Banishment to Earth

Thor was preparing to inherit Asgard’s throne when Frost Giants infiltrated the weapons vault. Rejecting Odin’s restraint, he led Loki, Sif, Fandral, Hogun, and Volstagg into Jotunheim, where their actions nearly ignited war between Asgard and the Frost Giants. Odin intervened to save them, then declared Thor unworthy of kingship, stripped his divine power, and exiled him to Earth. 28

In a New Mexico desert town, Thor was struck by Jane Foster’s vehicle and taken to a hospital. After escaping in a hospital gown while searching for his hammer, he met Tang Tianqi. The two became drinking companions, with Thor calling Tang his friend after their extended drinking contest. 28 29

Earthly Trial

Thor and Tang later fought in a friendly but intense spar. Thor relied on more than fifteen centuries of combat experience and his bloodline rather than formal cultivation techniques, while Tang used overwhelming physical power and afterimages to give him two black eyes. 31 33

After Tang confirmed that he knew Thor’s true identity and had spoken with Odin, Thor began treating him as an equal rather than an ordinary mortal. He gave Tang 20% trust, beginning their Luck Sharing connection. 32
