Background

The Douluo Plane once produced multiple gods. Records cited during the debate over godhood state that six gods appeared during the era of Spirit Hall and the Star Luo and Heaven Dou Empires, while Huo Yuhao ascended roughly ten thousand years later 113. After the God Realm vanished, ascension on the plane became impossible 113.

Chen Yu maintains that the ban on godhood was not a natural law of the plane, but a later restriction. He further reveals that Shrek Academy had obstructed others from becoming gods for twenty thousand years 113 114.

Following the God Realm's disappearance, Tang San's arrangement placed Tang Hao in the lower realm as Plane Master, with control over the plane. Tang Hao later used the Abyss Plane and its inhabitants as fuel for his advancement to a first-rank god, at the cost of countless lives over more than six thousand years 145 139.

Tang Hao lost his position when negative faith backlash caused the plane's will to abandon him 62. His fall removed the suppression that had prevented peak quasi-gods from cultivating freely 62. Later, Chen Yu launched a counter-offensive against the Abyss Plane, utilizing the plane's Life Core to drain and devour abyssal energy to permanently end the six-thousand-year conflict 221.

Chen Yu's subsequent political and military campaigns transformed the Douluo Plane. Shrek Academy was sealed and its elders were brought to justice, while the old power structure centered on Shrek, the Tang Sect, and the overseas empires was dismantled 164 208. Star Luo and Dou Ling were subsequently integrated into the Federation, and the government began adopting the name Douluo Federation to represent its authority over the entire plane 220 234.

The plane later became the center of Chen Yu's New God Realm. The new realm was created to house gods born from the Douluo Plane and to prevent the plane from becoming isolated after the disappearance of the former God Realm 160 161 231.

Nature and Laws

• A true plane is a self-contained world with independent laws of nature and an energy cycle; unlike a demiplane, it does not rely on a main plane or physical planet to exist 124.
• The plane possesses a vast, non-humanoid will capable of influencing its overall development, selecting a Child of Destiny, and abandoning a Plane Master whose actions conflict with the plane's living beings 62 219 234.
• The plane's will formerly suppressed gods and forced powerful quasi-gods, such as Yun Ming, to seal portions of their strength to avoid lethal backlash 12.
• After Tang Hao's removal as Plane Master, the restrictions on ascension vanished; the Demon Empress recognized that she could attempt godhood without relying on the Blood River God-Slaying Array 113.
• The former restriction was not an inherent law of the plane. Historical gods, including the Sea God, Angel God, and Asura God, had already demonstrated that the Douluo Plane could produce or support deities 62 113.
• The plane's natural development was repeatedly obstructed by Tang San's manipulation of Soul Beasts, Soul Masters with Evil Martial Souls, continental unification, and successive Children of Destiny 219.
• Every roughly ten thousand years, the plane produces a Child of Destiny. Xie Xie is identified as the true Child of Destiny of the current era, while Tang Hao attempted to transfer Xie Xie's Fortune Power to Tang Wulin 234.
• The Douluo Plane contains multiple cultivation systems and can support paths beyond Martial Souls, Soul Rings, and Soul Skills, including the systems derived from other planes and civilizations 31 124.
• Unrestricted godhood remains potentially dangerous. Future gods could inflict catastrophic damage on the plane even without destroying it outright 160.
• The New God Realm was established to accommodate newly ascended gods and prevent their battles and continued growth from damaging the Douluo Plane 160 161 231.
• The plane can interact with parallel timelines. A minor Space-Time Turbulence later caused the Douluo Plane to overlap with an alternate version of itself following the original historical timeline 274.

Life Core

The Golden Ancient Tree served as the natural Life Core of the Douluo Plane, having accumulated life offerings from generations of Sea God Pavilion masters and elders 157.

When Yun Ming absorbed the Golden Ancient Tree, he temporarily inherited its status and became the new Life Core 163. Chen Yu subsequently erased Yun Ming and Sea God Island, then recondensed the Life Core himself 163. The plane's disrupted vitality immediately stabilized: its earth pulse recovered, plant life resumed growing, and life energy returned 163.

The destruction of the Golden Ancient Tree by Ah Yin and Yun Ming caused the Douluo Plane to lose its established Life Core before Chen Yu restored it 161 221. Chen Yu later utilized this Life Core to absorb and neutralize energy from the Abyss Plane during the Federation's counterattack 221.

The restored Life Core was also part of the strategy for ending the six-thousand-year war with the Abyss Plane. Chen Yu intended to plant it within the Abyss Plane and use its natural capacity to drain and devour abyssal energy 221.

Inhabitants and Territories

• Humans occupy cities and territories across the plane, while Soul Beasts traditionally held forests and separate domains; the two sides maintained an uneasy balance before Chen Yu's intervention 122.
• The Star Dou Great Forest was enclosed by a steel wall equipped with soul-guided detectors and defensive installations 121.
• After the Soul Beast clan submitted, Chen Yu incorporated the Star Dou Great Forest into the Federation and relocated the clan to the Fifth Minor Plane 124 126.
• The Soul Beast clan received the right to reside in the Fifth Minor Plane, but Chen Yu retained control as its Plane Master through a split soul merged with the plane's core laws 127.
• The plane includes the Sun Moon Federation and the overseas Star Luo and Dou Ling continents, all represented on the Federation's three-dimensional world map 149. Following the Federation's military campaigns, both overseas continents were brought under direct administration and incorporated into the newly renamed Douluo Federation 220.
• The Federation's absorption of Star Luo was aided by the population's support for ideological emancipation and equality, followed by the destruction of the old imperial and aristocratic order 234.
• Dou Ling joined the Federation after civil division and the Demon Calamity left much of the region devastated, with its remaining authorities seeking protection and reconstruction 234.
• The plane has access to multiple minor and broken planes. Chen Yu previously possessed six complete minor planes, including the Fifth Minor Plane, and maintained additional broken planes connected to the Douluo Plane or recorded for future use 125.
• Chen Yu's remaining minor planes were used as cultivation grounds for secretly selected geniuses. They contained abundant spiritual energy and resources, producing numerous Title Douluos, Limit Douluos, and other high-level Soul Masters 158.
• The plane's population later entered an era of rapid technological, industrial, and spatial development. Soul Guidance Technology expanded beyond warfare into transportation, construction, exploration, and space travel 238.
• The Plane Pioneering Regulations formalized the exploration and colonization of other planes, accelerating the Federation's expansion beyond the Douluo Plane 238.

Monitoring and Administration

Three hundred shielded satellites were launched into orbit and positioned to cover the entire Douluo Plane without detection 66. The Federal Satellite Bureau uses them to capture, track, and analyze suspicious activity 100.

The satellite network covers the Federation's continental territories as well as the overseas Star Luo Empire and Heaven Spirit Empire 66. It also monitors Shrek Academy and reports whenever one of its elders leaves the grounds 132.

Chen Yu can observe the plane through divine sense, allowing him to detect major events such as the attempt to absorb the Golden Ancient Tree's vitality in Shrek City 162. His mastery of the laws of time, fate, and causality later allows him to identify the true Child of Destiny and inspect an overlapping parallel world 234 274.

After the creation of the New God Realm, the Douluo Plane fell under the realm's protection and administrative system. The new God Realm's committee monitored the plane and other worlds within its jurisdiction 231 252.
