History

For twenty thousand years, the Sea God Pavilion hosted Shrek Academy's most consequential decisions. Its elders regarded themselves as the guardians of Shrek's prestige, backed by accumulated resources, allied sects, and a concentration of the continent's highest-level soul masters. 11 13 84

The pavilion's decline began when Chen Yu targeted Shrek's financial dependence and political network. The Federation withdrew resource support, while the elders proved unwilling to personally cover Shrek's debts despite their status and wealth. 5 7

As Chen Yu destroyed or neutralized Shrek-aligned forces—including the Blue Lightning Overlord Dragon Family, Tang Sect, War God Temple, Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, and Skysea Alliance—the pavilion increasingly became a place of fear, recrimination, and paralysis. 49 83 99

Its leadership maintained an outward appearance of unity even after trust between Yun Ming and the elders had fractured. The pavilion's members continued meeting and issuing decisions, but their shared confidence had largely collapsed. 66

The destruction of the Holy Spirit Cult and the Soul Beast race's submission deprived Shrek of two major justifications for its continued authority. Desperate to restore its prestige, the elders decided to reopen the Demon Gate and later sought to claim credit for resolving the disaster they had created. 110 129 132 135

The revelation that Shrek had helped seal the path to godhood for all but Tang San's associates caused its public legitimacy to collapse. Students withdrew in large numbers, and the academy's former prestige became a source of public condemnation. 113 115

The pavilion's destruction did not erase the consequences of its alliance with Sea God-aligned institutions. Decline and Abandonment

When the Sea God Island elders arrive at Shrek Academy, the institution is deserted: its gates are unguarded, classrooms stand empty, and statues of the Shrek Seven Devils and Huo Yuhao are covered in dust and moss. 155

The Sea God Pavilion itself is found dark, stale, and dust-covered. Its furnishings and archives remain in place, but the chamber no longer contains an active council; only an aged and crippled Yun Ming remains inside. 156 157

Later, the Golden Ancient Tree releases intense golden light across Sea God Island and Shrek Academy. The Federal Satellite Bureau identifies the energy as god-level and cannot observe the academy through the resulting radiance. 161

Following the exposure of the Sea God Family's centuries-long trafficking operation, Chen Yu orders the Tianhai, Donghai, and Beihai naval forces to attack Sea God Island. A Level 10 Fixed Soul Guidance Shell ultimately sinks the entire island beneath the sea, ending the pavilion's physical existence alongside the island. 205 207 211

Poseidon's later discovery of Sea God Island's destruction and the collapse of his bloodline legacy drives him to slaughter Sea Soul Beasts in retaliation. Corroded by faith backlash, a bloodline curse, and other corrupting influences, he is ultimately annihilated by Chen Yu; thus, no divine restoration of Sea God Island or the pavilion occurs. 267 268
