven Palace” becomes effective enough to silence Taiyi and East King Duke during the East Sea construction project. 50
