Arc 1The Colosseum Wager

Longinus grew up under Homing’s care while struggling with dangerous traits, then went to the North Star Colosseum and intervened when Freck arranged a rigged match involving Jessica’s father. The arc left Hector back on his feet, facing Polo the Mountain as Freck ordered the fight to continue.

  • Lu Ye chose the One Piece world after dying, was reborn as Longinus in the Donquixote family, and learned from Jinbao that Homing planned to give up the family’s Celestial Dragon status.
  • Lu Ye gained the Brute and Hangry traits, beat Doffy and Rosy in a fight, and later went berserk when hunger and uncontrolled Armament Haki overwhelmed him.
  • Homing and Liana cared for Longinus through his dangerous episodes, and Homing delayed the family’s departure from the Holy Land while Longinus recovered.
  • Doffy and Rosy persuaded Liana to let Longinus leave the family quarters, and Sullivan led him to the North Star Colosseum, where he met the enslaved gladiator Jessica.

  • Hector survived the opening clashes and became one of the final contestants, but Polo the Mountain battered him as the crowd and Celestial Dragons watched.
  • Longinus leaped from the stands with Jessica after Hector fell, confronted Freck in the arena, and watched Hector rise as Freck ordered Polo the Mountain to kill him.
Chapters 1–25 Vol. 1 Read

Ch. 1Am I Fighting Joy Boy?

After learning that his violent undercover career had earned him a choice of destination, Lu Ye asked Jinbao to send him to the Pokémon world with a wealthy, strong identity. Their faulty setup instead sent them to the Land of Exile, where the destination was revealed as the Pirate King world.

  • Lu Ye awoke in the Underworld and told Jinbao, an Underworld intern, how he had infiltrated Green Biao’s gang, fought rival gangs, driven out drug dealers, and died in an explosion with Green Biao and four Siamese dealers.
  • Jinbao judged Lu Ye’s merits complete and offered him a choice of worlds, recommending Pokémon, so Lu Ye chose it and requested a rich, healthy, strong identity.
  • Jinbao configured Lu Ye’s new identity using Ash’s body template, then entered Nurse Joy as his required rival after Lu Ye suggested a doctor as a way to ensure good health.
  • Jinbao activated the teleportation system, but the coordinates shifted after they vanished, revealing a World Malice Index of 98% and the Land of Exile—Pirate King.

Ch. 2Donquixote Longinus

Lu Ye was born as Longinus into the Donquixote family in Mary Geoise, where he discovered that his new life was in the One Piece world rather than Pokémon. As Saint Homing prepared to raise Longinus on Earth, Longinus was handed to the family butler, while Homing and Liana resolved to stay together.

  • Lu Ye was born to Liana, and Jinbao identified their location as Mary Geoise and the family as Donquixote.
  • Saint Homing named the newborn Longinus and introduced him to his brothers Doffy and Rosy.
  • Longinus urinated on Doffy and Rosy, angering Doffy and startling the half-asleep Rosy.
  • Saint Homing sent Longinus with Sullivan to the nursery hall after Longinus resisted being teased.
  • Saint Homing told Liana that Longinus would grow up on Earth as an ordinary child, and Liana agreed to stand by him.

Ch. 3Dad, Please, Not My New Account

Lu Ye learned that he had been reborn in the One Piece world as a Donquixote child and that his father planned to renounce his Celestial Dragon status. Jinbao revealed the family’s coming tragedy, leaving Lu Ye furious at the future awaiting him.

  • Lu Ye drank milk in the Donquixote nursery and grew suspicious of Jinbao’s guilty behavior.
  • Jinbao explained that they were in the One Piece world, where danger and powerful enemies threatened Lu Ye’s survival.
  • Lu Ye argued that noble privilege would protect him, but Jinbao told him his father planned to give up the family’s Celestial Dragon status.
  • Jinbao described how the family would fall into poverty, Lu Ye’s mother would die, Doffy would kill their father, and Doffy would later kill Rosy.
  • Lu Ye angrily compared his brothers’ future betrayal and criminality to his own past life as an undercover agent who betrayed his boss.

Ch. 4The Insomnia Ability

Newborn Celestial Dragon Lu Ye persuaded Jinbao to connect with the world of Pirate King and learned he could draw Pokémon abilities. To stay awake, Lu Ye gained Insomnia and entered Marshall D. Teach’s name on the mysterious screen, setting the ability’s curse on the future villain.

  • Lu Ye confronted Jinbao about his useless Pokémon-world items and demanded that he get authorization from the local world’s will.
  • Lu Ye sent the world’s will a message apologizing as Jinbao’s son, and the reply connected Jinbao to the world of Pirate King.
  • Jinbao revealed that Lu Ye could draw an ability at birth and on several later milestones, then let him choose a bead from the raffle box.
  • Lu Ye swallowed the Insomnia bead, which removed his drowsiness but produced a mysterious screen asking for the name of someone who could never sleep.
  • Jinbao showed Lu Ye a picture of Marshall D. Teach, and Lu Ye wrote his name on the screen, causing it to shatter.

Ch. 5My Name Is Lu Ye, and I'm Here to Blow Things Up

Lu Ye set out to teach his father Homing a lesson by making him experience the trials of caring for a restless baby. After Homing brought him to the family bedchamber, he struggled to put Lu Ye to sleep and went searching for books on how to handle him.

  • Lu Ye declared that he would educate his father, Homing, by keeping him up with the demands of a baby.
  • Lu Ye directed Sullivan to take him to the bedchamber where his parents had been, but they had already left the delivery room.
  • Homing eagerly welcomed Lu Ye and brought him to the family bedchamber for the night.
  • Sullivan explained that Lu Ye had not slept since birth, though a doctor had found him healthy.
  • Homing asked Sullivan how to make Lu Ye sleep, then climbed the bookshelf to fetch books.

Ch. 6Read to Me, Blond Pops

Lu Ye demanded that Homing read him an underworld novel, using the chance to learn the local writing system. Homing indulged him, unaware that Lu Ye believed his presence was protecting him from danger.

  • Lu Ye rejected Homing’s picture books, geography books, poetry, history, and science, then insisted on hearing a novel.
  • Homing searched Lady Daisy Liana’s books and chose “Vicious: The Martin Family of Cook Street” after Lu Ye eagerly approved the underworld genre.
  • Lu Ye made Homing point to every word and read with expressive voices, while he listened and studied the written language.
  • Sullivan and the guards rushed in after Lu Ye’s bottle-banging sounded an alarm, then returned to their posts when they found no assassin.
  • Sullivan brought tea and milk every half hour and changed Lu Ye’s diaper three times, while a nurse praised Homing as a good father.

Ch. 7A Father's Love Is as Mighty as a Mountain... Crumbling and Splitting the Earth

Teach found an enormous pair of women's panties on a deserted island and suspected they belonged to Whitebeard. Meanwhile, Lu Ye continued tormenting Homing with cries and tricks, and the family reaffirmed that they would leave Mary Geoise together rather than abandon him.

  • Teach stood watch while the Whitebeard Pirates slept, but a huge pair of black women's panties flew onto his face and he burned them in the bonfire.
  • Teach considered who aboard the Moby Dick could own the panties and wondered if Whitebeard wanted to be a mother.
  • Homing struggled to finish reading the Martin Family novels because Lu Ye screamed whenever Sullivan tried to take over.
  • Lu Ye admitted to Jinbao that he had stopped crying to test his education and listened as Homing confessed his exhaustion to Liana.
  • Homing insisted that the Donquixote Family would leave Mary Geoise together, and Lu Ye screamed at every suggestion that he stay with someone other than Homing.
  • Lu Ye fell silent when Homing asked if he wanted to stay with Daddy, then provoked him before throwing himself into his arms.

Ch. 8Trait: Strongman

Lu Ye received the Strongman trait, which doubled his strength in combat, and dismissed it as pointless because he expected no one to fight him. Meanwhile, Doffy and Rosy headed toward the nursery palace to punish their baby brother Longinus for peeing on their heads.

  • After telling stories for more than forty hours, Homing finally passed out, and Lu Ye left with the remaining Martin Family books.
  • Lu Ye settled into the nursery palace and used Sullivan’s help to read unfamiliar characters.
  • Jinbao offered Lu Ye the Strongman trait, which doubled his physical attack in combat, and Lu Ye accepted it.
  • Lu Ye found that the trait only activated during combat and decided it was useless for a Celestial Dragon who would not be attacked.
  • Doffy and Rosy led CP Agents toward the nursery palace to beat up Longinus, while Rosy awkwardly asked Doffy to apologize if he ever beat him.

Ch. 9Brotherly Love and Respect in the Donquixote Family

Lu Ye fought Doffy and Rosy after they came to the nursery seeking revenge for being peed on, and he beat them both despite being only three days old. When Liana arrived, Lu Ye made it look as if his brothers had bullied him, and she comforted him while scolding Doffy and Rosy.

  • Doffy and Rosy confronted Lu Ye in the nursery, demanding revenge for the time he had peed on their heads.
  • Doffy attacked Lu Ye, triggering Lu Ye’s Brute Trait, and Lu Ye struck Doffy in the abdomen.
  • Rosy tried to get Lu Ye to apologize, but Lu Ye knocked him down and beat both brothers.
  • The CP Agents outside mistook the brothers’ cries for Lu Ye begging for mercy while Sullivan called Liana to stop the fight.
  • Lu Ye pretended Doffy and Rosy had bullied him, and Liana picked him up and ordered a nurse to check him for injuries.

Ch. 10The Trait [Hangry]

Lu Ye endured his father Homing’s fearsome demands for stories while Homing struggled to sleep, then received the Pokémon trait Hangry from Jinbao. The trait turned Lu Ye’s hands black and warned him to watch out for hunger.

  • Doffy and Rosy discussed their fight with Longinus and claimed their injuries came from battling agents.
  • Homing woke after a day and night, panicked when he saw Lu Ye, and fled the bedchamber after Lu Ye shrieked at him.
  • Liana explained that Lu Ye had behaved quietly and said Homing was experiencing ordinary fatherhood for the first time.
  • Homing and Liana took turns caring for Lu Ye, leaving Homing with only a few hours of sleep each day.
  • Jinbao revealed that his earlier prize draw had been marked as a violation, then drew the Hangry trait for Lu Ye.
  • Lu Ye ate the trait and read its warning about hunger as both his hands turned black.

Ch. 11The Donquixote Family's Loving Father and Filial Son

Lu Ye lost control under the effect of his trait and attacked Homing and the people around him while driven by hunger. After he knocked Evan unconscious, Hoffman decided to alert Saint Garling because the agents could not handle an out-of-control Celestial Dragon.

  • Lu Ye's blackness spread and his hunger overwhelmed his reason, leading him to bite Homing's hand.
  • Lu Ye struck at Homing, but Jinbao redirected the punch into the wall, knocking Homing unconscious.
  • The guards entered and mistook Lu Ye for an assailant until CP Agents identified him as Saint Longinus.
  • Hoffman tried to approach Lu Ye, but Lu Ye attacked Evan and sent him crashing into a wall.
  • Hoffman told Evan to notify Saint Garling, and Evan stood up and left the room.

Ch. 12Goddess of the Dark Night, Are You Sick in the Head?

Lu Ye’s uncontrolled Armament Haki drove him into a hunger-fueled frenzy, and Saint Garling repeatedly used Conqueror’s Haki to knock him unconscious and halt it. When the Goddess of the Dark Night kept waking Lu Ye, Garling declared him doomed, but Jinbao arranged for bottles of milk to fall near Liana, who held one to her son’s mouth as Garling left.

  • Lu Ye chased Jinbao through the bedchamber, wrecking it and throwing guards aside while his strength and hunger grew.
  • Saint Garling arrived, subdued Lu Ye, and recognized that his uncontrolled Armament Haki was draining his life force.
  • Garling repeatedly knocked Lu Ye unconscious with Conqueror’s Haki, but the Goddess of the Dark Night kept waking him, and Lu Ye cursed her as the struggle continued.
  • As the Celestial Dragons and CP Agents collapsed from the repeated Haki waves, Garling said Lu Ye could not be saved and urged Liana to have another child for the Knights.
  • Jinbao rammed Sullivan and sent three bottles rolling to Liana, Doffy, and Rosy; Garling left Lu Ye with Liana, who brought a bottle to his mouth.

Ch. 13The Big Eater Lu Ye

Lu Ye’s Armament Haki receded when he drank enormous amounts of milk, but it began returning at regular intervals, forcing the Holy Land’s agents to keep him fed. After Homing woke and learned what happened, he and Liana decided to postpone leaving the Holy Land because Lu Ye’s extraordinary abilities could keep the family under the Five Elders’ control.

  • Lu Ye shattered a milk bottle with his powerful suction, and Garling suspected he had Life Return and offered him a reserve place among the knights if he survived.
  • Hoffman ordered Sullivan to gather baby food, and Cipher Pol agents milked animals across the Holy Land ranch to supply Lu Ye.
  • Lu Ye drank a huge jar of milk, causing his Armament Haki to retreat and his body to regain its chubby appearance, but the Haki soon began spreading again.
  • Homing woke at dusk, found his residence wrecked, and reunited with Liana, who explained Lu Ye’s berserk episode and the agents assigned to watch him.
  • After Liana told Homing that Lu Ye’s condition involved uncontrollable Armament Haki and rapid eating through Life Return, Homing agreed to delay the family’s departure from the Holy Land.

Ch. 14Time Never Stays, the Seasons Flow By

Lu Ye spent his first three years confined to the Donquixote family compound, bored by his demanding diet and amused by the agents assigned to protect him. After a prize draw gave him the useless [Torrent] trait, he postponed his remaining draw, and another two years passed with him still waiting for a chance to leave.

  • Lu Ye remained inside Homing's residence, where Homing devoted himself to raising him and Sullivan became his personal butler with three armed subordinates.
  • Hoffman, Flora, and Evan regularly hunted Sea Kings to feed Lu Ye, while Bobo was relieved when Lu Ye was weaned and the ranch's animals were no longer being eaten.
  • Jinbao returned after a year and a half away, explaining that he had spent the time writing self-criticism reports for intervening to save Lu Ye.
  • Lu Ye persuaded Jinbao to let him make up his birthday prize draws and received the trait [Torrent], which doubled water-attribute skills during combat.
  • After joking about the trait's effect, Lu Ye decided to postpone his remaining first-birthday draw until his luck improved.
  • Two more years passed, and Lu Ye remained frustrated that he still had no chance to go anywhere.

Ch. 15Longinus Needs to Make New Friends

Doffy persuaded Rosy to ask their parents to let Longinus go out with them, hoping to take him to meet new friends after losing a bet to Charlos. Homing and Liana agreed, with Sullivan and Hoffman assigned to keep Longinus safe and fed, while Rosy stayed focused on the barbecue.

  • Doffy convinced Rosy to ask their mother to let Longinus come out with them, arguing that he needed freedom and friends.
  • Doffy and Rosy arrived at their parents’ quarters, where Homing, Liana, Longinus, Sullivan, and Hoffman were enjoying a barbecue.
  • Rosy asked Liana if Longinus could go out with them, and Doffy added that the boy needed to see the world beyond his parents’ quarters.
  • Homing supported the outing, and Doffy persuaded the hesitant Liana that Longinus could manage with Sullivan and a cook accompanying him.
  • Hoffman and Sullivan promised to protect Longinus and remind him to eat on time, while Rosy asked if a piece of barbecue was his.

Ch. 16North Star Colosseum

Lu Ye followed Doffy and Rosy through Mary Geoise to the North Star Colosseum, where he encountered the venue’s blood-soaked, raucous atmosphere. He entered despite the stench, leaving the story at the threshold of whatever awaited inside.

  • Doffy fumed over Rosy’s greedy eating, while Rosy worried that Doffy had overeaten and hurried after him.
  • Lu Ye watched the brothers walk ahead and reflected that his intervention had changed their family’s fate.
  • Sullivan told Lu Ye that the North Star Colosseum was founded by Saint Augustus and was the grandest slave colosseum outside Pangaea Castle.
  • Lu Ye strolled through Mary Geoise with Sullivan, Hoffman, and the others, observing the Celestial Dragons’ surroundings and asking what they did at home.
  • Lu Ye reached the North Star Colosseum, smelled blood and sweat, heard the crowd inside, and decided to enter.

Ch. 17The Gladiator Girl

Lu Ye met Jessica, a young gladiator who believed the Celestial Dragons had given her and her father a chance at freedom. After learning the truth about her slave brand and her dream of watching her father fight, he prepared to help her as Sullivan called him to dinner.

  • Sullivan worried that Lu Ye had been taken, but Hoffman reminded him that powerful nobles had staged abductions before, and Flora said Lu Ye was having fun.
  • Jessica pulled Lu Ye into an antechamber and warned him that wandering the Celestial Dragons’ colosseum alone could get him killed.
  • Jessica explained that she was a gladiator at the North Star Colosseum and that her father, Hector, had won nineteen matches.
  • Jessica showed Lu Ye the slave brand on her back and repeated her belief that Saint Rosward had rescued her family and would let them earn their freedom.
  • Jessica told Lu Ye she dreamed of watching her father fight, and he hinted that freedom might not require winning so many matches.
  • Sullivan knocked on the iron door and told Lu Ye it was time for his meal.

Ch. 18Mad King Longinus Takes the Stage

Lu Ye joined Doffy and Rosy in a private viewing box, where he mocked the young Celestial Dragons and met their friends before a gladiator show. After Doffy introduced the group, Jessica timidly asked whether Rosward was Saint Rosward.

  • Lu Ye barged into the viewing box, insulted Rosward and Shalria, and teased Rosy about drinking and his height.
  • Lu Ye transformed Rosy's hairstyle, reassured him about his prospects, and jokingly recommended Bobo beast milk.
  • Doffy introduced Mjosgard, who offered to give Lu Ye collars for capturing Fish-Man slaves; Lu Ye eagerly accepted.
  • Doffy introduced Freck, the son of colosseum owner Augustus, and Rosward, Charlos, and Shalria.
  • Shalria proposed that Lu Ye consider marrying her, but he rejected the idea by pointing out that he was only three and a half.
  • Jessica peeked out from behind Sullivan and timidly asked Rosward if he was Saint Rosward.

Ch. 19The Gladiatorial Spectacle

Lu Ye was drawn into a North Star Colosseum match after Freck arranged for Jessica to become his slave and challenged him with the promise of a 3.5-billion-Beli prize. The match began, but Lu Ye rejected Freck’s sales pitch and asked for a refund as he prepared to leave.

  • Rosward asked who brought Jessica, and Lu Ye claimed her before Jessica introduced herself as Hector’s daughter and a gladiator.
  • Charlos recognized Jessica as his slave, then agreed to give her to Lu Ye after Freck whispered to him.
  • Freck invited Lu Ye to enter Jessica in a hundred-person battle against Polo the Mountain, offering free entry and a 3.5-billion-Beli prize.
  • Lu Ye proposed that Doffy lend him his captain slave and split either the winnings or the entry fee, and Doffy agreed.
  • Freck began the match and described the gladiatorial tradition and his family’s status, while Lu Ye dismissed his claims and asked where to get his entry fee refunded.

Ch. 20A Conspiracy Hidden in the Shadows

Lu Ye realized Hector, Jessica’s father, was entering the colosseum as his slave and ordered the match officials to keep him alive. He learned Freck had engineered the wager and match to provoke him, while Rosward and Mjosgard explained the political motives behind the scheme.

  • Freck withdrew after Lu Ye confronted him, and Lu Ye condemned the spectators for enjoying slave fights.
  • Jessica spotted her father Hector among the gladiators, and Lu Ye discovered Hector was competing as his slave through Doffy’s wager with Rosward.
  • Lu Ye ordered Sullivan to announce that anyone who harmed Hector would face his wrath, and Hoffman went with Sullivan to arrange it.
  • Lu Ye reconsidered whether Hector’s presence was a coincidence, then learned Freck had arranged the wager and rigged match to bring him to the colosseum.
  • Mjosgard said Freck wanted to impress Garling by undermining Lu Ye, while Rosward said he had agreed to help because he wished to support an outstanding junior.

Ch. 21The Gift of Freedom

Lu Ye used Longinus's authority to protect Hector from being killed in the gladiator match, but Freck declared that the match would proceed and offered freedom as its grand prize. Hector had to survive the contest to escape Mary Geoise with Jessica.

  • Rosy asked Longinus to withdraw Hector from the match, but Charlos explained that contestants could not leave the arena and that only Garling could stop the event.
  • Sullivan announced Longinus's decree sparing Hector, backed by Hoffman saying Garling would regard Longinus's will as his own, and Freck declared the decree would take effect.
  • Jessica asked Longinus to let Hector fight freely, and Lu Ye agreed, believing Hector had to survive the match to return safely to the sea.
  • Freck announced an increased prize, including freedom for the victorious slave and their family, and promised the reward would reach the winner's family even if the victor died.

Ch. 22Dreams Come True and Dreams Shattered

Jessica celebrated the truth of the Gladiator King’s promise while Hector fought in the arena, but the brutal opening clash showed her the violence of gladiatorial combat. Lu Ye warned her that no medicine could heal every wound, leaving her faith shaken as the spectacle continued.

  • Jessica rejoiced that the honor, prize money, freedom, and healing promised by the Gladiator King were real, while Hector prepared to fight his way home to her.
  • Freck offered Hoffman a place as captain of his personal guard, but Hoffman declined and left with Sullivan to report back.
  • Hoffman told Sullivan that Lord Saint Garling had ordered his squad to follow Sullivan’s orders when Longinus gave none, then questioned how Sullivan had reacted so quickly without knowing Observation Haki.
  • The arena bell rang, and Hector was immediately attacked by a group of slaves; he defended himself with his shield and battle-axe as the crowd cheered.
  • Jessica watched Hector and the other gladiators suffer gruesome injuries and tried to believe the Gladiator King would heal them, but Lu Ye told her no medicine could mend every external wound.

Ch. 23The wager: The winner loses everything

Jessica broke down after realizing that her father’s stories about gladiator honor were lies, while Lu Ye decided to let Freck’s wager play out and make him pay for targeting Hector. In the arena, Hector rejected an offer to team up, and Polo the Mountain killed the Longleg gladiator before turning his attention back to Hector.

  • Jessica hugged her knees and sobbed as she remembered her father’s violent actions and the lies he had told her about gladiators.
  • Lu Ye told Rosward that he would wait for the match’s outcome and warned that Freck would pay for his move against Hector.
  • Hector defeated a red-bearded opponent and retreated to the arena’s edge as the remaining gladiators struggled against Polo the Mountain.
  • A middle-aged Longleg gladiator offered to team up with Hector, but Hector refused because he did not trust pirates.
  • The Longleg gladiator attacked Hector, but Polo the Mountain cut him in two and said he would deal with Hector after the others.

Ch. 24Average

Lu Ye and the other Celestial Dragons watched Hector face Polo the Mountain in the arena, where Hector was knocked down and declared defeated. As Jessica cried for her father, Lu Ye jumped from the stands with her, and Hoffman caught them safely.

  • Hoffman described Polo the Mountain as an average fighter despite his strength and size, while the Celestial Dragons watched the bloody gladiatorial match.
  • The Mountain and Hector became the final contestants after the other fighters were swept into the shark-filled pool.
  • Hector attacked with his shield and axe, but the Mountain’s Tekkai stopped his blow and the Mountain smashed him into a crater.
  • The Mountain celebrated as the host announced Saint Freck’s victory over Saint Longinus, while Jessica cried out for Hector to get up.
  • Lu Ye grabbed Jessica and leaped from the stands, and Hoffman and his agents appeared below to catch them safely.

Ch. 25The Lost Bet

Lu Ye confronted Freck after rescuing Jessica and threatened to kill him, but Freck invoked the gladiator tournament’s rule that only one fighter could leave alive. The chapter ended with Freck ordering Polo the Mountain to kill Jessica’s father, Hector.

  • Lu Ye arrived with Jessica, while Shalria watched jealously from the stands and argued with Charlos.
  • Jessica reached the arena’s barrier and cried out to her father as Freck gloated over his apparent victory.
  • Lu Ye counted down and threatened to kill Freck, who tried to use the threat to call for Garling’s intervention.
  • Lu Ye warned Freck not to leave his basket, but Freck insisted that the tournament’s rules still required one victor to survive.
  • Hector rose in the arena, and Freck ordered Polo the Mountain to beat him to death.
