Background

The Douluo Plane once produced multiple gods. Records cited during the debate over godhood state that six gods appeared during the era of Spirit Hall and the Star Luo and Heaven Dou Empires, while Huo Yuhao ascended roughly ten thousand years later. After the God Realm vanished, ascension on the plane became impossible. 113

Chen Yu maintains that the ban on godhood was not a natural law of the plane, but a later restriction. He further reveals that Shrek Academy had obstructed others from becoming gods for twenty thousand years. 113 114

Following the God Realm's disappearance, Tang San's arrangement placed Tang Hao in the lower realm as Plane Master, with control over the plane. Tang Hao later used the Abyss Plane and its inhabitants as fuel for his advancement to a first-rank god, at the cost of countless lives over more than six thousand years. 145 139

Tang Hao lost his position when negative faith backlash caused the plane's will to abandon him. His fall removed the suppression that had prevented peak quasi-gods from cultivating freely. 62

Nature and Laws

• A true plane is a self-contained world with independent laws of nature and an energy cycle; unlike a demiplane, it does not rely on a main plane or physical planet to exist. 124
• The plane's will formerly suppressed gods and forced powerful quasi-gods, such as Yun Ming, to seal portions of their strength to avoid lethal backlash. 12

Life Core

The Golden Ancient Tree served as the natural Life Core of the Douluo Plane, having accumulated life offerings from generations of Sea God Pavilion masters and elders. 157

When Yun Ming absorbed the Golden Ancient Tree, he temporarily inherited its status and became the new Life Core. Chen Yu subsequently erased Yun Ming and Sea God Island, then recondensed the Life Core himself. The plane's disrupted vitality immediately stabilized: its earth pulse recovered, plant life resumed growing, and life energy returned. 163

Inhabitants and Territories

• Humans occupy cities and territories across the plane, while Soul Beasts traditionally held forests and separate domains; the two sides maintained an uneasy balance before Chen Yu's intervention. 122

Three hundred shielded satellites were launched into orbit and positioned to cover the entire Douluo Plane without detection. The Federal Satellite Bureau uses them to capture, track, and analyze suspicious activity. 66 100

Chen Yu can also observe the plane through divine sense, allowing him to detect major events such as the attempt to absorb the Golden Ancient Tree's vitality in Shrek City. 162
